Let me tell you as soon as I stepped inside this marker I knew that I was in for a treat. The appearance and cleanliness of the store sold me right away. Yes the did have the coconut cult in stock. They had some other items on sale at the time so I gave them a try as well. The bacon and wings happened to be b1g1 free. I couldn't pass it up, as well as a crab cake and also some shrimp. This was an exciting shopping experience. This was my 1st time but, definitely won't be my last.

Any corrective conversation should be handled privately and respectfully. When I later expressed my concern regarding this behavior to the Store Director, Vikki Eiswert, I was told to leave the store after stating that I felt her approach toward the employee was rude. Rather than engaging in a professional discussion, she stated she would not argue, removed items from my hands, and proceeded to contact law enforcement. At no point was I aggressive or causing a disturbance; the only issue was that I voiced my concern about her conduct. I will not be shopping at this location again, and I intend to ensure that this experience is brought to the attention of the appropriate parties. No one--whether a manager or a store associate--should be spoken to in a belittling or disrespectful manner. The employee involved was not at fault, and being in a leadership position does not justify speaking to employees in an unprofessional way. While being asked to leave the store is not my primary concern, I will continue to share my experience until it reaches the appropriate level of review.

I made a suggestion to an employee, but he said people are going to do what they going to do. So as a warning I would avoid get pastries unless you like your baked goods covered in germs. This Lidl has a large free parking lot and offers both small and large carts. And you don't need to scramble for a quarter to release the cart-- these are free floaters. Another reason we like to come to the Lidl on Bel Air Road in Nottingham is to look at and sometimes buy flowers and plants-- they really have a nicer selection of flowers and plants for a grocery store. And perhaps the best part of Lidl is their fresh bakery. We have to buy pretzel rolls and jelly-filled doughnuts aka Berliners. The baked goods are always so fresh at this Lidl. Thanks, Lidl, we will be back.
