I came to Weights + Measures with a friend. She has been here before and she was bragging about this place. The restaurant is so pretty. I just wish there are more parking spots during lunchtime. I love the dining room. It's so open and bright. We were seated far back from the entrance. It was very crowded. I didn't want to be late to work. So, I ordered something quick. Just a croissant sandwich. I ate it so fast and didn't remember what was in there. It was very delicious. On my way out, I bought some more croissants from the Love Croissants Bakery.
Everytime I come here the food is so fresh. It was my first time getting the cheese sticks and the pull was nice. The cheese sticks had a nice glaze, which brought extra flavor
This is one of my favorite brunch spots! The interior is so sophisticated and elevated with lots of plants, wood decor, and fun lighting. The servers are also super kind and enthusiastic! My favorite brunch item is the pork belly arepa Benedict - one of the best Benedict's I've ever had! The hollandaise sauce seeps into the soft biscuit, which when combined with the egg's runny yolk and thick slab of pork belly makes for an absolutely delicious bite. The chicken and French toast was also amazing. The chicken is flavorful and juicy. My only qualm was that the French toast crust was a bit rougher than I expected. But when combined with the syrup and fried chicken, each bite was super balanced and delicious. The Yucatán tostada was also delicious, which my friend ordered. The portion was also huge! Overall, I love Weights + Measures and will certainly be back!
It was mostly all good. The inside is cool. Nice vibe and decor. The waiter was nice. Sometimes took awhile to get his attention when we were 1 of 2 tables in there on a week night, but he was nice. The food was ok. The sandwich was good. The mozzarella sticks were too breaded and not cheesy. The radiator pasta with meat sauce was pretty good. Pasta was cooked well.
With a name like Weights & Measures, you could easily assume the restaurant is on the fancy side of things. That was my exact thought a few days ago when my friends suggested we do a late lunch/early dinner here. While I was only vaguely familiar with W&M, my expectations immediately took a leap as we pulled into the parking lot. The exterior was impressively modern, looking as though the place had opened just a few years ago. Going inside, I had a feeling my inaugural visit was going to be unforgettable. The interior perfectly combines the vibe of a chic European bakery (it does house one!), a swank New York Michelin-star restaurant, and an exclusive hotel bar. The dining area was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon, but we were quickly seated and tended to. For my first W&M order, I chose the very interesting H-Town Chorizo Carbonara. Our waitress kindly explained that because of its Tex-Mex flavors, it might have a spicy kick, to which I enthusiastically said I was ready to try. The dish would arrive about ten minutes later, topped by a fried egg yolk. Having never tried carbonara, I was incredibly eager to dig in. The well-coordinated interaction of the meat, cheese, egg, sauce, and pasta immediately pleased my palate. And the waitress was right: the dish packed a definite spicy punch! My only wish is that it had been a bit bigger, because it was so amazingly tasty. While browsing the menu, I caught a glimpse of the brunch offerings. One dish instantly grabbed my attention: the French Toast and Fried Chicken. Although brunch hours were over, I immediately knew it was something to come back for. Having had a great experience with chicken and waffles before (shoutout to Breakfast Klub!), I have high hopes for it. There were plenty of other dishes that sounded like they deserved a shot as well. Given that W&M is seemingly marketed as the ideal brunch spot, I'll definitely be back to give it a try some late morning in the future.
Great place for brunch. This is my 3rd time and I always get the cracked egg pizza. So many other items on the menu that are intriguing as well. It has a cool relaxed vibe, little noisy, but not in a bad way. Open kitchen is always a nice touch. I usually eat at the bar and the service is fast and friendly. Ask for their recommendations. You can't miss!
Stopped in for quick bite to eat with a few of my favorite people. Totally enjoyed my lox breakfast. Service was amazing, as they quickly assisted me with accessible seating. The ambiance was refreshing with an open feel. The smell of fresh baked bread was definitely enticing! There is a bakery on site to pick up freshly baked items, or to sit and enjoy a croissant and latte. Next trip I plan to try their pizza. It looked really good. The menu isn't a standard one, it offers a more upscale experience. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food.
I feel like this place is pretty consistent in service, food quality, and tastiness. They have a parking lot. The dining area is always neat. The chai latte was extra extra hot for 10 mins. I ordered the midtown continental sunrise with scrambled eggs. I ate it all! Bonus is that Love Croissants shares some space with them.
We went for brunch and it was very good. Parking wasn't a problem and we were seated immediately despite not having reservations. The interior is nicely decorated in a mix of elegance and industrial. Service was pretty good despite them having some large event in the private room. The menu offers a lot of choices including several for the semi- vegetarian in our group. All of the dishes were we ordered were excellent.
Excellent experience from start to finish! The food was amazing, especially the steak and eggs, which I highly recommend. They also have croissants from Love Croissant right next door, so you can grab one to go with your meal -- it was delicious. Customer service was great, super attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place, I'll definitely be back
This is a cute restaurant and I love the ambiance! Went here on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty slow but the service was great. I loved the portion sizes that came with the food, I had the breakfast tacos which were delicious. I do which there were more options on the menu, which is the reasoning for my 4/5 rating. I would definitely come back! Parking was easy! I didn't get a picture of my food but I got one of my yummy s'mores latte!
It shares a door with 'love croissants' which threw me off for a second but when you walk in through the restaurant doors there's a lot of tables and a nice decorated space. I came with some friends for brunch on a Saturday around 11:45. We all were able to find a parking spot in the lot and get seated quickly. Our server was very attentive and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. There were a lot of yummy options for brunch. We got an espresso martini, an iced tiramisu latte, and a hot latte. The drinks were delicious! For food we ordered the arepas, pupusas, and the midtown continental. I ordered my eggs over medium but they were actually really runny. So I was bummed about that but everything else was fine and tasted good. Would come back!
W+M used to be a a solid place to get a last minute reservation with some solid food. I went last night and only one person at dinner enjoyed what they ordered. I ordered the birria pizza add jalapeños and I kid you not it must have had 3 lbs of cheese on it. Jalapeños were forgotten despite the restaurant being basically empty. It feels like basically everything is the same with the new ownership except the quality of the food. So if you're looking for over priced experience with lack luster food drop in to W+M while it's till open. Once we were waited on I will say our server was good and attentive. Got me some jalapeños after the fact and came by the right amount. Just wished to food was back to its original quality.

