Tonkotsu Ramen (extra spicy) with rice noodles
Aishah P.

I've been to Tasty Oishi twice the last few times I've gotten to visit Brownsburg and every visit that I had was extremely pleasant. The food was not only delicious but the owner and workers are SO friendly and accommodating (I think it's family owned). If I was a local I would go here all the time! The tonkotsu ramen had the most flavorful broth with the perfect egg. The honey lemon pepper wings were PERFECT. If I had a bigger stomach I would've cleared the entire table. I ordered a calamari earlier (I forgot to take a pic) but they forgot to add it to my bill and when I asked for it they gave me an order on the house which was so sweet of them. Of course I had to give them a tip to compensate and the worker refused. (I still added it to the tip box) hahaha. We also went on a day where I think the owner's kids were at the restaurant and they had gone over and asked us if the food was okay and I thought that was so cute! It's a very mom and pop type restaurant so it has a very cozy vibe and you will feel welcomed and accommodated when you come in. I thought it was also very sweet when we left the restaurant and the owner ran out to say goodbye and thank us for dropping by at the parking lot. I think this is the best service I've gotten anywhere. Period. Please try their amazing food and support this wonderful family!

We've been here many times and have always had excellent service. The owner and his family are so friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious. Somehow I don't believe I have posted a review though. The dining area is on the smaller side but still very inviting. In the colder part of the year, it can be a little chilly in there but that makes it perfect for Ramen. This time we ordered the takoyaki which is ball shaped dumplings with an octopus filling. They are covered with a sauce that is like teriyaki sauce. We also ordered some pork egg rolls, fried calamari, some hot lemon pepper wings and of course some Ramen. Everything was amazing as always and we will definitely be back many more times.

Wonderful little Ramen restaurant. The whole family helps out and the food is made with love and it's evident in the flavor of everything you taste. The prices are spot on for what you get in portion size and the selections are plentiful from appetizers, drinks, Ramen or soups. So yourself a favor and give them a try if you enjoy this style of food. The spice level is tailored to your liking and the selection of specialty drinks will wash it all down while cooling off the heat.

I love this place. We think it's owned by a cute family and run like a small family restaurant. For some gyoza and ramen including the beef rib ramen. Overall amazing experience. We had the most adorable waiter and she made sure we always had napkins, water and anything else. I will def come back next time I'm in Indy and 100% recommend this little family restaurant.

Vegetable Hibachi Noodles with cherry lemonade and spring rolls

We've dined here three times so far and enjoy it more and more. Delicious noodles, delicious spring rolls, variety of drinks from tea to lemonade (cherry is our favorite)! Wonderful husband and wife that are so friendly and wants nothing but for you to enjoy their food and atmosphere!

Best Ramen place I've had in awhile, great atmosphere and fantastic food! Owners are absolute wonderful people, ordered the extra spicy shoyu ramen with yaki tori, gyoza, and takoyaki. Will definitely be coming back!!

This unassuming ramen joint inside a small strip mall would not have you necessarily thinking about authentic ramen, but this is worth the stop. The restaurant is run by a family that knows ramen. You begin by picking your base- tonkotsu, shoyo, or miso- all regular or spicy and then your protein. We had beef and chicken. On a cool September day- the ramen was hot and filling. The service was very good- with plenty of offers to refill our beverages. I would highly recommend this spot for the locals and anyone traveling through Brownsburg, as we were.

Beef Ramen with Shoyu Soup. Delicious!

I had such a craving for ramen and decided to go to Tasty Oishi. I ordered online this time and it was easy maneuvering around. I ordered the Beef Ramen with Shoyu Soup. My order was waiting for me as soon as I arrived and I was in and out quickly. The owner is always friendly and assisted me at the counter. When I got home I appreciated that everything was packaged well. Just pour the hot soup into the ramen bowl and enjoy. It was amazing! I didn't have to add anything and it definitely hit the spot.

The service here is amazing! It is a true family-run business. The son, Brayden, running the cash register is in 4th grade and is better than most adults in the food service industry. He is a true delight. The inside is very clean and tastefully decorated. We got the brown sugar milk tea with boba and the mango green tea with boba and they were both delicious and fresh. We also got a miso chicken ramen bowl (DELICIOUS!!!), crab Rangoon (highly recommend), and lemon pepper wings (crispy, well seasoned, and tasty)! All in all, this was such a great experience. We will be back again and again simply because of how wonderful the customer service was. Thank you for such a delightful experience.

Feeling under the weather and wanted to pick up something quick on my way home. This ramen is . It's flavorful and exactly as described. I got the spicy pork tonkatsu ramen. This is now my go to ramen spot!! The guy who gave me my order was nice! I want to dine in next.

Get your ramen here!

