I came to Weights + Measures with a friend. She has been here before and she was bragging about this place. The restaurant is so pretty. I just wish there are more parking spots during lunchtime. I love the dining room. It's so open and bright. We were seated far back from the entrance. It was very crowded. I didn't want to be late to work. So, I ordered something quick. Just a croissant sandwich. I ate it so fast and didn't remember what was in there. It was very delicious. On my way out, I bought some more croissants from the Love Croissants Bakery.
Everytime I come here the food is so fresh. It was my first time getting the cheese sticks and the pull was nice. The cheese sticks had a nice glaze, which brought extra flavor
This is one of my favorite brunch spots! The interior is so sophisticated and elevated with lots of plants, wood decor, and fun lighting. The servers are also super kind and enthusiastic! My favorite brunch item is the pork belly arepa Benedict - one of the best Benedict's I've ever had! The hollandaise sauce seeps into the soft biscuit, which when combined with the egg's runny yolk and thick slab of pork belly makes for an absolutely delicious bite. The chicken and French toast was also amazing. The chicken is flavorful and juicy. My only qualm was that the French toast crust was a bit rougher than I expected. But when combined with the syrup and fried chicken, each bite was super balanced and delicious. The Yucatán tostada was also delicious, which my friend ordered. The portion was also huge! Overall, I love Weights + Measures and will certainly be back!
It was mostly all good. The inside is cool. Nice vibe and decor. The waiter was nice. Sometimes took awhile to get his attention when we were 1 of 2 tables in there on a week night, but he was nice. The food was ok. The sandwich was good. The mozzarella sticks were too breaded and not cheesy. The radiator pasta with meat sauce was pretty good. Pasta was cooked well.
With a name like Weights & Measures, you could easily assume the restaurant is on the fancy side of things. That was my exact thought a few days ago when my friends suggested we do a late lunch/early dinner here. While I was only vaguely familiar with W&M, my expectations immediately took a leap as we pulled into the parking lot. The exterior was impressively modern, looking as though the place had opened just a few years ago. Going inside, I had a feeling my inaugural visit was going to be unforgettable. The interior perfectly combines the vibe of a chic European bakery (it does house one!), a swank New York Michelin-star restaurant, and an exclusive hotel bar. The dining area was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon, but we were quickly seated and tended to. For my first W&M order, I chose the very interesting H-Town Chorizo Carbonara. Our waitress kindly explained that because of its Tex-Mex flavors, it might have a spicy kick, to which I enthusiastically said I was ready to try. The dish would arrive about ten minutes later, topped by a fried egg yolk. Having never tried carbonara, I was incredibly eager to dig in. The well-coordinated interaction of the meat, cheese, egg, sauce, and pasta immediately pleased my palate. And the waitress was right: the dish packed a definite spicy punch! My only wish is that it had been a bit bigger, because it was so amazingly tasty. While browsing the menu, I caught a glimpse of the brunch offerings. One dish instantly grabbed my attention: the French Toast and Fried Chicken. Although brunch hours were over, I immediately knew it was something to come back for. Having had a great experience with chicken and waffles before (shoutout to Breakfast Klub!), I have high hopes for it. There were plenty of other dishes that sounded like they deserved a shot as well. Given that W&M is seemingly marketed as the ideal brunch spot, I'll definitely be back to give it a try some late morning in the future.
Great place for brunch. This is my 3rd time and I always get the cracked egg pizza. So many other items on the menu that are intriguing as well. It has a cool relaxed vibe, little noisy, but not in a bad way. Open kitchen is always a nice touch. I usually eat at the bar and the service is fast and friendly. Ask for their recommendations. You can't miss!
Stopped in for quick bite to eat with a few of my favorite people. Totally enjoyed my lox breakfast. Service was amazing, as they quickly assisted me with accessible seating. The ambiance was refreshing with an open feel. The smell of fresh baked bread was definitely enticing! There is a bakery on site to pick up freshly baked items, or to sit and enjoy a croissant and latte. Next trip I plan to try their pizza. It looked really good. The menu isn't a standard one, it offers a more upscale experience. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food.
I feel like this place is pretty consistent in service, food quality, and tastiness. They have a parking lot. The dining area is always neat. The chai latte was extra extra hot for 10 mins. I ordered the midtown continental sunrise with scrambled eggs. I ate it all! Bonus is that Love Croissants shares some space with them.
We went for brunch and it was very good. Parking wasn't a problem and we were seated immediately despite not having reservations. The interior is nicely decorated in a mix of elegance and industrial. Service was pretty good despite them having some large event in the private room. The menu offers a lot of choices including several for the semi- vegetarian in our group. All of the dishes were we ordered were excellent.
Excellent experience from start to finish! The food was amazing, especially the steak and eggs, which I highly recommend. They also have croissants from Love Croissant right next door, so you can grab one to go with your meal -- it was delicious. Customer service was great, super attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place, I'll definitely be back
This is a cute restaurant and I love the ambiance! Went here on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty slow but the service was great. I loved the portion sizes that came with the food, I had the breakfast tacos which were delicious. I do which there were more options on the menu, which is the reasoning for my 4/5 rating. I would definitely come back! Parking was easy! I didn't get a picture of my food but I got one of my yummy s'mores latte!
It shares a door with 'love croissants' which threw me off for a second but when you walk in through the restaurant doors there's a lot of tables and a nice decorated space. I came with some friends for brunch on a Saturday around 11:45. We all were able to find a parking spot in the lot and get seated quickly. Our server was very attentive and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. There were a lot of yummy options for brunch. We got an espresso martini, an iced tiramisu latte, and a hot latte. The drinks were delicious! For food we ordered the arepas, pupusas, and the midtown continental. I ordered my eggs over medium but they were actually really runny. So I was bummed about that but everything else was fine and tasted good. Would come back!
W+M used to be a a solid place to get a last minute reservation with some solid food. I went last night and only one person at dinner enjoyed what they ordered. I ordered the birria pizza add jalapeños and I kid you not it must have had 3 lbs of cheese on it. Jalapeños were forgotten despite the restaurant being basically empty. It feels like basically everything is the same with the new ownership except the quality of the food. So if you're looking for over priced experience with lack luster food drop in to W+M while it's till open. Once we were waited on I will say our server was good and attentive. Got me some jalapeños after the fact and came by the right amount. Just wished to food was back to its original quality.
My dad unexpectedly took my sister and I here one day while in the area. I really enjoyed my pizza though it felt like they didn't put enough sauce/toppings (the crust needn't be that wide/thick). The menu is small, but the 3 things we ordered were yummy. read more
I havent been back in awhile bc every time last year (2023) I show up for breakfast around 8am, the doors were locked. Today they're open at 8am. It looks like they changed things up. The restaurant is not open for breakfast but the cafe /pastry side is open and focuses on croissants with less coffee options. Prices are steep but the croissants are delicious. It's not something someone on a budget or diet can go daily. read more
Food was delicious but I wouldn't pay $15 for a ONE tequeño again. My favorite item was the dough-knot (dessert). Make sure to eat them while they are hot. The pasión fruit mimosa was amazing. Service was good and quick. I will be back to try more items. read more
On Yesterday', A group of my fitness buddies had our 3rd Annual Secret Santa Brunch at Weights & Measures! Since, it was a new spot for me I wasn't sure what to order. But, our waiters were very helpful about what was on their menu to make my decision easier on what to eat. Also, everything was made fresh when our food arrived. The ambiance was very inviting and felt like we were eating at a little cute French cafe. This place is nice for friends and family to come out and have a wonderful time!!! read more

