I broke my own role as Harmony is somewhat of a chain restaurant, however, local in nature. However, I had a really good experience the first time so when I saw this, I had to stop. They have a great atmosphere food and service so you cannot go wrong. They are really known for her their hibachi rather in a group setting, or off the menu. I selected this evening Steak and scallops, which was fantastic. Did I say it was fantastic? Yes, I did. It was very very good. They have a nice sushi selection. Drink menu is a little less to be desired for. Nothing on tap for beer and just a few standard bottles. They do have a full liquor bar so I can make anything there. Good luck getting in the door. Literally. The hibachi fan hoods create a vacuum seal on the front doors and it is nearly impossible to open the doors to the restaurant. Once you crack the literal seal, they lost their liquor license. No adult beverages what so ever. Will update once we have food and water.... read more

The lunch menu offers assorted sushi, hibachi and teriyaki meals. I ordered the Hibachi steak with mushroom soup. The mushroom soup is hot and refreshing, made with a clear broth. The Hibachi steak was tender and perfectly prepared with stir fried mixed vegetables (broccoli and mushrooms) and rice. The soy based flavorings were perfect. My husband had the 2-roll sushi lunch. He selected the fried crispy spicy crab roll and shrimp tempura roll. The rolls were beautifully plated and generous. He loved both rolls, especially the crab roll. It was a beautiful lunch. So my wife likes this place. I will start with that! So my dish was chicken teryaki with salad, soup, and fried rice. We both tried my food after I saw the very small portion of meat and broccoli. It's pretty bad these restaurants out here just SKIMP on the proteins!! In addition every item in my order was so bland that my wife decided to just redo my meal with seasonings and more meat. Most people work hard for there money to not be over charged and under portioned. My wife and will not be going back. She's usually the one to give restaurants a chance but in the case my chicken teryaki meal was more like a kids meal. I hate giving bad reviews but I need to warn the people getting take out from here. Im sure dine in is much better because you can see you portion right away. I'm a regular at the Harmony bubble tea shops around Indy, so I had to try their restaurant and I really enjoyed it! We came on a Friday night and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table (we sat in the regular dining room not the hibachi room). We were seated at one of the first tables in the dining room, which was pretty close to the main doors so any time the door would open we would feel the cold breeze... just something to keep in mind. The restaurant is very bright and nicely decorated though. For appetizers we started with the kaarage chicken which was nice and crispy. And for entrees we tried the spicy seafood ramen and the tempura udon. Everything tasted good, wasn't necessarily blown away but the portions were big and the soups were flavorful! The service was good, our waiter was really nice, although he never came around to refill our waters so by the end of the dinner we didn't have any water left. I actually think this is one of the best visually designed restaurants I have ever been to. The lighting, floors, even the bathrooms are beautiful. Service is always great. Never had a complaint. Now here is the issue. The rice. It is a staple at every Japanese restaurant. For whatever reason, this is the least flavorful rice I have ever had. I always have to doctor it up and it makes me not want to come here. They have great steak, chicken, shrimp, and sushi...but the rice. Come on!!! I would love to take the rice from the Japanese restaurant on 86th street in Indy and replace it. Then this would have five stars and I would be here at least once a week instead of once a year. When ordering our food we asked for chicken fried rice made at the hibachi table and we got a total run around and finally told NO chicken fried rice at the hibachi table?? I have never been to a hibachi place that said no to chicken fried rice at the hibachi table!! They would only make the chicken fried rice back in the kitchen. I found this strange and asked why with no clear answer. We did say that we were happy to pay an upgrade for the chicken fried rice at the hibachi table. We chose the dining area vice hibachi with only 2 of us, and the service was stellar. Not rushed, but quick and attentive. I ordered the Hawaiian roll and it was delicious. Ever since Harmony has opened in Anson (Whitestown/Zionsville shopping center) I have been a huge fan!! I love sushi and basically most Japanese cuisine and they have great menu choices!! The unagi don, which is roasted eel on rice and is covered in a delicious sauce, rocks!!! It's so amazingly delicious. We also ordered the chicken karaage (Japanese fried chicken) that made the pint of Sapporo beer pop. And then the rock lobster roll that was so refreshing. There seemed to be drumming happening on the side where they cook at the table, so we sat on the opposite side so we could talk... I got the fried crab Rangoon sushi roll and also mushroom soup and they were both delicious. I also ordered the hot tea although I didn't see it on the menu. It came in a good sized pot.
