Worst location ever. Ordered online, took ten minutes to get there. Checked in with an employee, waited over 15 minutes more. Customers all mad, service is the worst I've ever seen. First time at this Wendys at the Ka Makana Alii mall. Anyways I decided to go through the drive thru because my friends and customers said they were fast. Plus I only had 15 mins to spare since I had work soon. As I approach the Wendys I was fascinated on how it looked. Anyways as I approached and started to order. The girl kinda sounded like she was busy and kinda rushed me. Ordered the 10pc chicken nugget meal and as I was about to say that I wanted a side Caesar salad, she cuts me off and said is that all your going to order? Best service amongst all the Wendy's I've been too. Employees address you and are very polite. Best of all, they small talk and your food comes with a smile!!! Everyone is smiling how's that! Never seen that at any of the Wendy's. At most of the OTHER Wendy's, people look grouchy and doesn't wanna be there! Who wants to see that kinda attitude?! ‍. Not me!!! I called in to check if they had those little frosty keychains. The employee was happy to hold a few for me! Went in thru the drive thru and I couldn't help myself I had to order nuggets and a burger... Went to order the 4 for $5 Jr bacon cheeseburger, fries, 4 pcs nuggets and drink. The absolute worst experience of customer service I've ever received from someone and it was the MANAGER Dillon. He made our food wrong twice, when I went in to get my sons burger that was wrong and one that was missing Dillons attitude was horrible. He told his co worker "bitch I made that burger already" when he didn't, when he realized he was wrong he just stomped off to make it, the other food looked BAD, not presentable at all. When I requested a refund he threw a fit asking why, when I said I didn't wanna deal with it he threw hands up and said "fine! fine!" I said look at the burgers, they're wrong and they look like a mess. This location is perfectly pleasant. They produce the quality food we expect from Wendy's. The burgers and sandwiches were hot, the fries crisp, and the nuggets perfect. There great the burgers , chili, salads, nuggets and frosty. The taste is always fresh the value is always a great deal no matter what every time we go there we are so satisfied. I love the salads the best number one is apple pecan so much chicken inside too. No matter if the line is long they always keep it moving quickly and efficient . Wendy's is located in Kapolei near the KMart store. Wendy's Kapolei is an alternative burger joint to McD's, BK, Jacks, or Teddy's. It's been a long time since I ate any food from Wendy's. My most recent visit was on a Tuesday night. I met up with another friend and we had dinner. I ordered the Baconator combo with an upgrade to a medium size. Extra 80¢ for a medium upgrade. Since I had the iDcard on hand I also got a free Jr frosty cup. When giving the order to the worker they would punch in the order on the register. The worker even asked for the customer's name. The order would then appear on a small screen facing the customer. How cool is that...at least a customer will know that the order was punched in correctly. The wait time for the food was less than two minutes. That's pretty quick. Wendy's has two touchscreen Coke fountain machines. Between each machine was the counter with condiments, napkins, and plastic utensils. Customers are able to choose to eat their food either inside the restaurant or outside. Inside the restaurant there are four seater tables, two seater tables, counter seating, and a booth that sits up to six individuals. High chairs are provided for families with little children. There is a flat screen TV for customers to watch as well. Outside seating consists of three four seater tables. Wendy's Kapolei passed the Department of Health inspection. I ordered three grilled chicken sandwiches with bacon, the chicken was barely even lukewarm, I would call it cold. I even opened it immediately, while still in the parking lot. Definitely not fresh, I'm pretty sure it would make me sick if I ate it, which made me remember that the last time I ordered a chicken sandwich there, a few months ago, I did get sick after eating it. Food actually tastes pretty good, hamburger and fries came out nice and hot, kids meals came as ordered and the lady working the window was friendly. It's nice to come to one of these places and have them not only provide you with tasty food but also get your order right! Best time to go to this Wendy's restaurant is an hour and half before the restaurant side closes. There's hardly anyone there and you can sit back and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed to leave. The night shift stay is chill and friendly. I love that they have the Pretzel burgers! But what I was surprised to see return for a limited time was their Bacon Cheese Portabella Burger is back and tastier than ever! It's great to drink with a Cherry Coke, another thing I love about Wendy's, one of my favorite sodas at an all you can drink fountain machine! Can't go wrong there! I'm so excited that they built a Wendy's so close to my house! Wendy's is the only fast food joint that doesn't make me feel like I'm having a heart attack after I've eaten there. Their food just seems way less processed than other comparable places. This location does tend to have long lines, but the line moves fairly quickly. My favorite things to order are the nuggets, baconators, salads, chili with rice, and the STRAWBERRY LEMONADE. The only thing I don't like about this Wendy's is that every time I leave the gym (Kapolei 24), I now have to be tempted to not stop by for food after my workouts. read more

