I love coming here to get my nails done. The establishment is clean and well kept. The tools are hygienic and the staff is accommodating. I usually get a gel manicure and there are several color options to choose from. My manicures last and are in good condition beyond the usual 2 weeks. I love this because I use my hands a lot for work and my nails usually get chipped or peel easily. I definitely recommend getting there early on the weekends because it does fill up quickly. Alex did my Mani/pedi and was completely unprofessional. Seemed annoyed that I only wanted my heels pumiced and not the balls of my feet (I'm too ticklish!), so he barely did my heels. Then when I asked him to do 3 coats instead of 2 he got annoyed. I've never felt so uncomfortable getting my nails done. Amazing! Tina is the BEST!! My nails always look incredible and I receive many compliments. My nails were in pretty bad shape 5 years ago from another salon and Tina brought my own nails back. I went to this place for the first time- I'm not sure if it was the lady that did my service or the entire place it self but my nails are breaking already. I got my nails done a little over a week ago and 3/10 of my nails broke ( i got tips with the powder, one solid color ). And my Gel French Pedicure is chipping. Again, i'm not sure if it was specifically my nail lady but i am not have a good experience & I will most likely not be returning. I go back and forth with this place. Most of the nail techs are good, but if you want a place that values your time -- this isn't the place for you. Consistently take clients late for appointment times, then they rush you (sometimes can be a bit rough in the process), and hardly ever apologize for making you wait. I've had this happen to me many times and I have also overheard this being a complaint of other patrons in the waiting area. The prices of things also seem to vary depending on who does your nails, which I don't like either. read more

I've been going back for my gel manicures and wanted to give it more time before updating my review. I've had a very positive experience each time and have had no desire to try other nail salons in the area. I have started getting the SNS powder manicures instead of the gel. It's quicker, lasts longer than standard gel, is more durable, and they always do a precise job. It's only $10 more than gel and even is the same price you'd pay for regular gel in NYC, which is surprising since you'd think the upstate would be more expensive. But the prices here are unbeatable and the service never disappoints. read more

I came into imperial for the first time this week. Staff was very friendly and inside is extremely clean. Prices for pedicures range from $35-$60. I opted for the green tea pedicure, at $40. I enjoyed it and left very relaxed. I would definitely recommend imperial if in the area! read more

So I wish I could give 0 stars, so I went for a gel mani pedi on 5/11 ,@ 6pm the lady was ok she did a rush job but it was decent. the next morning my nail was chipped, I go back around 5pm, they were very busy but they still accommodated me and ask me to pick the colour. So i said I'm not sure what colour because the nail tech picked it out. The lady got nasty and called me a Nigger to her coworker , at first I said maybe I'm hearing things and I let it slide. The first time I went I would have given them 5 stars but I've been there 3 more times and I'm not happy. First, speaking a language amongst each other is understandable but it is constant and uncomfortable. My nail tech took a cigarette break in between my gel manicure. He also used a nail file drill to get off my nail polish- not only do I think that it weakens my nail but now I have an infection due to him cutting my finger. The woman sitting next to me was asking for a flower painted on her nail and they were laughing and talking Chinese- the poor woman looked so uncomfortable- they got a staff woman from the other side of the room to have the client explain it to her. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood, so happy I finally found a great nail salon in Dutchess! My first visit here I honestly wasn't pleased - I got a UV Gel set & the gentlemen who took me was a bit rude and made my nails round despite showing him a picture of coffin nails. I made my last two appointments with Ada though & she is the best!! Did a beautiful job shaping my nails & is incredibly friendly (& funny!) to her customers. I got my first pedicure by Peter today & he did an amazing job as well, very courteous & gives amazing massages! I asked him to please not go too fast w the drill my nails bc he was hurting me... he once again he didn't listen and continued to hurt me.
