    Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo
    Genezaret C.

Came for a spicy chicken sandwich combo meal. Enjoyed this meal at the beach and it was so good. A lot pricier than I remember but inflation /: I went ordered from the drive thru and the employee was quick to take my order and get my food! I'd probably come back.

    Palm sized hamburger

Came to Wendy's for a quick little dinner. I was so disappointed that they didn't have my spicy chicken nuggets that I like so much! I got the 4 for 4 deal- double stack burger, 4 chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. It was a Good deal but the burger was literally the size of my palm and of course, it had to be the regular chicken nuggets. My boyfriend got the triple jalapeño cheese burger with onion rings and bacon. It was a decent size but definitely didn't look like the picture online. It was also super greasy. Other than that, the meals were good. Just a little disappointing this time.

On top of that, the ingredients were distributed completely unevenly between the two halves. I literally had to take both halves apart and redistribute everything myself just to make it edible. Nothing about this felt fresh. I also swapped the "house-made chips" for tater tots -- which turned out to be the exact Ore-Ida frozen tots you buy at the grocery store, and even worse... they were undercooked and mushy. I am willing to bet I just paid $16 for about $2.50 worth of ingredients. For $16, this was not just underwhelming -- it was bad, REAL BAD. Do NOT order this sandwich.

Just enough smoke, fat was beautifully rendered yielding a juicy, tender result, BBQ sauce delicious... I polished off the entire rib! My partner and I have been regulars at…read moreTimbers Roadhouse for years, stopping by 4-5 times annually whenever we pass through Goleta. This visit was unfortunately our worst experience there by far. It was the first time we'd sat in the dining room instead of the bar. It was early - around 5:00. The happy hour buffalo chicken sliders and Brussels sprouts were good. However, things went downhill with our entrees. My tri-tip dinner (ordered medium rare) arrived as two thin slices of medium rare covering three slices of gray, well-done meat underneath. It was tough and tasted old - it seemed like the kitchen was trying to hide poor quality, overcooked meat. My partner's ribeye was cooked to the right temperature but extremely gristly - only about half of the twelve ounces was actually edible. When I sent my tri-tip back, our server (who was genuinely trying to help) returned to say they were out of tri-tip and a new one would take 45 minutes. By then my partner was halfway through his steak. I asked to just have the meat removed and I'd just eat my sides. Here's where it went from bad to worse: the manager (owner's daughter) charged us $7 each for the sides as "à la carte" items and argued when I explained I only ate them because that's all I had. She eventually offered 50% off the entrée but her confrontational attitude made things worse. The owner was more understanding when we escalated it to her, but the damage was done. Our server did her best in a tough situation - the issues were with the kitchen and management's handling of the problem. Really heartbroken about this experience at a place we've loved. We'll probably try again someday but will stick to burgers and salads at the bar.

After having a wonderful experience at the Santa Barbara Fish Market in Santa Barbara, we decided…read moreto check out their sister location with a bigger sit down menu. With plenty of parking and plenty of patio and outdoor seating, we took a long time to go over their extensive menu. It's a pretty relaxed casual space. They provide counter service only. So order at the counter, pay, and they'll give you a number. They'll find you whether you're sitting inside or out. So many food options! And they sell so many wonderful refrigerated items beyond fresh seafood. So many pickle varieties! We finally settled on: * Ahi Poke Bowl $18.95 * Fried Soft Shell Crab Sandwich $18.95 - This was no joke of a soft shell crab sandwich. Loaded with coleslaw, butter lettuce, tomato, and pepperonicini, I love when you get a real sandwich that's just too big for your mouth. I did ask for a bit more jalapeño aioli as I like a wetter sandwich. It all sits nicely on a toasted brioche bun. * Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl $18.95 * Confit Tuna Melt $17.95 - This wasn't your average tuna melt with Fiscalini cheddar and Castelvetrao olive. This was pretty good. We enjoyed the food so much we returned the next day! * Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl $18.95 * New England Clam Chowder $6.95 cup - This was a pretty good tasting cup of chowder. * Crab Cake Sandwich $19.95 - This item was on the blackboard. It's a snow crab patty with pickled daikon and fire cracker aioli. It's normally served on a brioche bun, but I subbed with their sourdough instead. * Fish & Chips $19.95, with dirty fried +$3 - This fish is beyond huge! It's massive and definitely excellent for sharing! And it tastes great too! And it lays on a bed of dirty fries. Fish & Chips is the way to go here people! Overall, we had some great eats. I preferred their cooked options, but the poke bowls were popular with my family. They also had fresh uni available too both days we went.

He did not once welcome us so service could be better. We also ordered shrimp tacos as a to-go order and when we were going to eat them we realized we received fish tacos. We checked our receipt and saw he input fish tacos. We also ordered a side of clam chowder soup and their ceviche tostadas. The fish tacos were great quality. The fish was perfectly crisp and light. The corn tortillas tasted great and toppings were good. More lemon slices would have been better as well and some more tartar sauce. The ceviche tostada for a to-go order was packaged great. The avocado salsa and red salsa were delicious. The fish was fresh but the ceviche did need more lemon and more mango. The clam chowder was my personal favorite and everything that makes a good clam chowder was in this. They have great wholesale options as well and indoor/outdoor seating. Overall, our experience could have been better due to customer service lacking but I would recommend the clam chowder.