First time at Weights + Measures, and the experience did not disappoint! Started out with a passionfruit mimosa, which was PERFECT and one of their specialty coffee drinks (the coconutz), also super unique and delicious! They even had a Coco Puffs iced latté. We tried the cheese stick appetizer to start , which was a little overpriced but SO good (honestly, can't go wrong with fried dough and melted cheese), but the cilantro sauce was tangy and fresh! For my main, I got the pork belly arepa Benedict with a side of potatoes. The Benedict was SO good-- the pork belly was tender, and the chipotle hollandaise added a nice smokiness. A unique and delicious dish! Would definitely come back to try one of their breakfast croissant sandwiches, which also looked amazing. The service was friendly, and about as fast as expected for how large our party was and how busy it was. Only downside was that it was a little overpriced, but pretty standard with your regular semi-classy brunch spot. Overall, a solid brunch spot! read more

We had a late brunch with a couple of friend in this place for the first time. For starters we ordered their Fabius carrot pizza which was a delight. We also had a slice of their delicious carrot cake before the main dish. For drinks, we tried a few of their cocktails all of which were perfectly made for brunch and quite refreshing, and most importantly not too sweet. As the mai items we ordered avocado toast and steak and eggs. Both dishes were great, specially the avocado toast. The steak was slightly fattier less cooked than we like, but overall pretty good. The service was nice and we had a caring and friendly server, so a great experience overall. I am sure this place will become INE of our regular go-to places and I strongly recommend it. read more

We had a lovely dinner on a Saturday night. No reservation needed and were seated promptly. We had the seared salmon over red rice and it was spectacular. We also tried the Spanish octopus and baked oysters and they were delicious. Our server was new but she was very sweet and helpful. Enjoyed a fantastic bottle of Chardonnay that is our new favorite. Oh and the G&T is beautiful! I accidentally left my phone in the bathroom. Came back 20 minutes later and the hostess had found it and saved it for me. Overall wonderful experience! read more

