Such a cool restaurant in Brooklyn for any occasion- girls night, date night or just wanting some good Chinese food on a Tuesday. For apps, we got the sweet and sour soup and the dumplings in peanut/ spicy oil. The soup portion is huge and tasted great. Dumplings are must. For mains, we got the sesame chicken and veggie lo mein, both were delicious. Great prices, friendly staff and great vibes!

The food here was not bad, but nothing amazing. The duck was a little dry and not very crispy. The pork soup dumplings were okay. The string beans were fantastic. Service was pretty good, but our waiter took a while. Inside is a very modern asian vibe, fitting for the neighborhood.

At the start of the year I always have dinner w/ my cousin and we pick a different spot each time. This time a friend joined us and I finally was able to try this spot. It's been in my bookmarks for a min. Super cute quaint spot w/ pretty good service. I was happy w/ that and we didn't get to the food yet. On the table: Veggie dumplings & spring rolls Wei favorite chicken Shrimp fried rice Beef lo mein Sautéed string beans in garlic sauce Washed it all down w/ rose and orange wine. LOVED all of it. Except the shrimp fried rice, don't eat seafood. And the lo mein was a lil bland. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. It definitely would've been 5. I will def be back to try more of their menu.

Imagine an intimate ambiance light music in the background dim lighting and delicious food. A group of us stopped in and they were so accommodating. The staff Miho and Jeff were so warm and kind! Our meals came out almost immediately and the portions were perfect for sharing. Everything we had was flavorful and fresh! We will absolutely be back !

Very nice modern vibe Chinese restaurant in Williamsburg! That was around 9pm and we were party of 10 people. Luckily got an outside tables and they were very kind and sweet. Got a bunch of different kind of meals! Everything was tasty and we enjoyed our night with their delicious cocktails. The Wei's spicy chicken was excellent! Very nice experience thank you for the amazing night xx

Wei is an upgraded Americanized Chinese restaurant playing off the nostalgia of its millennial audience. I mean when is the last time anyone saw mu shu vegetables on a menu? At the same time, the helpful translation of "small plates" into "xiaochi"tells you that the nostalgia is self-aware. I had the General Tso's tofu, because what else would I order at such an establishment. The sauce was excellent, although the tofu consisted of small chewy pieces. I'd venture that some larger chunks of tofu might better soak up all of the sauce. The traditional singular broccoli floret was a nice touch. Good vibes for a weeknight cocktail as well.

I love the ambiance in here! Such a cute little spot to pop into for either a light bite or a full dinner. They have all the traditional Chinese dishes that you love, and some really great starters too. My fave was the pork soup dumplings! We went in around dinner time on a Sunday night and were able to get a cozy booth right away. :)

My best friend and I decided to have a lil city date, so we found this restaurant on Yelp and it just spoke to us. This restaurant is pretty tiny but the vibes are elite. We loved the decor and ambiance. We decided to sit at the bar so we didn't have to wait too long for a table. We were seated pretty quick and basically asked the bar tender to tell us his favorites and that's what we ordered. The steamed bbq pork buns were good but definitely needed way more filling. The real show stoppers were the sautéed green beans with garlic and the spicy peanut wontons. I literally wanted to hop into the kitchen to see how they made it so I could remake it at home because it was just that delicious. The crispy duck was also super good and I loved that they gave tortillas with it to make lil burritos. Sitting at the bar and yapping we just kept seeing food other people ordered which just has me dying to go back and try other menu items.

Food was decent. I enjoyed every single dish we ordered. Service was attentive. I definitely liked the ambiance, which I think made the experience even better. That being said, it's a good place if you are in the area already.

What started as a craving for dumplings turned into a night of delicious eats at Wei Williamsburg. We went on a packed Saturday night and waited over an hour, but our patience was rewarded. The service was top-notch once we were seated, and the food came out quickly. I can't emphasize enough how great the dumplings are, but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The bar has a great vibe. The dim lighting and candles on the tables create a perfect date night atmosphere. Some of the tables are close together, but it's New York City, so that's expected. I can't wait to return to Wei.

