The interior was a vibe with dim lighting that made the rainy meal experience even cozier. Ordering is easy either through the staff or a self ordering kiosk. I ordered a Hokkaido Miso ramen and sat down. Before I could pull out my phone my ramen came out piping hot. As I sipped and slurped my way through the ramen I tasted a rich and savory broth. It had a soft red miso flavor to it which complimented the fresh veggies, chasu and the egg. The chasu was thick and tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly too. I liked the addition of corn to finish up the soup at the end. If I'm in the area again I will be stopping for bubble tea as the menu looked great! read more

I'll be honest: I arrived around 1:30pm and it was completely empty, which caught me off guard. But the vibe was nice and calming, the menu was extensive (ramen and boba options for days), and I landed on the spicy miso ramen--exactly what I needed to warm me up. Nailed it. The broth was rich, savory, and comforting with just the right amount of heat. Every ingredient tasted vibrant and fresh. The green onions, tender pork, and perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg were the ideal companions swimming in that spicy miso goodness. I came here for lunch, it's an order and sit down restaurant. I ordered the spicy ramen, and I ordered extra pork, because usually there's not enough protein for my liking. The pork was very tender and flavorful, with a decent amount of fat. The vegetables on top were very fresh. The broth though? Wow! So rich and flavorful! The spice was good too. The noodles were really good too. It was so filling, I couldn't finish it, which is kind of rare for me, because if something is this good, I'm determined to eat everything. The service was good, though there's not much interaction. You order on a touch screen, and they bring it when it's ready. You leave your bowl and drink on the table and leave. They're really quick to come by and clean off the table. Broth is kind of the make or break for good ramen, and this place is definitely worth the trip. read more

