We got the scallion pancake with braised beef, and it was quite good. The pancake itself was light and very well executed. The braised beef itself, too, had great flavor, although I wish it was a little moister. The one thing that threw me off was the addition of lettuce. It felt kind of out of place and just thrown on there unnecessarily. I think something else, like cucumbers, would have fit the dish a little better. Overall, this was very good, and I would come back to try other items. The atmosphere inside was comfortable, and the service was efficient as well. read more

Stopped in for some quick take out to bring to the park. Honestly I wasn't planning on it but the sign outside with pictures of the food brought me in! I was hoping to order the shrimp rice roll but they were sold out. However I was able to get the sweet pork bing and the spicy pork and mushroom dumplings. The dumplings were delicious! And they definitely pack a punch. The bing was good, and definitely filling. If I'm in the area I'd love to try the rice roll! A decent spot for some quick and tasty food. read more

So Iam a sucker for a dumpling. I got two kinds. One fried and one steamed. The steamed one was very good. The fried one had almost a kerosene aftertaste, if that's even a thing. But the dumplings were good. This is a small fast casual place. Most people did take out when I was there but a few sat at the tables. There was an interesting selection of Chinese potato chips. I didn't get them (saw them after the fact) but if I go again, I'll try them. So I'd come here again. The dumplings were good and decently priced. I just would get steamed and not fried. read more

Mid food and drink at expensive prices. My meal came out to $25 at the Greenpoint, Brooklyn location. The flavor of the Brown Sugar Milk Tea was barely perceptible but at least the tapioca pearls were soft and sweet. My Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice was so, so disappointing. It was tough and dry. Being Taiwanese, I know that Lu Rou Fan is supposed to be fatty and juicy, and I've had it way better elsewhere in Brooklyn. Perhaps I should have stuck with the dumplings here. Service was quick and friendly, and the interior was clean with plenty of seating. I stopped by for lunch early on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. There's only about 6 tables inside and some outdoor seating as well. It was order at the counter and seat yourself. We had the boiled beef dumplings that probably would have been better pan fried which they give the option of boiled or pan fried. We also had the soup dumplings which were tasty. I was most excited for the Mapo tofu but was left disappointed. It was not very spicy but gave the tingling and numbness sensation on the tongue from the Szechuan pepper which I did not particularly enjoy and wished it was just spicier. The place overall was clean but the bathroom was very filthy. Food was just alright therefore don't think I would return. read more

The "Oh" in Oh Dumplings stand for Oh My God because these were some of the tastiest soup dumplings I've had in the city! So much soup inside and bursting with flavor- 10/10! The bao buns were just okay for me (I wouldn't say necessary to get them). But then the beef noodle - wow wow wow and even that's not enough. The beef was incredibly tender, noodles weren't too soft, and the rich broth made it the perfect winter comfort food. 10/10 I recommend you get it. The Taiwanese beer (lychee) was also delicious!! Enjoyed the Chinese sausage bing wrap, the xiao long bao, and pan-fried chicken dumplings. All were cooked perfectly, thoroughly hot when I picked them up and all tasted delicious. The flavors and textures FAR exceeded expectations. A few other nice things: The young man who handed over my order was friendly and polite, the store is clean, there's a deli on the corner if you want to get a drink other than those that Oh Dumplings provides, and the chopsticks they give you here are really substantial and strong, unlike the cheap ones you usually get at takeout places. Stopped in for lunch takeout, ordered Pork and chive dumplings - boiled Soup dumplings Spicy shrimp and pork wontons Chicken congee Beef mo Sweet pork mo The congee, wontons, and soup dumplings were great, lots of flavor. I should have ordered the pork and chive dumplings fried, as they're the thick skinned kind. Still tasty, would have been better fried, but that's on me. The mo could have used some more seasoning. Healthy portions of meat (which is great) but needed something to brighten them up a bit. Will def stop by again to check out more of the menu. Great to have a dumpling spot in the hood. read more

Don't lie about all your dumplings being fresh. I ordered the Cabbage Pork Dumplings, mini Pork and Mushroom Dumplings, and Chicken Congee on Ubereats. Overall, the experience was very average, the Cabbage Pork Dumpling tasted very fresh and was quite flavorful but the Congee was a bit stale for my liking. However, when I moved on to the mini Pork and Mushroom Dumplings, I thought they looked familiar. Then when I took a bite they tasted identical to frozen ones you can buy for $5 a bag (pictures below) Again, other food was okay but if you advertise your food as being fresh then don't be this blatant about serving frozen dumplings on your menu at an insane markup. read more

The place is well lit from sun light. The front is all glass from floor to ceiling. A lot of seating for individuals and small groups. Seating area was very clean. Accessible restroom for customers. It is located in a residential area with not a lot of foot traffic. But area is definitely up and coming when it's more developed. Cashier gave a warm greeting once I came up to order. Open kitchen visible behind the cashier. Kitchen looked very clean. Accommodating when I asked if I could sit in to eat and take out. The menu had some items that weren't on any of the food apps. Pork Belly Bun - Definitely need seasoning with the Pork Belly and it was thin sliced. So a little on the dry side. Plenty of lemongrass. There was Hoisin Sauce on the side of container. It was a messy eat. Fried Cabbage Pork Dumpling - A lot of flavor with the filling and some juice. Came with a container of soy sauce. There was an option for boiled or fried, 6 pieces or 8 pieces. Spicy Sichuan Cold Noodle - Vegan - Very good portion of noodles with shreds of cucumber to add a nice freshness and crunch. Lots of chili pepper seeds and oil. Give it a good stir before you indulge. Chicken Congee - Filled up to the top. They added fresh green onions on the top. All the vegetables were diced. The chicken were of white meat and were minced. Feels homemade and needs seasoning. The congee was warm like it was made early and not to order. Sweet Pork Bing - A sizable portion for either 1 or 2 people. It filled the whole container. Very good portion of pulled pork with 5 spice seasoning and lettuce. Crepe held it's square shape. Packaging was very generic like most take out places. A great place for those that doesn't like the heavy hand in seasoning food. I would definitely come back to try their other items on the menu. Three star since it's in greenpoint. Otherwise, I would be surprised if this place survives in flushing or in Chinatown or in east village. The good: ambiance. Clean tables. Clean in general. Kinda hip. Quick service. The bad: food. It's pricey for what it is. The taste is meh. I would rank it a bit lower than xi'an. We really liked the food at this place....until the last time we ordered the beef noodle soup, we saw that the beef going into the bowl of noodles was coming from a piping hot plastic bag that was just microwaved. I don't have a problem with food being reheated in a microwave. However, the big plastic bag containing the beef being microwaved is simply plastic and not microwave safe. This presents a huge health risk. The question is what other foods are also prepared in such a dangerous way. Will not be going back. read more