Great place to grab some affordable Chinese food with lots of vegetarian options! I would definitely recommend getting the garlic green beans (SOOOO GOOD) and the spicy peanut wontons. The wontons definitely are more peanut than chili oil so if you don't like peanut butter I wouldn't get this. The veggie dumplings were also really good but just normal steamed veggie dumplings. Ask for the chili oil on the side, it's worth it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I will be back :)

Two questions please - 1) the spicy peanut pork dumpling is amazing! Is this traditional or modern spin / Asian fusion? 2) will you please open a location in SF / Oakland area? Nothing like this, you would slay it proper, thank you!

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

I found parking down the block and walked over to the restaurant. It seems like more of a delivery spot because there was no one inside sitting at any of the 5 tables. It's a fairly good size space, very simply decorated, mixed with a cool wall resembling a curio cabinet of treasures. I chose a spot in the middle and went to the restroom which was clean and simple. I noticed there were a lot of takeout orders, from delivery services to local folks picking up their regular dinner. I looked over the menu and decided on salt and pepper wings and an order of shrimp. Fried Rice came out first and it was delicious. I even tasted a hint of salted egg yolk mixed into the egg mixture friefried up with the rice that signature crispiness with the little saltiness.... fantastic. The salt and pepper wings were different than the ones i'm accustomed to though the flavor was amazing. It didn't have the fried garlic, peppers, chilis, and onions that i'm accustomed to being in the dish. They were still flavorful, juicy and crisp and I could tell they cooked them fresh. That was much appreciated. I ended up taking half of my food home because I was stuffed.Thank you Msm Ellen and the Crown Garden crew for a tasty solo dinner.

There was nothing that I ordered that needed ketchup. Nothing. There wasn't even soy sauce in the bag. Then had the unmitigated gall to charge $22 for the salt baked shrimp and told me I had to pay $5 extra to substitute the lo mein for white rice. Who is eating white rice with shrimp? Girl bye. I'm not paying almost $30 for one meal from a hood Chinese spot. If there's no heat in your establishment, your prices need to be in lowercase. If it looks like you might catch staph in your establishment, your prices need not to be so loud. I also believe they overcharged me. They did have a sign saying that the prices went up, but I think they may have been too cheap to print out a new menu if that was the case. I was going off of what they had on the wall for the general public. So as I stated, I ordered crab Rangoon ($7, allegedly), honey wings ($7, allegedly), a shrimp egg roll ($2, allegedly), spare rib tips with fried rice ($12, allegedly). My total was $31. My assumption is they probably charged me extra for pork fried rice, which I didn't ask him for. I know for a fact they are not charging tax because there's no way that you're forcing people to pay in cash while also charging them for taxes that you don't pay. The crab Rangoon was actually pretty decent even though I didn't have the sauce that comes with it. The honey wings were OK. They actually taste more like honey BBQ. I prefer C&Y honey wings. It's real honey and stay hot for an hour due to the way honey maintains heat. I also don't appreciate when these spots chop up a wing and call it two wings. 1 wing is the entire thing. STINGY. The spare rib tips I don't like and neither do I like their pork fried rice. The rice is a bit bland and I don't like those large spare rib tips. I prefer the boneless spare rib tips that C&Y has. A shrimp roll is a shrimp roll is a shrimp roll. It wasn't too bad and it was actually pretty happy. The shrimp was a little bit larger than those baby shrimp that they normally stuff in shrimp rolls. Their pricing is on par with C&Y yet I don't have no issues paying what they ask and their food is good aside from their lo mein. They are not stingy and have pretty decent customer service unlike the guy who took my order here who paused my order to take another order over the phone and tend to the person behind me. This is what I get for cheating on my spot and being lazy when they both were far af.

However, the real negative here is the operations. It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training.
