I've been here on more than one occasion and at the very beginning yes it was nice. But then the last time I was here I believe the owner was doing my nails and I was being very specific. Just want it done right and I don't think she did not like that and she started talking in her language to the other workers.. when I went again to get my gel manicure done they had me sitting with my nails soaked to remove the gel for 45 minutes. I was completely ignored. While other customers came in they took care of them right away. I believe that they held a grudge from the last time I was there. Mother-daughter day. Mani-pedis. NO WAITING and excellent service close to home. I haven't been able to get a manicure since PTE COVID. YIKES. very pleased overall. I've been here a few times but I definitely will not be going back after tonight. Last time, my polish was very poorly put on. This time, I'm typing this with 5 bleeding fingers. It was just a fill but it felt very rushed, and somehow while rushing they still managed to stretch out the fill for over an hour because they kept getting up and down and swapping out who was working on my nails. And not a single person said hello to me. They were very rough, hence the bleeding. Even smacking my hand and pulling it every which way. And no one said a single thing to me but screamed the whole time to each other. Very bad customer service and I left in pain. Do not recommend. read more

Normally, I have a very positive experience with this nail salon, but the last two times the same woman did my gel manicure, I've had my nails chip and break and I'm pissed. I usually get a pedicure with it, those are always really nice and well done. But the one employee, she really doesn't know what she's doing. I plan on going back and asking only a specific person I know is good to do my nails. Go to Linda or Cherry if you need the gel manicure, they are the only people who know how to do it in that nail salon! read more

Before I moved out of state, this was my go to nail spot. So I could not wait to come home for the holidays and come get my nails done! They have always done an awesome job, took their time, and my nails always came out great. The staff has always been super friendly as well! Unfortunately this last time wasn't too great. The woman who did my nails (I got a gel manicure) was new to me and I felt like I was an inconvenience to her. She rushed through the whole thing and a few of my nails are crooked and for most of them the polish isn't even all the way down to the cuticle. Since I've always had such good experiences, I'll come back next time I'm home, I'll just make sure I go to the woman I usually went to. So besides this experience, definitely a good spot to get your nails done and cheapest I can find for a gel manicure, 20$! read more

Not really a complainer but when i ask you not to do something you do it considering im the one paying for it. Vincent was my technician usually a pleasant young man but today he went on and on about how my nail beds are so bad we need to make my acrylics short. Once i told him i wanted them longer he told me he can't guarantee anthing meaning if they break he wont be responsible. Little by little he continued to file so much that it went right down to the length he first suggested. I was so mad because i have to pay for something i dont like and when i told him he started to paint my nails so slopppy. All together my nails came out okay but i WILL NOT return to a place that wants to use my money to do what they want. Very disappointed. read more

First I'm not a person who's ever made a review before I did just for this place. I love nail salons and I'm a respectable customer!! I came to this place to get one of their "famous" spa pedicures. Which they say includes 6 different treatments these masks and scrubs ext.. I sat there and the woman simply scrubbed my feet for 10 minutes then painted them and it was done... It was 50 dollars for a normal manicure ?? I'm furious.. If I got a normal pedicure it would've been the same for 25 dollars , I'm not a person with a lot of money so this sucked for me. As the women was doing my nails she managed to cut my fingers and get the gel nail polish all over my finger tips. When I asked her to please take the nail polish off my skin she rolled her eyes, looked at it and ignored me. The staff was very pleasant. However, my results were awful. I got an ANC powder gel manicure. I've had ANC done for almost 2 years straight, so I know for a fact that they should last more than 3 hours. Seven nails cracked by that night. They charged $5 to put silver polish on my ring finger (which they failed to mention when they offered it). Normally I'm fine with paying a few extra bucks for French or a design, but this was literally the exact same polish just in a different color. I've never been charged extra for that before. Went there on Saturday, and by Monday I was back at my regular place getting a new ANC manicure. $40 I'll never get back. Save yourself the money (and time) and go elsewhere - especially if you want ANC. read more