Solid 3-stars from both food and service. The restaurant is located in an area without much else around but luckily that means street parking is pretty easy if you choose not to use the complimentary valet. 1. Lucky charms latte: cute concept that's been done before but this tasted like burnt drip coffee. I think the marshmallows were the only cereal-related thing added. 2. Bloody mary: strangely creamy color most likely from a greater amount of horseradish. Personally, I didn't enjoy this because it didn't have enough tomato flavor, but the boyfriend loved it. 3. Salmon cake benedict: on their daily special menu for brunch and pretty tasty overall. Salmon cakes instead of regular or smoked salmon is a fun twist. When I popped the poached eggs though, a ton of water came out before the yolk did. 4. Morning cracked egg pizza: HUGE portion - 1.5 slices per person seems about right. 5. Cake donuts + fried chicken: looked good and tasted good, but value and quality-wise, you really can't compete with Breakfast Klub next door. read more
Houston Restaurant Week (HRW) Review. I love houston restaurant week for the great value on an entire three or four course dinner with also of course the donating a portion of profit to the houston food bank for meals. It's also a great time to try new restaurants you didn't think to try before. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed in the entirety of this four course menu. It showcased not much of the true menu that the restaurant offers and did specific things for HRW menu so there were things lacking. The serving sizes left something to be desired although it was 4 courses. The zucchini soup and salmon tartare were great as well as the gnocchi but definitely left me wanting more. The entrees we got were the pasta dish and the steak. My husband enjoyed it overall but he said it just wasn't the best/highest quality steak he's had. Pretty average. The mussels we ordered from the normal menu (since we still wanted more food) were great actually and very big! The creme brûlée was better from the chocolate cake (normal tasting tbh. Nothing special). Overall the food just didn't wow me or wasn't special. I also ordered a gin and tonic from their drink menu and the tonic they used was quite bitter. Not the best G+T I've had for sure... the waiter we had was fine. It's really just not a spectacular food option. Things were hit or miss/nothing special. read more

Came in for a late lunch on a week day. Service was weak for how slow it was in my opinion. My w+m margarita was really good! My friend had to get an extra shot added in his because he could not taste the alcohol though. Food was ok but we found it to be pricey for what it was. The place itself is decorated nicely and the environment is nice but I will probably not go back. read more

Cute restaurant great service. This cute little spot is located in midtown. I liked it a lot. It felt classy without being overly expensive The bread was a little crisp for my liking, but who needs carbs anyway. It was a great place to have a light lunch. We sat on the patio. The indoor dining area was really nice. It had that high end hotel look. Okay so the door is on the opposite side of the patio. When you come in the door there's a bakery I think. And the restrooms are also there. I would return. I've been wanting to try that pizza that has the carrots on it. So we'll see. The server was very please as well. read more

Overall, everything was good. We made reservations and they sat us right away. Music was a bit loud, it was hard to hear across the table. Service was good, no complaints. When it comes to the food, the Salmon I had was tasty, good combination of food like a everything bagel. I could've done without the egg, it took away from the overall taste of the food. The bread it was served on was super hard and took some elbow grease with the knife. Same with the Pork Belly Benedict, the arepa it was on was over cooked and tough. Everything else was on the plate was delicious. Houston Breakfast was standard, bacon was floppy, so if you like crispy bacon, make sure to ask them. I would give this place a try, but probably won't be back. Also, $14 for a virgin cocktail seems a little ridiculous. read more

