my eyebrows were just assaulted. i go in to get my eyebrows cleaned up every so often and usually they do good. today i had a middle aged woman come in that i didn't recognize to do my eyebrows. while she was doing them she chuckled and said "you really needed them done"(i have somewhat thick eyebrows). i ignored this comment because they usually do say something out of pocket while doing them just because that's how they are. when i was done, she showed me and i instantly panicked. i saw that half my eyebrows were gone and told her i didn't like it. I first came to this place per the recommendation of my sister and I'm so glad I did! When I first came it was a weekday evening, and it was packed. I would recommend scheduling an appointment. Despite this, no one seemed to have to wait too long. I got a regular pedicure & French dip ombré nails, and I loved them! I had Cindy & she is really sweet and double checked with me to make sure I was happy with the length and shape. My second visit was the other day, where I booked an appointment right when they opened on a Monday. Even then there were several customers already! I got a gel manicure and requested Cindy again. Paid for a pedicure for myself and my daughter, they did NOT massage our feet at all, just the legs for a min, so I was like don't you massage the feet for a pedicure??? It was rushed and I was so upset, Wendy did nothing about it!! On top of it she could have apologized that her workers didn't do it and she didn't! Also for my almost 10 year old, I got her a mani and Peddi they charged me for an adult !! At that point I paid and didn't say anything!! So disappointed!!! And I have gone here many many times!! Moved up to the area 3 years ago and cycled through so many nail salons looking for the same quality and no nonsense that'd I'd get in Queens. I love it here! So many different polish options. Highly recommend an appointment. It's rarely not busy, even with 22 manicure stations, and 8 pedicure stations. My go-to is Teemo. He is wonderful, takes his time, and gives the best foot and leg massages. The Lavender pedi package ($45) is my favorite. It includes a 10 minute massage, hot stones, callus removal, and like a foot and leg mask. Their massage chairs are comfortable, and the entire pedicure station is clean. I don't know why other people are complaining about how their nails were cut, when they didn't communicate upfront what they wanted. Can't fault your nail tech if you didn't give them instructions beforehand. read more

I was in search of a new pedi place open on a Sunday. Called 2 hours ahead for mani/pedi appt, though I'm not sure it mattered when I arrived. The place was packed from end to end at 12:30pm! chose a color, waited, maybe 5 minutes and a young man, Teem? (see pix) escorted me back to a recently vacated pedi chair, which had had its basin washed and re-lined with a clear, plastic, fitted, disposable one, kinda amazing; felt slightly wasteful. Teem seemed slightly new, but skilled in technique. I had a lovely green tea and hot stone massage pedi AND a gel mani and neck massage for a great price and was gifted a nice bottle of hand cream, as a new customer! My advice? Try the new guy! Only cons? it was *really* busy, if you want to chill, bring sunglasses and headphones. read more

I'm not really a fan of giving a negative review but I feel like I have to express my disappointment with Wendy's. I've been coming here for almost a year now. I tried it by chance after my nails continuously broke after each visit. I've been mostly satisfied with my nails here but the last few visits have been rushed resulting in uneven nails & not smooth. It's a very popular nail salon. It's almost always crowded when I go, but I think the "get in as many as we can" practice ultimately has poor results. While I can't speak on running a business like this or any for that matter, but I feel you'd be servicing your customers better if you just took appointments and focused more time on each customer versus getting many customers done as quickly as possible. read more

The first time I came to this nail salon, I was instantly greeted with friendly and happy employees. Mostly all of the chairs were sat in, maybe about 5 people were getting a pedi and I waited only 10 minutes until I was sat in a chair ready for a gel (acrylic) fill with no appointment. I've gone here about 3 times and everytime has been a great experience. I will say I am picky about my nails mainly for my job as a server but I explain what I want and they are so helpful. They ask if the shape is good before moving on and ask if the color looks okay and if I want another coat (when it is a lighter color). I have been to many nail salons and this nail salon is the best place I've been to yet. I defintely reccomend for any type of manicure, especially the gel acrylics! read more

