I read the mixed reviews before checking this place out so I was a bit skeptical, but I had a great experience. Yes the layout is a bit strange, but we were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in and explained crepes are in the front and ramen in the back. Once seated, the server quickly made his way to the table providing menus and asking for our drink orders. Shortly after, we decided on our two different ramens and placed our orders. Meat was a sad showing and nearly no taste. 1/10 *Wasabi Shoyu Ramen* THIS is the WORST ramen I've ever had in my life. I've had $1 cup ramen that tasted 100x better than this. I don't even know what possessed them to add this on the menu. It literally tasted (and probably was) extremely watered down wasabi-- no soy sauce flavor. Just wasabi mixed with water with broccoli and noodles on top. It was DISGUSTING. My whole table tried a sip and we all thought it was terrible. We sent it back to the kitchen and got miso instead. -10/10 Miso Ramen It tastes nearly identical to the mix you get at asian supermarkets. The noodles too. Don't get the ramen here, you'll save tons of money just buying a cup ramen. 2/10 *Agedashi Tofu* Another completely laughable dish. How they aren't completely embarrassed to serve this I have no idea. $5 dollars for... the worst tofu I've been served at a restaurant. Just look at the photo and it's self explanatory. 0/10 *Chicken Katsu Curry* I ordered the Curry Karrage Don, but got this instead. Didn't want to waste more time here so I ate it anyway. Tasted worse than the box curry you get and had no potatoes, carrots anything. The presentation was really strange-- the plate was way too big for the portion offered and there were random raw tomatoes and pickles on the side? The salad that came with it was literally just a few pieces of lettuce with some super salty sauce. Didn't eat it after trying one bite. The meat was oily and I couldn't taste anything besides oil. Couldn't eat the whole thing and I usually love curry. 1/10 We also ordered a creme brûlée crepe but that was fine. Expensive for the portion but I believe that is separate from this restaurant. I was excited to hear about a new Ramen place opening up downtown. What it has going for them is location and the variety of Ramen and Udon offerings. I've had ramen of varying authenticities, and so take my review with this in mind. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen, has all the basics that makes a soup a ramen, but I was yearning for more depth in flavors that a really good ramen has. The soup did have a richness, but the tiny details like the coddled egg lacked the soy sauce and the flavor of the chashu pork I wish was richer with a caramelization. Overall though, if you need a quick ramen fix at a decent price- Wei Ramen can fix that need. The inside is clean and the service was quick. I am excited to go back and try their Crepes and Bubble Teas offerings as well. Given their location, I will most likely be coming back to get my "Midwest" ramen fix. read more

I came here for lunch after hearing so much about this place and it did not disappoint. I am normally not a ramen eater, but i am glad I made an exception in this case. I went with the Curry Udon, which are thicker noodles, with Karrage Chicken and they were both delicious. It was so good that I ordered a side of Karrage Chicken after I had finished my meal. I highly recommend. It is colocated with T-Swirl Crepe, an excellent crepe shop. As far as parking goes, I would try to find some metered street parking (most economical option) and if you can not get one of those spots then you can park in one on the nearby lots or garages. As an added bonus, this place is open late and the prices are very reasonable. They staff there only enhanced the experience. They were triple threats, friendly, attentive, and helpful. We tried the spicy ramen, pork bun (one order is 1 bun), yamitsuki ramen, and takoyaki appetizer (like fried fish balls) all for takeout. The food came out quickly, and was still hot and steamy when we arrived home. The spicy ramen definitely has a kick which is exactly what my husband wanted! Came here with a few friends during a convention and it was pretty packed. It's a short walk from the convention center, which is nice. The service was great and the staff were friendly. The ramen was pretty expensive ($17) compared to other places on the west and east coast that I've visited. It wasn't the best ramen I've ever had but it was good.