As a ramen-lover, I recently came across Yujo and was happy I did! It's located in the same strip area as Starbucks & Another Broken Egg Cafe on Meridian with a wide variety of affordable ramen & bubble tea options -- including delicious vegan & vegetarian options. First, this strip area is quite large so there's ample parking, unlike some of the ramen spots downtown. Next, it's open later than some spots (until 8:30PM!) and is also available on DoorDash for pickup & delivery. Yujo also offers a rewards program via Toast which is great for frequent boba & ramen lovers like myself. I enjoyed a Lychee Mango Green Tea (didn't make it home it was so yummy ) and the Miso Vegetable ramen with egg & a bunch of added veggies to-go. Everything was packaged well and made the journey safely. They offer a straight & wavy noodle (but not the thick noodle like Jinya in Fishers which is my fav) but it was absolutely delicious. Next time I'd only change getting extra noodles because I had a lot of broth. Though there were diners and those grabbing to-go myself, the dining ambiance was calm, clean, and comfortable. A friend suggested this place, and I wasn't sure at first. I don't eat meat, have a nut allergy, and a sesame sensitivity. I love ramen, but those things make it hard. Yujo made all of that easy. I told the cashier it was my first time, and she helped me pick out a popular dish that was similar to Shoyu. I ended up getting the Spicy Miso bowl and a strawberry milk tea with strawberry popping boba. Everything was DELICIOUS. I left perfectly full - which doesn't happen often. I can't believe I haven't been here and it's so close to me. We finally popped in to try it and I ordered at the kiosk so I could read the details and not hold up anyone who came in behind me who could order from the cashier. I ended up getting the Hokkaido miso ramen and my husband and I split the pork gyoza too. Both were so good! But, also such a large portion of ramen! My friend took mine home for leftovers. I did try a tea, without the boba, but even at 25% sweetness, it was too sweet for me. I would try something different in the beverage arena next time. The chashu was some of the best I've ever had. A friend was able to substitute out the chashu with extra eggs, so that's always an option. This place has trumped any other ramen place that I have been too or will ever go to. I've been here twice in the past two years and omg... I miss it so much I wish we had one in TN! Worth every penny!!!! The food is actually so good, the first time I went I had the Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen which I had ended up clearing my bowl, pork was tasty and had its own flavor. My partner has the Hokkaido Miso Ramen, his only opinion was that it was very strong and intense. I completely agree I had it my second time around and it does get a little tiring once you get close to finishing your bowl, love the flavor, it's just too rich the few times we had it. I also had the Fried Chicken Bites and they were good but a large portion of the chicken pieces were dry and over cooked/fried. I also don't think the price is fair for the small pieces of chicken you get. Granted that's not what you go for. Boba and any drinks here are pretty standard but I did get confused what 100% sugar meant, which literally just means standard sugar amount, LOL. Service is great, the staff was really nice and were patient with us! Ambiance was a chill and quiet, not very many people in at once the times that I had went. Overall would highly recommend! I went for 50% sweetness and it was spot on, didn't even need toppings. For the ramen, I went with their signature option: Yuzu Signature. I'm a Tonkatsu/pork girl through and through so this was definitely branching outside my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did! First of all, the tender cuts of chicken look as appetizing as pork! They are packed with juicy flavor, and I wasn't at all feeling disappointed I chose chicken over pork as something new. The noodles had the perfect chewy bounce. Goodness, this was a dangerously good delivery and Ramen experience. Having a seafood allergy my options with Ramen and Japanese cuisine tend to be limited. Luckily, in the case of Yujo, their staff was well-informed and great at navigating allergies. I was even able to order my first pick on the menu: Garlic oil Ramen and it did not disappoint. Goodness, the broth was packed with flavor and I thoroughly enjoyed the wavy noodles (substituted the straight noodles). I also ordered the brown sugar tea to pair with my lunch and it was equally delicious. I look forward to working my way through the menu on future delivery experiences. The Downtown Ramen scene is lacking which makes delivery from Yujo all the more enticing. Big thanks to their team for helping me navigate my allergy and the great customer service on the phone. Very refreshing :-) At first i thought it tasted like normal oolong and then I stripped the plastic top film off and then sensed the peach aroma My 6yo had the strawberry assam w 50% sugar. This is a counter service ramen and bubble tea restaurant where ordering is done upfront, and staff will bring food to you. It was clean and not super crowded on a Saturday afternoon. They offer some seating outdoors as well. It wasn't the best ramen I've ever had, but it certainly hit the spot. I thought the bamboo wasn't as soft as I've had at other ramen shops and the black garlic wasn't as intense in flavor, just more salty and garlicky than the tonkatsu. The tonkatsu seemed to be sweeter than others I've had, with a nice milkyness to it. The broths did seem to be quality with the good pork collagen milkyness. Their spicy ramen and their Hokkaido style ramen are phenomenal! The Karage and Gyoza were also phenomenal! My sister studied abroad in Japan for a year, and she said this place was the closest she's had to the ramen in Japan. Yujo was the first ramen restaurant I'd been to, and I've tried several others since then, and none have come CLOSE the depth of flavor that Yujo has achieved. I tried Yujo for the first time yesterday and it was great. I ordered the Yuzu Signature dish which is described as; Refreshing lemon zest with our slow simmered chicken and pork broth. I got my order to go. When I arrived home I reheated in the microwave and it was delicious. As I was waiting for my order I looked around at the dishes being served and the presentation was beautiful and appeared to be a larger portion than the takeout portion. I plan on staying and enjoying my meal on my next visit. Additionally I ordered a selection of four Mochi donuts and they were (NOTE were...eaten by myself in 2 days - well in reality one 24 hour span). They are so delicious, all 4 flavors. They are fun to eat too with the fun shape. The location is convenient, the parking lot is large - however there are several businesses sharing the lot so you may have to walk a bit. read more

A cold, snowy Monday is a good excuse to get ramen takeout, right? (The correct answer is yes.) I mean, ramen is good all the time, but when it's cold outside, or when I'm sick, or when I have a hangover, ramen is the best thing in the world. Today, it was cold outside, so ramen it was. Yujo offers half a dozen or so different combinations of ramen, including vegan ramen, spicy ramen, and ramen with miso broth. Because this was my first time visiting, I chose the Yuzu Signature, which included pork and chicken broth, a soft-boiled marinated egg, nori, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, pork and, of course, noodles. I chose to add corn for an extra dollar. It was goooood, people. Super slurpable noodle goodness. My husband got the Tokyo Classic, which, when we compared each other's ramen, looked like it included all of the ingredients that came in the Yuzu Signature. I think the only difference is that the broth is different? Don't quote me on that, but from a layman's (laywoman's) point of view, the two seem very similar. We got our ramen to go, and everything was packaged nicely and securely, including the broth. Yujo offers curbside takeout, too, which is nice. I almost forgot: I also got a fruit tea boba: the Rose Garden. I got it on ice, without any sweetener or cream. It was great and refreshing. If you like floral teas, you will love this one. The boba were nice and chewy, too. It would have been great without boba, but the boba was a nice touch. read more
