TL;DR: The food is terrible. Overpriced, and I had one of the worst dishes I've ever tasted at a restaurant if not the worst. I went with a party of 5, we all couldn't finish our food and thought it was laughably bad. Service was fine, but I got the wrong dish. I know it's new-- I'm not trying to be cruel, I'm just being completely honest. Don't waste your time or money here. Here's what we got: Chicken Bun It was served upside down and was soggy and wet on the bottom. Meat was a sad showing and nearly no taste. 1/10 *Wasabi Shoyu Ramen* THIS is the WORST ramen I've ever had in my life. I've had $1 cup ramen that tasted 100x better than this. I don't even know what possessed them to add this on the menu. It literally tasted (and probably was) extremely watered down wasabi-- no soy sauce flavor. Just wasabi mixed with water with broccoli and noodles on top. It was DISGUSTING. My whole table tried a sip and we all thought it was terrible. We sent it back to the kitchen and got miso instead. -10/10 Miso Ramen It tastes nearly identical to the mix you get at asian supermarkets. The noodles too. Don't get the ramen here, you'll save tons of money just buying a cup ramen. 2/10 *Agedashi Tofu* Another completely laughable dish. How they aren't completely embarrassed to serve this I have no idea. $5 dollars for... the worst tofu I've been served at a restaurant. Just look at the photo and it's self explanatory. 0/10 *Chicken Katsu Curry* I ordered the Curry Karrage Don, but got this instead. Didn't want to waste more time here so I ate it anyway. Tasted worse than the box curry you get and had no potatoes, carrots anything. The presentation was really strange-- the plate was way too big for the portion offered and there were random raw tomatoes and pickles on the side? The salad that came with it was literally just a few pieces of lettuce with some super salty sauce. Didn't eat it after trying one bite. The meat was oily and I couldn't taste anything besides oil. Couldn't eat the whole thing and I usually love curry. 1/10 We also ordered a creme brûlée crepe but that was fine. Expensive for the portion but I believe that is separate from this restaurant. Overall-- please don't go here unless you want to waste money and get a laugh at how bad the food is. read more

I was excited to hear about a new Ramen place opening up downtown. What it has going for them is location and the variety of Ramen and Udon offerings. I've had ramen of varying authenticities, and so take my review with this in mind. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen, has all the basics that makes a soup a ramen, but I was yearning for more depth in flavors that a really good ramen has. The soup did have a richness, but the tiny details like the coddled egg lacked the soy sauce and the flavor of the chashu pork I wish was richer with a caramelization. Overall though, if you need a quick ramen fix at a decent price- Wei Ramen can fix that need. The inside is clean and the service was quick. I am excited to go back and try their Crepes and Bubble Teas offerings as well. Given their location, I will most likely be coming back to get my "Midwest" ramen fix. read more

I came here for lunch after hearing so much about this place and it did not disappoint. I am normally not a ramen eater, but i am glad I made an exception in this case. I went with the Curry Udon, which are thicker noodles, with Karrage Chicken and they were both delicious. It was so good that I ordered a side of Karrage Chicken after I had finished my meal. I highly recommend. It is colocated with T-Swirl Crepe, an excellent crepe shop. As far as parking goes, I would try to find some metered street parking (most economical option) and if you can not get one of those spots then you can park in one on the nearby lots or garages. As an added bonus, this place is open late and the prices are very reasonable. They staff there only enhanced the experience. They were triple threats, friendly, attentive, and helpful. Today I ordered a $30 lunch from this store, only to discover it was permanently closed. My order was downtown on Washington St. I was not at all happy to have to drive at least one hour round trip to get my food. When I got there, there was no parking, but the staff graciously ran it out to my car. Maybe I was starving at this point, but the gyoza AND the ramen were EXCELLENT! Flew in to Indianapolis and was looking for a quick lunch place to go. I was craving for a ramen and saw this place which was 6 mins away from my hotel. This location is in the heart of downtown, making parking availability slightly difficult. Circle Centre Mall is across the street, so an option is to park at the mall for a few bucks and walk over. There are limited meter spots available on the street out front as well, which were all full when we stopped by. We tried the spicy ramen, pork bun (one order is 1 bun), yamitsuki ramen, and takoyaki appetizer (like fried fish balls) all for takeout. The food came out quickly, and was still hot and steamy when we arrived home. The spicy ramen definitely has a kick which is exactly what my husband wanted! Hubby and I stopped here after the Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon. We were able to be seated right away. It looks like part of the restaurant is for crepes, and part is for ramen. I made my way downtown to this new restaurant that bought one of the buildings along the first block east of Meridian on the north side of Washington Street. It shares the space with two other places: Citybytes Cafe which is upstairs and T-Swirl Crepes which is right at the front of the building on the main floor. Finding Wei Ramen is a little confusing, but you simply walk passed the order counter for T-Swirl and you will be greeted by a host/hostess from Wei Ramen who will help you find some seating. Wei Ramen has full wait service (the other places you order at their respective counters). I was greeted by my waitress and brought my beverage before ordering. I started with a pork bun which was really tasty. The soft steamed bun was folded over sliced pork and some veggies and had a somewhat sweet taste to me. I simply ate it like a sandwich. There isn't a lot of meat in the bun, but considering they have to fold it, they are somewhat limited on how much they can fit inside. I also ordered a Rice Don entree which came with a side salad that was also quite good. My waitress asked if I needed silverware in addition to the chopsticks which I decided would make eating the salad much easier for my lack of skills. The Rice Don I selected was a Tempura Shrimp and Veggie option (others are more like stew). It had close to 2 cups of white rice as a base with some tempura shrimp and a veggie that reminded me of a fried potato wedge. There was also some cooked white onion and the meal was topped with a fried egg and a drizzled sauce (Eel sauce). The menu mentioned Kimchi and a half soft boiled egg, but I didn't notice any spicy kimchi and the egg was definitely hard fried on my dish. Service was quick and attentive. I was able to talk with the owner and he filled me in that in the near future, you will be able to order food from his shop even if you are sitting in the coffee shop upstairs. Note that you will have separate checks for each business you order from, not a consolidated one since each business is separately owned. Good food and service in a tough location for restaurants historically. Parking is always a challenge and requires some fee. I chose to park in the Circle Centre Mall ($3 for a few hours) and walk over to the location.