Checked this place out for brunch! Super cute spot. They have a bakery when you initially walking on a assorted variety. Then there is general dining area. There aren't any dedicated vegetarian or vegan options but you can build a plate, which is what I did! The sautéed spinach was fire! Perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately the pancakes were just mid. They were not hot when they came out. Breakfast potatoes were really good though. I ordered the tiramsu latte and they do have oatmilk for those that avoid the dairy like me! Overall this place is a solid brunch option! I would come back! read more
Another lovely adventure with the Pretty Girls Brunch group. As soon as you walk in there is a bakery fresh bread, danish and other items. I will say if you want to take advantage get there early. I waited for after brunch and it was too late a lot of items were gone. Out waiter was very helpful, there was so much on the menu I wanted to try but I could only choose 1. The waiter told me about his favorite CHILAQUILES braised shortrib + ancho chile mole + refried black beans + fried eggs + queso fresco + pico de gallo + fresh chiles + cilantro and he told me to add a avocado on the side. This was delicious, but for me it was an overload of black beans and the braised short ribs was a little fatty. That is just my personal preference. The cocktail we great hands down! We had friends in town this weekend and after a visit to MD Anderson we stopped in at W&M to enjoy a late brunch. After starting out slow with the service things turned around and the food was delicious. We started off with the Tex Queno...the Venezuelan cheese and cilantro sauce was yum! For our entrees we enjoyed the ragu bolognese, pork belly arepa benedict, Yucatán tostadas and the Caesar salad with steak everything was cooked perfectly. Seasonings and flavors were on point. We treated ourselves with a s'mores latte, capuchino and dessert (we couldn't decide so we got 4 and shared). Chocolate raviolis, bread pudding, carrot cake and the salted caramel creamaux...all 4 were tasty with the right amount of sweetness. We will definitely be back! read more
I came here with my mom and sister for Houston Restaurant Week and it was definitely a delight. I had the Salmon Tartare as a starter, Mahi Mahi for my main dish, and Crème Brûlée. All of it was SO good. My mom and sister had the Roasted Corn Soup as a starter and they both said it was delicious. My mom got the Key Lime Torte for her dessert and that was also very good. It says online that it's a Peach and Brown Sugar Torte, but they must have changed it. Either way, it was tasty! When you first walk in, they have some tables and chairs by the counter where I guess they sell some of their pastries/desserts maybe... or for take out? I don't know, but those chairs are super comfy and I need to know where they came from because I want some lol. Regardless, I look forward to coming back and having more of their food. read more
HRW MENU! first of all, I already loved it before I walked in because it's located downtown and they had their own parking lot. Like, how awesome is that. Inside was very nice and modern. Plenty of seating. Ordered the margarita and it was quite strong and great! Got the charcuterie, salmon tare tare (very refreshing and the fish was pretty fresh), ribeye (I didn't taste much truffle oil, it was seasoning fine though) and ended with the creme brûlée (creamy and delicious. Had that beautiful crisp top from the brûléeing of the sugar). Would come back and try their regular menu and bakery items/coffee! read more
My 1st time at Weights and measures but I've been seeing this place many times before. I was very surprised to see food was very good and service was impeccable. Our server Myra is earning the extra star for this review. I'm not a big fan of hanger steak at all since it's chewing and poor quality of meat to me, but this got me good. The steak was very good. (And I'm super picky on my steak) Honestly I avoid choosing the steak bcoz I'm not a fan and very picky on it so my friend ordered it and I tasted. That was how I found out how good it was. My choice was the mahi-mahi and it was equally good too. Hats down to the chef. The desserts was ok but the coffee was excellent. Love the banana foster latte . We also bought some pastries on the way out. Since it was for bkfast time so most of the pastries were gone. If y'all haven't try this place out, it's recommended. read more