Mixed experience. I went with my wife and some friends on a recent Sunday just after church, and I ordered the famed roasted carrot pizza, which was clever, creative, and tasty. My wife ordered the margherita pizza, and the kitchen totally messed it up. During the preparation they dumped the spices/seasoning that they would use on the roasted carrot pizza onto her margherita pizza. And then they plated it and the waiter served it to her. The waiter basically said, hey they screwed up your pizza , but here it is. Ummm... first, how can you plate that and serve it to the customer when you know it's wrong? And second, there was no talk about discounting or comping her pizza. Nope. We paid full price for an entree that they totally messed up. So clearly there is no quality control or managerial oversight going on. Because we were with friends we didn't want to complain or make a scene, so we just let it ride. But will we go back? Probably not. If you let that kind of stuff happen, no telling what else goes on. read more
Brunch with my LS (line sister) is always the best! This was our first time at weights + measures and I must say their menu items are very eclectic. The roasted carrot pizza was definitely something different for me but I really enjoyed the texture/consistency of the toppings together. The carrot was overly roasted to where it was mushy or soft. It was just right. Every bite had a crunch to it, which for me I appreciated. For dessert I had the bread pudding w/ side of 12yr aged port wine. If you are not a sweet tooth type of person I Lu would not recommend having these two together. Very very sweet, but if you want to indulge in some good sweetness then I definitely recommend the two together. My LS had the chicken and French toast dish. She reports that the chicken wasn't tried too hard (meaning that it was very flaky) and the grease used didn't taste old (we all know what old grease taste like). Overall all, I definitely recommend this establishment. read more

Shout out to Manager Cody. He was incredibly professional in everything. Everything else at Weights + Measures was...disappointing. The service, the food, the ambiance, all. Mediocre. I would not be surprised if food poisoning is the resulting factor of a night out. Beware of anything with shrimp. Watch out for stray hairs. Be prepared for piss-pour services. The desserts aren't too shabby, BUT watch out for HAIR. read more

I really enjoyed Weights and Measures brunch. We ordered the Darth Vader drink which contains vodka, pineapple, coconut, and activated charcoal. It was so good I could have ordered 2 more. for our meals, we had Chilaquiles which were the best I have ever had. They are made with stacked tostadas, shredded short rib meat, black beans, queso fresco, and an egg on top. Absolutely delicious. My fiance even loved my dish so much she wanted to order the same for herself even though she already had another dish. She ordered the Americano which was a croissant sandwich with bacon, egg, tomato, watercress, and cheddar cheese. She loved it. We tasted the doughknots which come sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with maple syrup. They were amazing. This is definitely going on our brunch rotation list. read more
Came here for brunch this past Sunday and was able to make a reservation on Open table easily. Our family arrived promptly and our table was ready for us, love to see that when you make a reservation. We sat down and had a lovely server who was attentive and told us about the specials. She recommended a few new drinks that were on the special for the month, so we tried the flight of four roses and it did not disappoint! The ice cubes were in these cute shaped roses, so beautiful! read more
One of our favorite happy hours in town. Offered everyday, includes drinks and food. I've enjoyed great drinks, oysters, small bites and pizza off their happy hour menu. Have never had such a unique and delicious pizza like their carrot pizza-- worth a try! Service has always been great. Their main menu looks amazing as well with a variety of veg and non veg options to choose from. They also have a bakery attached in the front. Plenty of parking and a large open space inside. The weekend's basically here...and you and I, both, are already looking forward to what to do (b/c capitalism lol)! If you don't have plans, then keep Weights + Measures in mind...where the only thing that should be weighed or measured is the food and not you! I feel like everyone has been to this Midtown staple spot, besides me...we went there planning to try out the HRW 2021 menu, but it was Brunch at the time which we couldn't pass up! The FOODS: * Brioche French Toast + Fried Chicken * Chilaquiles * Croque Madam * Doughknots with Pistachio Ice Cream The Dranks: * Pimm's Cup (The fam got not I) Yay: The Chilaquiles with the braised shortribs were and the fried chicken was very juicy! I think the chicken could use a bit more spice (says the brown girl lol) and French toast could've been a little better, but honestly I was so hungry and happy that I ate it all and went jean shopping after and bought a pair that is too loose now without a food baby LOL! I've also heard GREAT things about their pizzas (cracked egg pizza next time) ! Nay: The Doughknots were more pretzel than doughnuts and we were told Butter Pecan ice cream not pistachio. Roman, our waiter, was excellent. He was polite, made great suggestions, gave us just the right amount of time, chatted with us about Italy, kept our glasses full, and our table clean. The food was excellent, the atmosphere trendy and hip, the beer and wine lists were current and reasonably priced. We had hummus first complete with a spicy olive dip followed by two different pizzas. Both pizzas were very good. The carrot pizza and pepperoni pizza. Delicious. read more
I came here when restaurants were open. I was told great things about it so I had to check it out. It was around brunch time and I was craving breakfast. I got the french toast with chicken. It came with powered sugar on the top and a side of potatoes. I didn't mind the powered sugar on it but I did get it all over me. The chicken pieces were big and thick. I was only able to finish half of this and took the rest home for later. The french toast was delicious! I also had a mimosa because I love those! The first one I had was a bit watered down but the second one I had tasted better. Customer service was good but got slower the busier the restaurant got. When I visit next time, I want to try the carrot pizza. Everyone I've spoken to that has had it, seems to really like it so I'll be trying that next. read more
My friend and I decided on Weight + Measures out of the abundant list of restaurants participating in Houston Restaurant Week (shoutout to giving back). We decided to dine at 7:30 on Monday evening. The dining room half full and the hostess tucked us in a back corner, which I always prefer. The kitchen has a semi-open concept, so you can peer over to see some of the dishes being prepared. We were so excited for the wood grilled octopus that we both ordered our own. It did not disappoint. The sauce was delicious and the accompanying bread was fresh. My friend had the avocado salad and I had the wheatberry salad. The avocado salad's cheese was served in long strips and were not very flavorful. The wheatberry salad was great with lentils and pomegranate seeds. Even my server told me I had made the right choice. I chose the handcut fettuccini with shrimp while my friend enjoyed the duck. The duck was pretty chewy, but the flavors were really wonderful. My pasta was fresh, creamy and well prepared. For dessert we opted for the profiterole and the German chocolate flourless cake. The cake was dense and rich. We decided to take it home with us and it was even better at 1am. The profiterole pastry was done well with a espresso ganache. I would've loved to enjoy it with a cup of coffee in hindsight, but we were so full. Overall, I would come here again for a casual weeknight meal in the future. read more

