Making the reservation was wonderful - simple and confident that our reservation would be held for us unlike many nail salons. The manager, Jin ( Julie) was so pleasant and secured a spot for my daughter and I. When I arrived, I sprung a monkeywrench because I decided to not just get a regular Manny Petty, but to add acrylic/gel nails. She did not make me feel bad about the major change. Instead, she was so accommodating and worked it into the schedule. Since it was a Monday, this was probably a factor that enabled us to make such a big change, but I was really pleased nonetheless I had the lavender pedicure which included lots of rubs and scrubs. Definitely needed that! $40. My hands were completely metamorphosis with the excellent manicure and gel nails Everything about it was spot on. I would highly recommend this salon and plan to return again. Worth the trip from the Town Of Poughkeepsie to Route 52 Fishkill/Main Street. I made an appointment for my lunch hour for a mani/pedi. It's my birthday, so wanted to treat myself. I was made to wait over 15 mintues, left standing at the front desk, ignored, then rudely pointed to a chair. No apologies, no hello. I ordered the fancy pedicure, which I thought might be nice. No real massage, no mud, nothing special save a little parrafin on my heels. I asked then if that was it after they started prepping my nails for polish polish. I asked and pointed to the sign and was told that that was what I got. It wasn't even close. I felt dismissed and frankly rudely treated. I told them that I wouldn't move forward, was STILL CHARGED, paid and left. I have never left a salon before, have gone to this salon for the past few years and will not return under these conditions. Just not worth it. So now, I have unpolished nails which I paid for. Just left this establishment. My usual is too far and with prepping for a vacation I needed something close and hopefully quick for a pedi. I left within 10 minutes. They didn't not have the color I was looking for from OPI - no biggie. I wanted to look and see what they had, they did NOT leave me alone, not totally uncommon even though I expressed I just wanted to look. Found one close enough. Sat down, expressed I had a pedicure yesterday and didn't like the color so I removed it. I just needed a color change. 30 vs 40 for a full pedicure (lol) I said well... might as well! So she starts the pedicure, did not use fresh tools. Instead, hers were laid in a dirty basket and then pulls the nail clipper that was loose in her drawer. Her cuticle cutter tip was enclosed in a dirty plastic protective piece, which cannot go in the autoclave. That's how you know it was dirty. I said that's a health concern and it needs to come from an autoclave or be opened in front of me. She ignores this x3 and I say ok I'm going to leave and then proceeds to wash them with soap in water.... Iy yi yi, I left. How gross. Any nail salon horror story is because tools were not sanitized properly. Beware. read more

This is the only nail salon that I really like. I have been going around trying other places, and keep telling myself just to go back to Love Nails. It was easier to get in before Covid. I unfortunately am not a person who makes appointments for this kind of stuff because I never know what I am doing because of work, and kind of go when the spirit moves me and I have the time. This is why I really haven't gone because they have been turning me away without an appointment - my fault. I like their polish color selection, which is clean & organized, and they use quality brands like OPI and Essie. I don't remember if they have CND Gel nail color. Like most places, the experience is usually technician specific. I have my favorite, but she is always booked with someone. Most of them are good anyway, so it is no big deal. The salon is clean, and I like that they take their time. I hate feeling rushed. I go to relax and have the whole experience. A little self-pampering. My favorite technicians do anyway, and are detailed oriented about things. They always offer a massage which I usually take because I need it. I have had 3 great pedicures here. I never have to wait long for a tech to be ready. Whereas I've been to many places where they sit you in water and forget about you. They take their time and also give amazing foot/ leg massages. The salon definitely needs a refresh/ modernization but it is clean and gets the job done. My nailtech just didn't do a good job. As a nailtech myself I can see she needs more training and really should be a jr nailtech. This was my second time and my last time going. Cuticles are jaggered, she doesn't use nail filler to even out the nailbeds, it was uncomfortable and a little painful, she didn't do a good job all around. Normally I would go elsewhere but they're near 84 ànd i had an appointment that took me in that direction. The technician I had was nice enough but way too rough with the filing. Be aware of the prices. You're seated, with your feet in the water, before you see the menu on the wall. I opted to not have massage/hot rocks. I was charged the same price of $38.00. This is a standard nail place with higher prices. The job was decent and attention was paid to my callouses. I was hit up for payment the minute my piggies were under the dryer. I won't be back. I've been getting my nails done with powder for nearly a year now. Generally speaking this service will last me about a month. Occasionally a nail breaks or cracks, but that's a rare occasion. A large appeal of the powder and how it is advertised is how durable it is.. This was my first visit at love nails. 8/10 nails chipped and broke within a week. I never do this but I felt that it needed to be done. Tonight I went to love nails in Fishkill. I've been going there for a couple months now and it has appeared to be clean and I've gotten great mani/pedis there. Until tonight. When I was there the owner went around to all the stations and picked up the pile of paper towels off the stations, you know the ones that collect the nail clippings or dust and what not. He walked right out the front door and brushed the towels off into the parking lot. Came back in refolded the paper towels and placed them in the pedicure chair drawers. I asked him and he gave me a blank stare. I said to him if I had a fungus on my nails brushing off into the street does not clear it off the paper towel and now you use it on another person, the next person can contract the fungus. He then tells me "Ooo no we use those for the callus treatments". I am now horrified since there's typically broken skin or you are breaking skin to scrape the callus. We went back and forth a bit and he just said he understood and did nothing I told him they should be thrown away and he did nothing. I am disgusted and also concerned on what other corners they are cutting. On occasion one enters a spa, salon or any retail establishment and encounters difficulties. Since I have been using Love Nails the only difficulty I have ever encountered was being embarrassed by a rude client.... these dear people tolerate a gr8 deal of arrogance and criticism and I for one give them credit for doing so. Case & Point: On my last visit a none too young man enters with his wife requesting a pedi---and being quite firm that he MUST be gone in 40 minutes...."yes, we can do that"...and off to the foot bath he goes. What he failed to mention is that those ghastly pods attached to his foot had not seen a real bathing or grooming since his Mama was in charge. YUCH---talons I tell you and dirty. As a poof of powder erupts form his dingy sock...I could catch the gasp of the poor nail tech assigned to this activity. She worked diligently and had to request assitance form another gilr----just toclip the daggers. He grumbled and watched the clock---frequently making comments about technique and time. When it was over---and it was painful to watch---I saw clean white feet, trim nails and another poof of powder as he replaced the yucky sox. He commented to the owner that he mught be late for his appointment and that he could have "done this at home". (clearly he had no intention). Now the wife---she had a manicure---changed her color choice twice, and hovered over the 2 techs working on her husband. His tip? Just a comment : "I'll come back when you have your act together". BTW...as a people watcher---and clockwatcher---he was there for 42 minutes! After his exit the 2 techs, smiling (?), just moved on to new clients...seemingly unmoved by the lack of a real $$$ tip and the gross experience they had just endured. Needless to say, my mani pedi was fine---but HIS experience became a part of my day---next time---Ipod! read more

By far, the cleanest and nicest place I've been to in over a year. I only get a pedicure a few times a year and the basic pedicure was a lovely experience. My feet feel great! And the massages were such a wonderful surprise- a throwback to how nail salons used to be. Plenty of staff, everyone keeps their station impeccably clean and it's evident that the work ethic is shared by all.
