OMG, it was the dough that they make jin dui out of, but filled with marinated beef. I thought it would be fatty and I wouldn't like it, but it was so tender, not fatty at all, and absolutely delicious. The owner also whipped up a little dipping sauce for us at the table, which was great. We had some shrimp shumai dumplings - so good, very hot! And the awesome chicken, rice, and morning glory. Was in the area and needed to grab some takeout for a quick dinner. The online ordering system is very convenient and food was ready in a timely manner. I had the sesame pancake with marinated beef. The sesame pancake was very bready and there wasn't as much meat as I would've liked. The beef itself didn't have a ton of flavor and the dish overall was a little bit dry (but also could've been attributed to how ready the sesame pancake was). It was another celebration and I order delivery from M noodle Shop. I can't complain if the food didn't come out exactly what I like because the limit of Chinese food VS my style. They delivery on time and didn't miss anything. I order Crispy Duck with rice, Special House lo Mein with pork, Sesame Panckae with pork belly and Veg wonton soup. For the duck, I wish they do a better job compared to the price for $18. It is kind of dry and the sauce is too salty. The quality is not hit the price they charge. I actually make my own sauce but using Hoisin sauce with chopped of red Chilli. That makes the duck so much better. Fried lo Mein is good I just don't understand why they have Shanghai style lo mein and House special lo mein. What is different? Both are the same price but Shanghai style lo mein has no choice to choose what meat you want but House special lo mein has. Veg wonton soup is pretty good and I'm glad I order it because most of my order is dry so it is very good to have a soup to make the meal balance. In the hipster area like this that is not lots of competition of Chinese restaurant. Yet another covid-era delivery review... We tend to order from here because for some reason there seems to be a dearth of slightly more upscale Cantonese style restaruants in our area. I dunno, despite their low yelp reviews we find their food to be pretty tasty. Over the past year or so we've had many things on their menu. I personally enjoy ther ho fun with beef, fried dumplings, and noodle soups. Also pretty much all of their vegetables tend to be fressh and at least good if not great. It's a mainstay in our new covid delivery foodie life... I'd say give it a try. read more

Five stars for some of the best comfort food! I've sat in this restaurant a couple of times - most in the winter and it is freeeeeezing in here. Lol wear a coat! However, the food is so good. Salty and comforting as ever. Scallion pancakes are my favorite. crispy on the outside and faintly doughy inside. Chicken wings delicious! ( from the chicken wing connoisseur ) Chinese Broccoli and garlic- ehhh not so great. Taste like nothing bUt that was an easy fix with some sauce from my delicious chicken and rice. They seem to reserve their front of house for order and delivery pick ups and seat people in their large back room. We walked in on a Tuesday night and besides our party of two there was only one other party there. We were given the menus and when it came time to order I went with the sliced pork belly noodle soup. Not only was this serving size tasty, it was generous as well! The waiter was very attentive and the prices were very reasonable-- and much cheaper than nearby similar places. I don't know where to start. I had dinner here on August 20th and the food was NOT good. I ordered the Den Den noodles (they customized the order, so it was vegan friendly) and my friend ordered the shredded chicken ramen. When the food arrived, the noodles where like mashed potatoes. They were VERY overcooked. The food was very bland so there wasn't any flavoring. My friend also said their noodles were very mushy and bland. We didn't complain or was nasty about it. We thanked our server and proceeded to try and eat the food. My friend unfortunately couldn't stomach it and asked for the food to be boxed up. I ate most of my food. As we go to leave, I head to the restroom and my friend heads outside to wait for me. As they head outside, the server approaches my friend and aggressively questions why we did not leave a tip (DISCLAIMER: I always leave a tip if the service is good. This lady's attitude the whole night was a lot to stomach on top of the food.). It was only until I reached outside, and we walked up the block did my friend disclose what happened between them and the server while I was using the restroom. I was furious! That's not how you handle business! The server's attitude was so disingenuous the entire night; it was painfully obvious and uncomfortable. Then the food matched the server's energy. Initially, I wasn't going to give a review as Chef's are allowed to have bad days, but not the server pressing my friend for a tip (who later ended up getting sick from the food!). Got delivery and it totally surpassed expectations! We ordered a bunch; pork and chive dumplings, vegetable buns, salt and pepper squid, double pan fried noodles with veggies and double pan fried noodles with shrimp. The dumplings were above average, would have liked a better sauce. The buns were great, fluffy and not too heavy. The squid was as good as squid is gonna be when delivered. Great late night spot down in Lorimer area in East Williamsburg away from the basic Williamsburg crowd. This little Chinese noodle spot seems small but has an extended back area for larger parties. We always come here late night for dinner. Food is fast and you can order to-go if needed. My go-to is the cold sesame noodles but last night it was super salty for the first time. I had to down it with ginger ale to finish my $9 meal. It's pricey compared to Chinatown or Flushing standards but if you're craving and in Brooklyn... why not? It's comfort food at best! They take card as well over a min of $15. Try their pan fried noodles too! I've had it and it's delicious. Tea is super overpriced but maybe it's the best tea ever! read more

I ordered via caviar and the order took longer than expected due to their delivery system. I called the restaurant and it had been made as soon as I placed the order but the delivery person had not shown up. The restaurant seemed like they were on top of it and gave me a number to call caviar for help. I was hangry at this point. What really annoyed me was when the delivery person came he was not wearing a mask. This has nothing to do with the restaurant, but all this to say that my level of disappointment was high when I opened the container. I ordered the sliced pork belly soup, thinking I was in for a delightful and savory mouthful of warmth. I watched the whole process play out, and it was cringe worthy: I'm waiting for the guy at the grill to get moving on the meat, because he put the noodles in to boil immediately when I ordered. I waited in vain, and it wasn't until I heard the MICROWAVE BEEPING that I understood. I watched him grab a small ziplock from the microwave, dump my sliced pork belly in the bowl, and top it off with some broth and green onion.... I cannot believe I paid actual money for this! The broth was weak and tasteless, which is ridiculous since I saw the Kerr's Chicken Bouillon on their shelf (powdered broth mix), and I know it makes a fairly tasty quick-broth. The MICROWAVED MEAT was, you guessed it, rubbery and totally bland. Could've been chicken, pork, or beef- literally no distinctive taste. And don't even get me started on the overcooked spaghetti noodles they used It was bland. It was blah. After two bites (can't believe I ate it) I threw down my money and asked for the check and a takeout container. While I waited for my change, I witnessed Mr.No Cook fill up the wok with hot water and LAUNDRY DETERGENT to soak some dishes. Seriously!? I have found myself at the M Noodle Shop many nights breaking into early mornings. When the alcohol has hit capacity and hunger has succumbed me. This place is never packed at 6 am, as a matter fact, it is a perfect time. There is ample parking in the front just like there is always seating up front overlooking the street. It is clean and quiet. I might say it is kind of private, even though the kitchen is right there in the middle. Sitting up front will allow you to enjoy the sun rising. It is beautiful and quiet at 6am. If you are into noodles I recommend that you get the lo mein or pad see ew. You will never go wrong with those. I have enjoyed my share of spicy shrimp lo mein. Yum.
