I am so pleased that I have changed my internet provider from Cox to Webpass on 24 July 2018. After booking an appointment online at Webpass.net, I have received a free same day installation of internet service within 5 hours of my booking. Raul, a technician who installed and tested my intenet download (94.7 Mbps) and upload (97.5 Mbps) in 10-minute has arrived at my apartment on time. Soon after the installation, I have taken my yellow ethernet cable out of a wall jacket by accident, resulting in a lost of internet connection. Using my cell phone data provided by T-mobile, I have created a ticket under "support" tab at Webpass.net and received online support within minutes. With their support, I was able to get back online very soon. I have created another ticket to ask for help with changing my payment plan from $60/month to $550/year (I have selected $60/month by mistake, but could not change it after making the selction). It was changed by Webpass support team within a couple of hours. I have asked why some coustomers in my building cannot receive any signal or get low speed. I was told that it has something to do with the apartment location in that it must be within 180 feet of a Webpass modem. After experiencing a long waiting time to get teachinical support by phone myself, I have come to realized that the best way to obtain techinical support is to create an online ticket. I have given Webpass five-star because of their no contract, budles, hidden fees, but fast, reliable internet with efficent, professional online support and reasonable cost of service features. read more

I was in such a bad relationship with my ISP before--I thought that by paying a ridiculous amount every month that it would guarantee fast internet. But then HBO Go would some days just fail to play or Netflix would get stuck buffering. I thought it was maybe my fault; maybe something I was doing. But then I moved into a new building and it had Webpass and everything just made sense again. Now everything just downloads and streams like it's supposed to. What's more, it's cheaper and easier to set up than any other provider I've tried. Major ISPs have colluded to suck in an effort to make people believe internet service is a depressing, fungible commodity, like fast food burgers. They say they're different, but they're all the same and they're all pretty terrible compared to the real thing. The one caveat I will say is that I spent a bit of time and money upgrading my home network after I got Webpass to take advantage of the speeds. It's not necessary but you may find yourself shopping for gigabit routers and cat 6 cables. If you're getting a gigabit router, don't pay full price--there's always a good deal somewhere on the web for those. read more

Let me start by saying this is my first Yelp review ever. I've had AT&T broadband, wireless and tv for a long time and I just assumed when I moved that I would sign up for AT&T again. However, after researching the options, I learned that Webpass was available in my building, so I decided to give it a try. It has only been a few days, but I couldn't be more impressed. The speed is amazing and the price couldn't be beat ($450/year = $37.50; no additional taxes, no equipment fees). The tech that got us set up (Jamison) was on time, professional, personable and extremely efficient; he was in our apartment for less than 10 minutes. The service did go down for 30 minutes on a Saturday, which you wouldn't think would qualify for 5 stars, but I received a phone call and a voicemail from their tech team over the weekend, which is unheard of in this day and age of automated customer management. read more

Amazing..!! at 7pm on Friday eve using my android to access webpass' website was able to schedule 10am Saturday morning install.. ~9'ish Saturday morning got a call from tech (Curtis Harvey) informing me additional equipment needed in my apartment building and explained install would be delayed, which was understandable since I had requested service less than 24 hours earlier on Friday. 11'ish Curtis called me back with a workaround/fix to the equipment issue and asked if I am still available? Being anxious to have my internet up and running I adjusted my schedule and Curtis was there within 20 minutes and had me connected very quickly. Curtis was very professional and knowledgeable. Informed me of risks associated with using my existing equipment, helped me wire it up and make sure all was good. I am quite satisfied so far. GREAT JOB!!! Thank you Curtis!! Albert read more

Pros * OMFG fast * Great price, no hidden fees * Outstanding customer service Cons * Phone support not 24/7 * Available only in certain buildings http://webpass.net/buildings?city=san+diego&column=address&order=asc * Might need a new router (Gigabit WAN port) to take full advantage of the speed Pre-sales questions were answered promptly, even off hours. Installation was easy and free, scheduled online, with the technician arriving on time and finished in minutes. Then, the performance.. * Full 1080p HD streaming video (YouTube, etc.) buffering and playing back in less than a second. * Software installation ISO's and other large, 1GB+ file downloads complete in less than a pee break. (HEY! Wash your hands!) * Loooooooooooow latency gaming, LPB-style. Welcome to the future. May we never get Cox-blocked again. *swoon* read more

WOW! Lightning fast speeds for business! I work for a homeowners association in Little Italy and my building is wired for Cox and Webpass when it comes to internet. The management office is small and consists of 6 work stations. We have been using cox for as long as anyone could remember, constantly disappointed. We recently switched to Webpass and wow... just wow! The customer service and follow through are top notch. And that was all before we even got online. Great technicians like Adam and people in the office like Julie made the hook up experience a breeze. No we are online and pulling 300+ down. All the while saving money when compared to the old cox bill. I would recommend Webpass to anyone who has the option! read more