Surprisingly empty for dining on a Friday night. The drinks and food were pretty good! The appetizer dish we got was the Texqueno and was much better than we were expecting!! So good!! I got the carbonara and while good it was not what I was expecting, had a bit of a spicy kick! The cocktail I got (Venezuelan passion) was delicious but my only complaint is the bar took a very long time to deliver drinks despite there be no one there. Overall very good experience though! read more

The food is exceptional here! The drinks are also pretty great. I always love an espresso martini and theirs is decent! There's not great outdoor dining but the dining room is pretty and clean. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive at first. He wasn't very good at checking on us through out the meal and we ended up waiting for our check for almost 45 minutes after the table was cleaned. We'll be back for the food and vibes! read more
Came here on a Tuesday for lunch and it wasn't packed at all. We got there right in time before the lunch rush crowd. We ordered the W+M Salads. My friend got the salad with added shrimp as protein. I decided for no protein and actually really enjoyed the salad! I love that the salad has pomegranate seeds and toasted cashews. It added the perfect touch to the salad. Stopped in for lunch and it was a good decision. It's located right down the street from Houston Community College - Central, with a surprisingly decent amount of parking. We got in just before noon and it was quiet, almost as if they weren't open, but they were. There was only one other table filled but that changed quickly after we were seated. We got there at the right time. Things I ordered: -Iced toffee nut latte. It was delicious but mostly ice :( -Corn and zucchini fritters. They were really good. Light and flavorful. Order came with four. -Braised short rib sandwich. This was a surprise for me because I was expecting a barbecue-style sammy, but there was no sauce in sight. The short rib was good and very tender. Also surprisingly juicy! I didn't miss the barbecue sauce at all! The bread was interesting but tasty. The cheese was a little much for me so I scraped some off. Came with house-made chips that were light and crunchy. Everything was really good. I'd recommend stopping in for lunch. No idea what their dinner menu looks like. They also have a bake shop up front but there wasn't anyone there and the woman working the hostess desk never looked up from her phone so I didn't feel confident that she would be helpful :( read more

We are confused at how this place is only 3.5 star???? Great for us because it wasn't that crowded but we arrived. Try the Tiramisu coffee... WOW.... Had the cheese appetizer- delicious. Roasted carrot pizza was a good as Guy said it was. The carbonara amazing.... Vibe was exactly as we love... quiet and chill. We sat at the bar and the bartender was as nice as can be... This was my second time here and it did not disappoint. Some co-workers and I did the Run in the park 19th annual race in the morning and worked up an appetite. We wanted something close by so I chose this restaurant. I was able to make reservations for 6 at 10 am with no problem through open table. When we arrived it wasn't too busy and we were able to sit right away and get some drinks going. I had a passion fruit mimosa that was really great! More champagne than juice which is how it should be. I had the steak and eggs which was also really great. The meat was cooked medium well, how I asked for it and it had lots of flavor, and came with some friend potatoes and a small salad. I ordered a side pancake and it was ok, it was a bit dry but I also did not put butter on it. I wanted to try the michelada because it's hard to find a place that makes their own mix with such perfection. This Bloody Mary/ michelada mix was more shell fish tasting, similar to Clamato, and it was good just wasn't what I'd prefer. Overall the service was great, food was great, and there was no wait or any difficulty parking. FYI they also have a bakery and make all kinds of yummy sweet breads. I did not get anything to go because I was so full but next time I'll be sure to get a danish or two for the road. read more

