Their "mapo dofu". It smelled vile. Note the frozen peas and carrots.

I ordered from here because it was the only place open at 11 pm. The overly expanse menu should have been a dead giveaway. Their "fried rice" was bright yellow! Bright yellow fried rice? Have you ever heard of such a thing? I have eaten Chinese food from Puerto Rico, Argentina, and all over the United States, from high-end traditional Chinese restaurants to the more casual Chinese-American delivery joints, and never in my life have I ever seen yellow fried rice. It looked like it came from a bag of Uncle Ben's. I also ordered their "mapo dofu", but to call what I received mapo dofu would be an insult to all mapo dofu. Mapo dofu is a delicious Szechuan dish with soft tofu that practically melts in your mouth in a chili and bean paste sauce that has just a kiss of minced pork to give it some extra flavor. It's savory, spicy, tangy, and heavenly. What I got was putrid. As soon as I lifted off the lid from my (messy) container, I was hit with a vile smell. I don't know what the hell this smells like. This was some kind of alien sewer smell. Another thing I noticed was the peas and carrots that clearly came out of a frozen bag. Not a lot of marrowfat peas growing in Szechuan. This place is an insult to Chinese food. It's an insult to every comforting bite of fried rice I've ever had in my life. It's an insult to the Szechuan Province. Don't eat here.

Good reasonably priced Chinese. Sometimes the food is better than others (wish I knew which chef is the good one).

The food is horrible here. Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I've had in New York City. There are much better alternatives nearby.

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

Get the "20 mini dumplings + drink of your choice". Seriously, I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Food: I ordered the 20 mini dumplings and drink combo, substituting the soda option for taro boba (+$4), totaling around $18 after tax! The dumplings are mini, but they are filled with so much flavor it's unbelievable. They each have a bit of soup in them that is so flavorful and not salty. There is also a slight bit of crispiness on the outside of each dumpling before the inside just melts in your mouth. It's unbelievably good. The taro boba is also well done. It's not too sweet, and the boba pearls are a unique level of like not that chewy and feel almost like popping boba?! Service: Friendly service! My friend and I did to-go, but the staff were all quite friendly. There is also a kiosk to order from if in a rush. Ambiance: It's a very clean restaurant and spacious. However, since there were so many people waiting for the viral item, we formed essentially a crowd outside the steps. The wait took about half an hour, and then my friend and I walked just down a couple of blocks to the Brooklyn Heights promenade, which has the most stunning view of the Manhattan skyline.

We were skeptical about this restaurant but it exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return! We came on a weekend for dinner so it was busy! We were able to snag a table and seeing how busy this place was, we knew it was going to be good! We had the pork XLB, chicken feet, pork & vegetable wontons with spicy peanut sauce, noodles with scallion and peanut butter sauce, beef lo mein and the beef ribs. Everything was delicious! The highlights of our meal were the pork XLB and the beef ribs. The pork XLB were made fresh to order and they were flavorful and juicy! Definitely on my list of best XLB I have ever had. The beef ribs were also delicious! They torched it table side which definitely added a nice touch! Considering how busy they were, the service was immaculate. They were also very attentive to details since we had a kid with allergies. We will definitely be coming back soon. This place is also right next to the Court Street train station which makes it very convenient to get to!