I came to wendy new nails at the recommend of a co worker. I asked for gel extension for 2 nails that broke mid nail bed. I had an appt for mani/pedi. They took me on time for the pedicure but then had to sit 30" for my nails! I also noticed the pedicure chair basins are filthy! Yes they put the plastic liner in however they don't wash the basins between clients! When I got to the technician, I noticed she was reusing files, clippers and cuticle cutters! She talked me into a full set and after the UV gel, they were so thick and square they looked far from natural. Due to the delay in my schedule appt- I had to leave and figured I'd just deal with it. Today I called to have the extensions removed. I was told come on over we are slow. I got there within 30" and every chair filled and 2 other customers waiting- needless to say I got up and left and went somewhere else - my new home was appalled at the thickness of my nails and low and behold, upon removal of extensions I have the very early stage of a fungus infection!!! I received a pedicure and I came in at 6:30 and I specifically said to the young lady who is giving me my pedicure can you please soak my finger nails because I'm having a gel manicure and she goes I will usually file and I said I don't like filing can you please soak them and she ignored me and I asked her againAt least three more times and once I came to get my manicure it became an issue the lady who did my pedicure decided to scream and yell in my ear at her coworker and walked in the back screamed and yelled with the owner the owner came out and apologized and tried to explain to me what they usually do I said I understand that but I was very specific about what I asked I was very considerate of your time because I know what time you close and now I've been made to feel uncomfortable because this woman screaming in my ear and screaming at her coworker then she came back out onto the floor after speaking with you and scream some more and you said oh I'm sorry sorry doesn't cut being brand inappropriate sorry doesn't change you've made your customer feel unwanted and unwelcome and unsatisfied so never will I ever ever come back to your salon and she offered to do it for free I said it's not about the money it's about the principle that you think that it's acceptable for your employee to yell and scream across your store and in my ear and think that I'll take some more abuse and sit down I have so many other options in which to spend my money and people become racist because of issues like this is very unfortunate I tipped the nasty girl and I tipthe girl who was going to give me my gel manicure because I'm am professional !!!! read more

This place sucked. Took my GF here today and she had an awful experience. The nail tech was pushy, rude, and not very accomodating. She must've been having a bad day because she seemed to be arguing with the other workers and not focused on what she was doing. She was hopped on what appeared to be her 5th can of Red Bull and made my GF feel very uncomfortable. The prices were good but you get what you pay for, I guess. My GF has been to many nail salons and continues to categorize the worker's behavior as "unusual". I was going to comment on their cleanliness but I remembered they appeared to be pouring straight acetone directly on the floor at one point. Not sure if this is common practice but it gave me such a headache that I had to leave. Don't think we'll be back. read more

This is my regular nail salon and I'm in love with my nails every time! I always get a gel fill with gel on top and they last about 3 weeks but I go every two. Personally I go to Wendy or anyone but Sophia. She is always rude to me and "swats" my hand away when I need to put them in the light. They have tons and tons of gel colors as well as powder. They were busy but Wendy greeted me immediately and I was in a chair in less than 5 minutes. I had a specific style that I wanted and had a picture to base it off of. I was extremely pleased. Not only did I leave with EXACTLY what I wanted, but it was a great price. I can't remember what mines name was but she was horrendous. My nails are all bumpy and uneven, they are supposed to go straight across and most of them are at a 45 degree angle pretty much, none are the same length or the same thickness in terms of the coffin. As you can see, I just got regular toes and nails done. Due to the whole corona virus a lot of salons are packed and or not open, the salon I usually go to was not open. Because of the corona virus I been avoiding the salons but my fiancé surprised me with a little weekend away as I have been stressed. So I've decided to go get my nails painted. I looked online for open salons and I called a few of them, they were packed, I called this one and they said that they're open and wrote my name down for an appointment. Usually for this exact same manicure and pedicure is 35 dollars at the salon I usually go too and they do a GREAT job. But for some odd reason my total came out to $73 dollars plus tip $81 dollars. Before the virus I got gel acrylic manicure, eyebrows, and a regular pedicure at a different salon and I only spent $51 dollars. Which they also do a great job. But at this place I spent $81 dollars and my finger nails aren't even straight, I asked them not to cut them too short but they did, my entire nail isn't even painted completely. I absolutely would not return. My toe nails came out okay but it needed another coat. Wouldn't have spent more then 20 on my pedicure and more then 8 on my manicure, if it was up.... Update.. spent 73 dollars for 5 days later my nail polish to be coming off. read more

I had my nails done for vacation and decided to get the powder gel. A lady named "Helen" did my nails. The color was supposed to be natural and it's a pale pink. I told her I didn't like the color. She told me that it was nice because its summertime. Then during and afterwards I kept vocalizing how thick they were. She tells me "they are not thick. It's my first time with powder gel so I got to get used to them". I said, "No... they are thick"! She never fixed them. I left unhappy. During my vacation I kept complaining. My gel acrylics looked nice at first. But quickly realized they were not what I wanted at all and are not even as close to as nice they usually are. They never asked me what shape or length I wanted.