The service at the door was excellent! The wait staff were very nice and accommodating, came to check on us frequently, unfortunately did not offer to refill our drinks. We ordered from the specials menu, I had the macaroni & chicken bowl with bacon jam, and my wife had the catfish sandwich with zucchini fries. We both had Arnold Palmers for our drinks. The mac & cheese bowl was creamy, but unseasoned. The chicken was tender but unseasoned. The catfish tasted like it was fried in chicken grease and was not crispy, even though my wife ordered it to be cooked extra crispy. The arnold palmers were bitter and unsweetened. Everything we ordered required additional doctoring with either salt, pepper and/or sugar, but it didnt help too much. Overall, I think the specials were a miss, but I'm not opposed to trying this restaurant again, I'd just try something from the regular menu. read more

A friend and I popped in here for happy hour, and were pleasantly surprised. We decided to stop by because it was the only place where happy hour started early at 3 PM. The selection of food was good and reasonably priced, and the vibe was nice. The ribeye meatballs were well seasoned, tasty, and larger than expected. They were only a dollar each, which is a steal. I probably didn't even need that many. The corn and zucchini fritters were really tasty, slightly crunchy, slightly sweet, slightly savory. When they came out, I was shocked because they did not look how I expected, but they tasted better. I would definitely come back to try some other light bites and drinks. read more

I randomly popped into this place to check it out, with no expectations...I was overwhelmed with satisfaction. It was a weekday evening, chill atmosphere, not crowded. I am a bar fly, so I sat at the bartop, the bartender Juan was full energy & knowledge on items to recommend. The drinks were fantastic and the food items were served in very generous portion sizes. I didnt have room for desert, but since there is also a bakery attached to the restaurant....I went home with a loaf of ciabatta bread. read more

We sat at the bar to have brunch because there is no available outside seating. Very friendly bartender, good menu options, and the food was standard. I would say it fell a little short, actually. I ordered French toast and fries chicken - I thought the chicken was over fried and not that much meat on the bones, but it was OK. There were a lot of people in there, which is an indicator that it's well liked at least. read more

How is parking?
Hello! Parking is super easy. We have our own lot and street parking. During the week, we have complimentary valet service at Lunch.
I see online that they have Black Hole Cold Brew Coffee on tap for brunch. Is it still available during other hours of operation? Been trying to find somewhere with coffe on nitro. Thanks in advance!
Not sure about this place, but Snooze on Montrose and Westheimer has Black Hole's cold brew on nitro