I brought a kids happy mega for the crayons because I'm a teacher and wanted to get it for my students. I asked her if I could buy all the colors and in turn she said they don't sell just the toy but she'll give it to me. Hot & Crispy Guarantee- it's a waste of corporate's marketing budget when this location just ignores it and serves warm soft fries!!! We drove through and ordered two meals, picked it up drove to the parking lot to eat. Taking out the meal the fries were not crispy or hot. I got out of the car took both meals inside and asked for the fries to be replaced. The employee went to the manager and asked him. The manager walked over to where the fries were took out the salt bottle shook it over a few times with a look of why are you bothering me, I'm too busy for this. The original employee that I spoke to then asked what size and brought over the replacement. I asked him if that was the manager and he said yes. Horrible and ridiculous experience. I went through the drive through and my friend informed the employee that we had separate orders. We left and got home only to find that my order was missing. We go back to the drive through (inside was closed) and they tell us to pull around and they'll bring it out to us. We waiting almost 10 minutes so I started calling- no answer. I get out and knock on the door. Two minutes later, the employee acts confused and says it'll be right out. A few minutes after that, the "manager" brings it out like nothing ever happened. Pretty long line at the drive thru on Good Friday. I ordered two things: the 3 piece chicken tender & the cod sandwich. Food temp was excellent! I loved it but I felt bad because my 2 year old really wanted some ASAP but I couldn't give it to her since it was too hot for her. The fries was almost cold though. I didnt like the fries. Most restaurants it is the opposite, hot fries while the burger and other finger food arent hot. But this Wendy's is the opposite. LOL. Oh well. Thanks anyways, Wendys Kapolei! Every time I go to this Wendy's (the only one in my area), something always goes wrong. Last week I went to the drive thru and order my usual jr. bacon cheeseburger with a side and a drink. I always park on the side and make sure that my order is correct. In this case, I had no bacon. So I parked and went inside and asked for a new one. I took it and went back and realized that there was still no bacon. I walked back inside and the manager told me that he thought I said no bacon as in I wanted no bacon. He gave me attitude and him being a manager was not professional. He grumbled and made comments to himself about making my sandwich for the third time. Honestly, this ruined my day. Tonight, 21 Nov 2014, I went inside to order because the drive thru had been crowded. I'm greeted with a short line, but as soon as I get to the front, I notice that the cashier has a huge hickey with a diameter of about 2 inches, maybe bigger, with her hair in a loose side pony tail trying to cover it up. She tells me to wait as she's preparing the food with her hair dangling. That is just disgusting, I wouldn't want someone's hair grazing against my food. So I just left. This Wendy's was recently renovated as of 2015. What was renovated was done really nicely. And that's appreciated since this location was beginning to see some wear. The flooring is nice as well as the accented decor. They have a nice large screen LCD TV that plays sports. When I visited, they had the station on the NFL Network. Below that TV is a nice fake fireplace. The only other Wendy's location that has this LCD TV/Fireplace combination is the one in Wahiawa. One thing to mention about this location is that it gets really crowded during the lunch hour. Often the line will snake to the entrance door. I'm not a fan of the Wendy's ordering line philosophy. As with any place, there are negatives. The renovation has not added more seats. I would have thought that because Kapolei continues to grow, they would have actually improved on the amount of seats. This isn't so. The service time has gotten worse. In the past, it never took long to receive my order. They need to work on pushing out the food orders more efficiently. Even the drive thru, though a priority, seems to be slow as well. The drive thru is typically okay, though. They've gotten my order wrong in the past. Drive thru gets busy as well. Snakes around the curve near Kmart. They have the Coca Cola Freestyle machine. Many don't know how to use it. Not sure if it's because the have so many choices or they just are not sure what to do. They have 2 machines. They have (3) outside umbrella tables that seat four. But during lunch, good luck scoring those (during the weekdays). There's a group of old nostalgic & classic car guys who are always there. If you want to see cool classic cars come here. I believe they're called the Kapolei Lunch Bunch. They're harmless, as they just hang out outside under the umbrella seats. I think that with this location, the main fault would be that the renovations didn't make the place any larger or have any more seats available. The service is still the same. I would argue that there's a slight chance that they've gotten worse. Different manager and different crew that was there prior to the renovation. read more