They definitely focus more on their drinks than food. The food was just ok but the drinks were pretty good. The sangria was very balanced & refreshing. I also had a latte with Jameson Cold Brew which was a good energy boost. The General Organa is similar to a mimosa & has a really good after taste. The French toast is prepped at the beginning of the morning then reheated which made it super hard. Just gross all around. The sausage was probably the best thing, it's house made & flavorful. Eggs were eggs, pancakes were ok, lackluster. Now, the problem came with the service. Ashley was great & her energy started out really bubbly & I loved it. However, Seth was the complete opposite. He kept snapping at us & some of the staff. He got an attitude with us a few times for asking Ashley questions or other servers. Specifically saying "you can ask me!" with pure attitude & the energy immediately shifted from upbeat to tense. The servers around stop & looked at him confused as to the attitude towards us. One even made a comment "you should see how he is in our text messages." I told him he needed to watch his tone. I'm assuming he heard me because then he started back peddling on his energy towards us. Nobody was smiling anymore & I truly hate that. Not sure I'll come back because it doesn't seem like the right environment for my personality or energy. read more

Cute little brunch spot. I got the French toast and fried chicken which is a big serving, loved that. I had plenty of leftovers. They charged for extra syrup. I've also had a brisket or roast beef sandwich from here if I'm remembering correctly that was very good. They have some kind of policy about being charged for ppl who don't show up if you make a reservation. Even if some of you come they will still charge you per person for those that don't show up which is something to keep in mind. This was my first experience with that read more

Fantastic midtown brunch spot. Came with a group of 7 for Saturday morning brunch (made a reservation). Service was excellent- Ashley took great care of us! For a drink, I got the sweet Caroline, which is a mock tail that's sweet and fruity. It's really delicious and I would definitely get it again. I ordered the roasted carrot pizza to share with my friend (Guy Fieri loved this on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives). It lives up to the hype! You can taste the orange juice from the carrots and the toppings all compliment the flavors so well. It's spicy from the chiles and so well seasoned from the dukka and soubise. The crust is also really tasty. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal as well. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes, especially for happy hour! They have their own parking lot, which is pretty big and a huge plus! They're a bakery, so you could grab a pastry on the way out- cherry danish is excellent! read more
Overall a decent brunch but nothing I would rave about. My NA drink was legit. My truffled toast was decent but not spectacular. We were happy with our drinks but not as much our food. Like it was decent enough but I don't know if I would come back. Probably should have gotten the pizza. read more
This was my third visit to Weights and Measures, they continue to bring excellent food and service! I came for a friend's bday brunch and they did a wonderful job taking care of us. The drinks are always on point as well as their menu. I will recommend this place for a weekend brunch but you're still wanting to play it safe, give WM a try. Bianca read more

Great sandwich, great service, but I wasn't a big fan of the chips. I would much prefer the chips to have more flavor... Or really any flavor. It's a good meal for the price point, there was plenty of parking when I went, and the restaurant looks nice. If they could just up the chip game or give me an option for something other than chips this place could be a five-star. read more

So glad yo have found our way back to this amazing little spot. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, and the parking was ample. We visited for dinner on Saturday evening and got there in enough time to enjoy some happy hour snacks before ordering dinner including my favorite - the carrot pizza. Mains were tasty and freshly prepared. The carrot cake was outta this world. read more
Chilaquiles was very tasty however it was the only vegetarian option and I think at this point a restaurant should have a few options rather than just one. Another annoyance: this restaurant does not allow you to split the bill. I'm not sure the reason for this but again, it's 2022 and people who arrive as a party of several individuals should be allowed to split the check to pay their amount. Splitting the total over X number of people is not fair to those who would pay less on their meal. Also, your receipt does not show the breakdown in price by line item. So you pay a total sum but does not show the amount of tax included or an added gratuity charge if one was added. Pretty annoying. In all, a nice place with a nice ambiance but unclear and outdated payment options with limited vegetarian items makes me less likely to come back. read more

How is parking?
Hello! Parking is super easy. We have our own lot and street parking. During the week, we have complimentary valet service at Lunch.
I see online that they have Black Hole Cold Brew Coffee on tap for brunch. Is it still available during other hours of operation? Been trying to find somewhere with coffe on nitro. Thanks in advance!
Not sure about this place, but Snooze on Montrose and Westheimer has Black Hole's cold brew on nitro