It's cold and grey out indefinitely, so go get some warm ramen. Tasty is a small spot in the strip across from Walmart. It's very cute inside with several tables. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There are several appetizers to choose from including crab rangoons, spring rolls, goyza among others. The ramen is a large portion good for a few meals. Meat, shrimp, tofu and vegetable choices. There are rice bowls and a variety of wing flavors if ramen isn't your thing. If it ever warms up the different milk and fruit teas look promising. It's nice to have a local option instead of another fast food joint. Check them out.

Tofu & sliced beef Tonkotsu in the back! With crab ragoons! Super freshhhhh!

The food is excellent, I love how kind and generous the staff are and the service is fantastic. I personally love their Peach fruit tea and their paintings inside the restaurant. The music is very relaxing and the paintings look beautiful. I 100% recommend coming to give it a try

During my visit, I enjoyed the chicken and ramen bowl special accompanied by milk tea, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ramen was flavorful, satisfying, and generously portioned, offering excellent value for the price. I also ordered the barbecue chicken skewers, which were equally impressive and absolutely amazing. The quality and presentation of the food truly exceeded my expectations. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the atmosphere deserves recognition. The restaurant is beautifully maintained, calm, inviting, and comfortable, creating an ideal environment to relax and enjoy a wonderful meal. What makes Fuji Ramen particularly special is the level of hospitality and customer recognition. My husband originally recommended the restaurant because he visits so frequently that the staff already know his order and bring it to him when he walks through the door. That level of familiarity and personalized service speaks volumes about the relationships this establishment builds with its customers. It is always refreshing to discover a restaurant that successfully combines quality, affordability, exceptional hospitality, and a memorable dining experience. Fuji Ramen certainly delivers on all fronts. I wholeheartedly recommend Fuji Ramen to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful ramen, delicious appetizers, and an exceptional overall dining experience. The generous portions and reasonable prices make it an outstanding value. Five stars across the board! I will absolutely be returning, and I can certainly understand why my husband has become such a loyal customer!

We made reservations but really didn't need to as they were not extremely busy. We were seated right away at a hibachi table with two other adults and a child. The tables seat 8 people and we had a total of 5 at ours. Our drink order was taken quickly and we opted for the VIP meal which is filet mignon, shrimp, lobster tail, scallops, chicken and fried rice and vegetables for two. The cook came out shortly and began to prepare our meal. Soft drink refills are free. Of course you get the ginger salad and mushroom soup beforehand. I enjoyed the ginger salad because it had lots of dressing but could have used a little more of a gingery taste. The chef made plenty of fried rice for 4 of us and plenty of vegetables. In fact, that's what your meal is mostly made up of. The VIP meal is $100 for two people and one other person at our table got filet mignon and scallops with his meal. The food was ok but could have used more seasonings. You do not get much protein in your meal. For $50 each we got 3 shrimp, 3 scallops, plenty of slightly overdone chicken, 4 pieces of filet mignon and 3-4 pieces of lobster. You get entirely too much rice and veggies. The person at the table that did not order the VIP got more scallops and more fillet. Overall we were not impressed and would probably not return because I feel paying $100 for two people should get you as much if not more since you are paying more for it. I felt the chef should have prepared more protein and less "filler." Oh well, live and learn and try other hibachi places.

I was looking for the perfect "treat yourself" dinner, and Akira absolutely delivered. First off, the staff are SO incredibly friendly. My waitress was funny, kind, and we ended up talking about travel which is just another reminder that you really can make a new friend anywhere. Then came the hibachi chef, who was great, efficient, and a stellar grill master. I stuffed my face, enjoyed the show, and honestly had the best time. Service was a 10/10. I started with their complimentary soup and salad, plus added a California roll. Soup was delicious and the salad was good but opt for the ginger dressing over the sesame (pro tip). Also are we allowed to eat lettuce yet? Anyways didn't get sick from iceberg lettuce-gate so a win is a win. Also as a shocking note....Indiana isn't known for their sushi so skip the rolls. No offense. On to the best bites though! The filet mignon and scallop combination was calling my name...and YES, it was the right move. The filet was tender melt in your mouth and the scallops were cooked to perfection. Each hibachi dinner comes with soup, salad, a shrimp appetizer, and of course I upgraded to the fried rice because...obviously. Super good and tasty. Large portions and for $50 a person for dinner with the prime steak option, well worth it (cheaper options if you just get one protein though). Hibachi is simple, but sometimes simple is just SO GOOD and this was easily one of the better teppan spots I've ever been to. Also...did I consume approximately a GALLON of the pink sauce Absolutely. If you know, you KNOW. And if you're flying into Indianapolis: Akira is only about 20 minutes from the airport in Plainfield, making it a pretty easy stop if you're in the area. Couldn't recommend this place more, don't let the low yelp scores fool you, for once reviewers got this place wrong (in my humble opinion).

He was full of character, amazing suggestions, and all around fun to be around.
