I went to the Weis Market in Bel Air today. Went to the Deli, and saw 4 employees, all working at the slicing machines, so, I assumed they were filling orders on line, since I was the only person standing there. I waited about 8 minutes without anyone even looking up or acknowledging me. So, I finally asked if there was anyone serving customers. One of the workers just looked up and said "No". I was a little shocked at his rudeness..then he said "the deli is shut down for cleaning the machines'. So, I said I would do some shopping and come back, which I did. But, here's my complaint..why didn't they put a sign up to let people know that they weren't helping customers, due to cleaning. Wouldn't that have been nice? Instead of just ignoring me..they could have said "Sorry, can you come back, we're in the middle of cleaning"? Such a simple thing, and yet no one bothered. read more

Note to Amanda: First, your response is the same for anyone that gives a poor review, which is sad. It's as if you just copied and pasted the same message over and over again, making it very impersonal. Second, no thanks for I already registered the complaint and as I told Crystal (new manager at Weis' Bel Air location), I was a 30-year, gold card member, but no longer. I haven't patronized any Weis in months, and I don't intend to ever again! My complaint was not taken seriously, for Crystal just offered a $25 Weis food card, which was insulting, for I was cheated multiple times for more than double that, and the customer service department should NEVER treat any customer with such disrespect, and any manager of any type should not condone it, which I believe occurred. read more

Brown produce, RUDE deli workers, expired dairy on the shelves, 1 cranky but barely-human cashier, 6 glitchy self scanners. I'm SOOOO done with this place. For now on I'll just go to Aldi for staples and Target if I need specific brand items. Too bad for them. I believe I spent $13k there last year. Big family. I would have liked to give 5 stars. I just started shopping here, and I really liked it. It's not cramped, like many grocery stores, and everything looks clean and neat. The produce selection is very nice, full of lovely looking fruits and vegetables. But yesterday, I ordered over $300 in groceries, to be delivered. I received less than a third of what I ordered. I didn't order anything unusual, and I had allowed for substitution of all items, so I was surprised. I called the store and asked what had gone wrong. I spoke with a very nice young man, who put me on hold while he looked into it. I'm not sure why, but several minutes later, the manager, Darnell, picked up. He was very abrupt, and told me that the store was out of the items I had ordered. I tried to explain to him that more than 2/3 of my order was then out of stock...things like iceberg lettuce, zucchini, onions and peppers, donuts, hot dogs, steaks, coleslaw greens and dressing, pork sausage. Nothing unusual. When I said that I thought it odd for the store to be out of so many staple items, Darnell dug in his heals, insisting they had. More than that though, it was the way he spoke down to me and obviously told me things that were not true. And 4eally, if the store really did run out of so many items, what does that say about the manager? Nothing good. I'm really disappointed. I really liked this store. Back to Wegmans, I guess. I've lived here for a little over a year now I've shopped all of the local markets big and small and I have to say I really like Weis. It's clean that they have a very good selection everything seems very fresh the staff is very helpful and their prices are amazingly good. I have a lot of gourmet items specialty spices and a lot of good things. It's obviously not one of the most popular markets around because it's always very uncrowded which is a benefit for anyone shopping there. I highly recommend it. read more

I recently started shopping at this store due to COVID making my closest stores (Giant and Wegmans) barren and filled to the brim with lines! Weis has been a saving grace. Perhaps because it is slightly tucked out of the way, it feels like a hidden gem to me. They are ALWAYS stocked, especially with the items the other stores are lacking (paper products, bread, baking ingredients, meat, etc.). Not only that, but their produce and meat have been so fresh and fantastic. Their grass-fed beef is such an amazing price, I only wish there wasn't a limit of 2 for fresh beef right now! Everyone working in the store is very friendly and kind. The store is so clean and organized and if I ever look like a lost puppy trying to find something, someone is always happy to help. Just a nightmare. I ordered food for pick-up a month in advance. They screwed it up in their system, requiring that they re-run everything, re-bill, and then refund the original order. The re-run order was completely incorrect. This kinda stuff isn't hard - it's embarrassing how poorly it was handled. read more

PIZZA Review is for pizza only. It was $6 on Friday. Better than most pizzerias and as good as anything in Harford County. I'm not sure how they can churn out a quality product in an area that's as big as a Volkswagen Beetle but it works. read more

I was here today in line where a very very wide women was the cashier. When it was my turn she did not say a word,I said hi ,nothing. She gives me the total.I paid ,no thank you,no nothing...oh wait she yelled to another cashier I want to get a kindle. Bel Air store very convenient, clean, wide aisles. They have frequent sales. Meat and produce very good. I have begun shopping there more often because it is a large store, not crowded and plenty of cashiers. If you want to use your own bags, you have to bag your groceries yourself. We love Weis! They always have great specials on things most stores don't...like fruits and vegetables. Their buy 1 get 1 free deals are a huge money saver and they double coupons up to .99 cents. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that sometimes they won't have newer products right away. But other than that, we love it. read more

The bakery at this location made my daughter a beautiful cake for her birthday I was very impressed. Paid a fraction of the cost. Everyone thought it was from some high end bakery. Great customer service every time I go. read more

For years I have come to this store on occasion and always leave impressed that they make the most with what they have against a formidable market. In the time I have lived in Bel Air, half a dozen grocery stores have come and gone on this corridor but this Weis hangs in there. Why? The people, they work hard, the strive to make customers happy. They cater to the elderly, the poor working class families of Bel Air, the cost and price conscious families. They clean their store, they sweep the front, the stock the cabinets, they seek to make it as nice as possible. Could I go elsewhere and have 2000 cheese selections from around the world? Sure, but I'd pay 25% more and just be another cashier ring for the day. At Weis I feel I am contributing to the community and they contribute to us! read more

This location is open 24 hours a day and is around the corner from my mothers. The store is clean and they have all your major products. Went in on a late night to pick up some spices and meat for Christmas eve dinner. No real complaints here, its a normal grocery store. read more

I stopped going there after a couple of very rude encounters but then decided to give them another chance. So far so good. The store is pretty conveniently located and the hours make it Even better, but don't expect to find too many good deals. Compared to Safeway who I used to think was high-priced, Weis is definitely more expensive and you don't get the quality you get at Safeway. The Weis meat department is good, but the Safeway meat department has much better quality with is reasonably priced/great sales. Weis is almost double their price. One thing I can say for sure, the Weis deli provides an excellent variety and quality, and the more mature gentleman that works there on a regular basis is very customer service oriented and his recommendations have always been right on. Their deli is worth going there for - that is, if you don't get waited on by the very immature girl that replied "I don't eat that stuff" in a very snarky manner after asking her for a recommendation. It was such a turn off, that I left. Didn't make a deli purchase that night. Also, you have to watch the younger cashiers (not all of them) when they bag your groceries. They're very careless and cause damage to your food. I had to re-bag my food in the parking lot before putting it into my car. Weis should take the time to properly train them. Food is expensive enough without having to worry about it being smashed, thrown around and damaged in the checkout lane. The more mature Weise cashiers don't damage or smash your food. read more
