    Butter cake special
    Bridget G.

We were taking a slow road trip from LA to SF and making stops to see historical points of interest. We realized we were hungry, and this was the closest restaurant to us. I am so glad we stopped by! I love historic eateries, and this one seems extra special. The restaurant itself is huge, with multiple dining rooms and event spaces. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, and decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender was very friendly and helpful, and pointed out that we still had time for happy hour! We ordered the Brussels sprouts, with a bright citrus kick and not overly-charred like a lot of other restaurants. I ordered the grilled artichoke, the shrimp, corn and jalapeno fritters, and a Winchester cocktail. Husband ordered the Stack sandwich (prime rib, bacon, crispy onions, jack cheese, lettuce and tomato, side of fries). We both really enjoyed the food and ordered another round of drinks. The fritters had a delicious, complex flavor and a good kick! I wish the artichoke had been seasoned more between the leaves so that the "petals" would be softer and more flavorful, but I still really enjoyed it with the aioli. We also split the butter cake, which came with a scoop of ice cream. Our bartender told us that the owner's wife makes the carrot cake from scratch every day (I love restaurant with stories like that!) and we would have ordered that too if we weren't so full! The restaurant also has a huge, dog friendly patio with games. I really liked this restaurant and I'm so glad we just happened to find it on our trip. I'd love to go back.

Big beef rib with baked potato and green beans.

Well seasoned meat with great flavor. Those green beans were amazing full of flavor and garlic. I asked for prime rib medium well and was a bit over cooked for my liking. But it was still good and tender. They have fabulous ranch dressing taste like the classic, if you know you know. Dessert was yummy had chocolate lava cake, forgot to take pic. Was really moist and chocolaty perfect with the vanilla ice cream. The place just gives off an old classic style with the timber wood, very rustic feel. Service was a bit on the slow side, but we were not in a hurry. I prefer that vs being rushed. I had to flag down our waiter to get more water and raw horseradish, the cream one had no kick. But overall was a great meal. Definitely go back. Their hamburgers looked great, from seeing them fly by us. Looked like a real patty, not prepackaged flat patty.

My husband and I brought our littles to enjoy a sit down dinner for our last night of camping at El Capitan State Beach. I ordered the small bowl of the prime rib soup with a side ceaser salad and they were good. Only thing negative i have to say was that i didn't care that the veggies and meat in the soup were tiny pieces. it was more juice/broth than chunks of actual food. BUT! there was flavor! My husband and one of my sons ordered the special for that evening, flat iron steak with potatoes, their seasonal veggies (green beans) and a salad. they enjoyed their steaks. our other 4 kiddos ordered chicken strips with fries and those are always a win! Our server was attentive and patient as our kiddos gave him their order for their food. It was a nice evening with good food to close out our family vacation.

Great food, great steaks, flavorful food, great atmosphere and ambiance. Service is excellent with staff that provide top-notch service. Can't beat the value they provide.

The food service was okay and so was the food. The ambiance was very rustic, classic American and country. The food was okay--nothing spectacular. It was an okay diner that is conveniently located near the freeway.

    Great wedge with fried onions!

Great experience to the money! Phillip was our server and did a great job! This place turned me into a lover of fried pickles! See the photos! I love a good wedge salad, and this was a good one! Great potato skins. The only thing that was not great were the ribs which my friend and the waiter said were overcooked. Phillip took them off the bill. Nice old building, called Timbers because of all of the big wood beams everywhere. Again, great value for Santa Barbra.

We decided to go to a beautiful restaurant for our special family dinner about a week before Christmas. This year we decided on Timber's Roadhouse and it did NOT disappoint. Such lovely ambience with a large roaring fireplace. We also enjoyed learning more about the history behind the "timbers" which make up the building structure, from our servers. Great service too; very prompt! There were five of us and each member of our group received a large, beautiful dinner. I personally tried the sirloin steak soup, which was outstanding. Delicious rolls prior to our meals were also served. It's a treat to go to the Timber's Roadhouse!

delicious lemonade I drank in one bite

the service was very fast, the ambiance was widely selected with corn hole. The food was rather tasty. The menu included food that settled my taste buds. I got the steak, good to perfection, amazing server he has only worked here for three months and already has so much pressure but is doing amazing. 10/1 I will be attending again. (however I was 25 people) the server could only do 3 checks and was very bossy

The food here is terrible. Came here for dinner this past Sunday, and we were thoroughly disappointed . The restaurant interior is nice with plenty of seating and . There is also another dining area off to the side with a bar, which seems to be more casual. The menu has plenty of options from seafood, steaks, pastas, and sandwiches. The waiter was friendly and brought out house bread and took our order. We ordered prime rib and chicken parmigiana. The prime rib was overcooked and dry. The pasta sauce on the chicken parmigiana was no better than Ragu can pasta sauce. The salad and prime rib soup were also terrible , both lacking any flavor. There is plenty of parking, and the staff were friendly, but unfortunately I would never go back.

Until my boyfriend remembered Ca'Dario where he had been with a friend a few years ago. I was skeptical as it was located in a less than quaint building close to Target in Goleta. As soon as we entered, we got the vibe! Crisp white tablecloths, soft lighting, fresh flowers on the tables. We were seated in the back area where we could see the fires in the pizza ovens, creating a cozy, warm atmosphere. Servers were friendly yet professional. For our first lunch, I had sole piccata with spinach, beets, and roasted potatoes. Absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had pasta with meatballs, equally fantastic. The next day, we were in Goleta again. We were so enthralled by our previous experience, we decided to go to Ca'Dario again. We split a fresh, crisp Caesar salad and a pizza capricciosa with artichokes, burrata, olives, mushrooms, and prosciutto. The ingredients were super generous, leaving us totally satisfied. As it happened, we had just met some new friends and we asked them where we could take them for their birthday lunch. They said that their favorite restaurant is Ca'Dario in Montecito. From now on, Ca'Dario will be our go-to place! Amazing!

The best thing about this restaurant is their fries! I never had fries quite like there fries. Their fries are so crispy and is one of the main reasons why we come here. I would usually rate this restaurant 5 stars but after this recent visit I am giving 4 stars. They raised their prices and were extremely disappointed they cut the fries portion in half. Especially since this was one of the best things about this restaurant. I have attached a photo of eating here at Jane's and Aug 2025 and coming back 4 months later to be severed fries that is half the size. They now put the fries in a fry container to make it seem like it's more fries but once you put it on the plate it's such a small amount of fries. The second reason why we come here is for the coconut cake. The cake is always moist never dry when we order the cake however sometimes it can be a hit or miss with how much cake you will actually get. Because sometimes if you order the cake you will get a slice that has more cream and frosting and not as much of a cake layer. Not to mention they raised the price to $14 for a single slice of cake?! Which is so expensive. $14 is almost like ordering half a cake. I really hope that Jane's Restaurant can consider making these changes because their fries and coconut cake is what makes this restaurant amazing Service -Staff is always friendly Note: -They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -They are in the same plaza that has a few stores and other restaurants close by

Loaded with coleslaw, butter lettuce, tomato, and pepperonicini, I love when you get a real sandwich that's just too big for your mouth.