I am finally free of the tyranny and monoply of Cox and AT&T, no more data limits and throttling for streaming netflix or any other video. I called the day they were available for my building and they sent a technician to set up the service that very next day. Jaime was on time and extremely efficient and professional, he provided outstanding customer service. Cox when they came to set up my internet took 3 weeks to schedule an apointment and could only set a block window of time, and they were already available! they just had to turn the cable outlet on, that didn't stop them from charging 50 bucks for a service webpass provides for free. If webpass is available in your community get it I swear it will be worth it. read more

Great service if/when it works. The problem is that it goes out and if it does. You better hope you have ALOT of patience! Plan to sit on hold for at least an hour and when you do finally get someone, hope you get someone that has at least some knowledge. It's 50/50. Reading through, it sounds like a lot of others have had the exact same problem and I agree with what another said. What's the great benefit of fast service if it either doesn't work and/or you can't reach anyone. It's a shame - I had been with them for a while and the service has done downhill. (I'm now 25 minutes on hold with no response. This is after about 40 minutes on hold and them disconnecting and not calling back.) read more

I had Webpass installed today and everything has been just as promised. My installer, Jaimison Yaptangco, was awesome and very helpful. He showed me everything I needed to know and even figured out why we were having problems before. He took the time to answer all my questions. He is excellence in human form. I imagine most of the employees there are also top notch. Everything has been running up to speed as advertised and overall this has been a great experience. Via Ethernet I am easily reaching 400 mbps. Connected to wi-fi you will see a drop in speed but still much much better than the big names in internet service providers. Very pleased. read more

Good afternoon, I am writing to commend the work done during our installation of Webpass by Mr. Curtis Harvey, Network Installer, back in February 2017. He actually arrived early and called me. The installation was seamless and quick. He even debriefed me on wireless router configuration and set this up as well. The speed is fantastic and markedly exceeds what I had with Cox. I recommend him as an installer for those who choose to subscribe. The price is $19 dollars a month cheaper than what Cox offers for its 150 Mbps. It is only $60.00 per month (no hidden fees) and the speed is 500 Mbps. Best Regards, :) read more

Excellent! With Webpass I'm getting twice the speed of my old Cox "premier" internet service at two-thirds of the cost. Network Installer Jaimison arrived five minutes early, was polite and very helpful. Installation took just a few minutes. And he made sure I was able to connect my wireless router to my Mac and other devices before he left. To Cox's credit, they didn't give me a hard time for cancelling their service. When I explained I had changed to Webpass, the rep said he heard it was getting some really fast internet speeds. read more

As a new Webpass internet client, I am impressed with their service. The internet connection is always fast and stable, with little downtime. The installation went smoothly, and customer service was prompt and helpful. Pricing is also competitive, making it an excellent bargain for the level of service provided. However, their service area is limited. All in all I am pleased with Webpass and would suggest it to anyone searching for a dependable and fast internet service in their coverage region. read more

Before Webpass we were having issues with our internet service. We would lose service on an everyday basis, slow speeds at night..?, and a lack of answers from COX. When Webpass became available in our building we immediately called for an appointment. Jaimi arrived on time and connected us to the internet in less than 20 minuets. Internet speed was unbelievable .....over 400mbp. Today our internet is reliable, fast and one less issue to deal with....thanks Webpass. read more

I've never written a review for any business or restaurant but I have to do so for Webpass and Justin who installed it for us. Not only did Justin show up promptly, he worked incredibly efficiently and had us up and running in under 30 minutes. He was very professional and also very friendly. The service is outstanding and incredibly fast. Anyone who is living in an apartment complex is crazy for not using Webpass. Thank you to Webpass and Justin for hooking it up! read more

Jaimison was assigned to install Webpass at my condo downtown San Diego. He arrived on time, courteous and completed the task quickly. I did not realize that I would be switching to DSL instead of cable, which changed my set up a bit with an AirPort Express that I use for many devices. Jaimison took the time to listen and understand my desire to continue to have all my devices wireless, figured out a solution and came back to fix everything for me. read more

Very quick, extremely professional, no nonsense installation, with full explanation and accurate testing. Could not possibly be happier with this service. Have had it before for only one month last summer. Now I am back again with Webpass. It has been a good experience so far. Wouldn't it be nice if the rest of the telecom, retail, construction and other industries treated their customers so well? San Diego is lucky to have this available. read more

Most pleasant installation ever; no modem needed. By far best performance and best price; guaranteed 200Mbps and I'm getting just over 300Mbps down and over 300Mpbs up, (wired) Wireless is in the 100's. Webpass tech Curtis was early; courteous; and well informed and happy to answer question. If you're in an area where Webpass is available there is NO BETTER service available. ~Z read more

Installation by Jaimison Yaptangco was on time and really quick. Later that week I punched down a patch panel to provide wired connections throughout my house but couldn't get the wiring right back to the telecom closed on my floor so Jason came back and fixed it for me. Speeds for me has been at least 200MB but have been as high as 400 MB (up and down). Amazing. read more

Jaimison Y. is a great installer for Webpass here in San Diego. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. He went the extra mile to help us understand how our network works and advised us about best equipment to maximize our wireless experience. Webpass speed is awesome and enables us to use Netflix, youtube, to the max. Thanks, Jaimie! read more