Been here four times and so far love the job they do, I get acrylics each time and they are not to thick, just the way I like them. Only downside is that they push extras onto you. $5 more for a design or $10 for gel instead of regular polish. Overall it is my go to salon and would recommend. read more

I usually like Kim's because of the fastidious clean and welcoming environment, but for the last few times that I have been the two new young women that work there have been rude, rough and callous when handling me and a few other customers. I even tried to acknowledge that the manicurist did a good job and she gave me an attitude by rolling her eyes. Please think about changing staff. read more

Terrible customer service they tell you to make an appointment and when you get there they have already taken someone else. I have been going there for a very long time and I will never go back. I was told to sit in pedicure chair to wait and I asked who was going to do my pedicure they ignored me, because they had no one to do it. Once again, Kim's nail spa disappoints. After not going there for two years I decide to give them another chance...bad decision. After waiting through a wave of customers I received the sloppiest silk wrap in the world. My nails are crooked, shaped terribly and cuticles untouched on top of a very rude nail tech. Ok, so normally I get my nails done in the city (Manhattan). First off when myself and my husband walked in they were very nice. "Hello, how are you? How can we help you?" Great start. Fine. Initially I went in for a mani/pedi but when we saw the gel manicures were only $20 vs. $35-$40 in Manhattan I changed my mind. I decided to go for the gel mani and regular spa pedi. My husband got a regular mani/pedi. Ok the guy doing my feet was super soft. Almost as if he didn't want to hurt my feet. Ladies, if you wear high heels regularly or even sandals in the summer you want your feet scrubbed. You want your cuticles cut. He barely cut my toe nail cuticles. He kept running the nipper over the toe nail bed and not actually pulling up any of the dead skin?? They push a higher priced spa pedicure with all these bells and whistles. When you don't take it, they give you the bare minimum pedicure. I paid $5 for callous remover which consisted of 10 seconds of rubbing some metal thing over the bottom of my feet with some kind of "callous remover" gel. The bottom of my feet feel the same. My husband concurs. All of this wouldn't have been half bad, but then we get to the gel manicure. The woman kept screaming out the price to me. $20! You hear? $20! I replied: Miss, I saw the sign on the window when I came in. I'm aware of the price. --Here's what it consists of: Filing your natural nails with a square, hard nail file that they use for acrylic nails. The grain on the file is hard and rough. She was filing my nails roughly and quickly, as if she didn't want to do them. This resulted in over-filed, uneven nails. I didn't upload a picture because I'm too embarrassed. Then, after filing them roughly and sloppily, she wanted to use that machine they use to file the nails down when you have acrylic nails. Why do you need to use this machine for my natural nails?? At this point my nail beds were filed so low, rough, and raw from just the nail file that I declined using the machine. After which, she used the cuticle nipper on my still DRY hands to cut my cuticles. I found this bizarre and asked why they don't moisten the cuticles before they cut them first? She replied they don't do that for gel manicures. Next, after buffing my filed down nail beds she never uses a gel primer before applying the gel base coat. She applies the gel base coat roughly and quickly. Sloppily polishes my nails with the gel polish, and kept pulling my hands towards her as if she wanted my arms to magically appear longer. At this point I'm ready to walk out. I'm visibly upset. But I let her finish. My husband had already finished and was napping in a corner waiting for me. He saw nothing. After she polished my nails, roughly cleaned them with the acetone, she called herself moisturizing my hands and punching them roughly afterwards. All the women next to me were enjoying nice, meticulous service. I get the rough-shod rush treatment. Believe it or not I still tipped her 20%. In my mind I kept saying I won't tip, I won't tip. But I did anyway because that's the kind of person I am. The thing is, I didn't appreciate the way she handled me and did my nails. Maybe someone else would have been better or treated me better. Who knows? I just know I won't ever go back. My husband and I spent $81 plus tip in this establishment and won't ever go back again. It's just not worth it. When you pay for a service you should get good service. read more

The place was pretty crappy and dirty despite the large staff and the person who manages the place didn't kept taking new walk ins after hours which doesn't do much for the energy in the place. I did see employees talking on cell phones while working on clients which would have really upset me. But Amy was great. read more
