The atmosphere of the place as it's an old movie theater turned into a restaurant was so vibey and cool! we walked in and sat at the bar, service was not super amazing. a girl saw us, then walked off. came back about 5-10 min later and gave us menus. we tried to order a drink and she said one second and then didn't come back for 30 min. we grabbed ahold of a diff bartender, he felt terrible and he made up for it! we were able to get all food and drinks in and he checked in on us multiple times. Nowwww... MY FAV PART... the food we started off with the duck shoots ans they were really good (the sweet chili sauce was my fav; it comes w 3 sauces). for my main meal, i got the chilean sea bass and I can't even stress this enough but it was PHENOMENAL. it melted in my mouth, full of flavor, and one of the best fish i've ever had! Wasn't invited by close friends to try this restaurant for the first time I will have to say the experience was mesmerizing and the view was very beautiful as is an old movie theater that they converted into a restaurant. If you ever get a chance, make sure that you sit in the balcony so that you. Overlook the whole restaurant and watch the silent movies that they have projected on the screen above. The food was amazing. We tried the meatballs the lobster tails and I got the bone in ribeye with a side of macaroni and cheese. Everything was seasoned to perfection and well deserved. Our waiter Angela was very knowledgeable about everything from the restaurant history to the menu itself so I will give her props as she's been there for about six years as she mentioned. Webb Custom Kitchen is a hidden gem and a must visit. The wait can be long, so I recommend a reservation. If not, there are a few local bars to check out in the area as you wait for a table. What a charming place! It's absolutely worth a stop if you are in the area. I dropped in for a late lunch or early dinner while in town. I chose a seat at the bar and was captivated by the aesthetics and the atmosphere. The staff was welcoming, and the food was delightful! I really enjoyed the flash-fried lobster tails. The truffle fries were pretty good as well. The cocktail was okay. Nevertheless, the ambiance and the apparent history alone makes it a must-visit. I visited this location with a work colleague. While the setting was a little romantic for what was essentially a business dinner, the ambiance is fantastic. I had the Slow Braised Short Rib of Beef and collard greens. The beef was tender and flavorful and the collard greens perfectly paired with it. The service too was impeccable. read more

Went for brunch with friends. The cocktail was DELISH - it featured Muddy Water rum which was a plus. The short rib omelet was HUGE / it came with a sweet potato hash which was tasty! The only negative was the basket of "scones" - peach, sesame and plain - those flat oily things are NOT scones. I took the leftovers to go but I won't eat them! Husband and I first time visit and as for me I wouldn't return. This restaurant was recommended by the manager and he was supposed to had made reservations for us but to our surprise once we arrived Saturday and gave our name and phone number nothing. Waited about 30 minutes to be seated, I was ready to walk out the door but my patient husband wanted to give it more time. When my husband met the manager he assured him we would have excellent seats and he would look out for us. Needless to say he was not a man of his word in any capacity. I really don't understand what all the hoopla is about when it comes to this establishment. Our server was pleasant and attentive. To many stairs and to dark. These establishments never consider customers who may have vision issues. As for the food, we started off with appetizers of wings and fried green tomatoes. The wings had a good taste but some were cooked to hard and as for the tomatoes I've definitely had better. All four of the tomatoes were fried extremely hard and had no season whatsoever, had it not been for the corn and sauce on top I would not had eaten them. When my husband met the manager he told him that the beef short ribs were slept on but I heard a server telling another guests it's a top seller. Which is it? Well I ordered the beef short ribs that came atop of mashed potatoes. The gravy made the potatoes soupy and the meat was so tasteless. I did send the mashed potatoes back and received a side order to which I believe they add four to their potatoes, not good. I'm not a salt person but Saturday I used salt and pepper which didn't help. My husband ordered two slabs of ribs with a baked potato. He raved about the baked potato and said the ribs were only okay. I took one bite of what he had given me and gave it back immediately. The ribs were not dry but the sauce made them nasty. This is not a place I would recommend. Two family member's were thankful that I went first so that they don't have to. They were both considering taking their significant other for Valentines Day but has since changed their mind. Chima is a much better option. read more

A friend highly recommended this restaurant and she hit the bullseye. We had reservations and were seated within a reasonable timeframe. Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The cheesy bread appetizer was perfect. The spicy tuna dinner was done just right - and the portion was unusually large for tuna tartare. The short ribs with mash were the perfect comfort food. My in-laws ordered the BBQ ribs with greens and were happy as well. The desserts were huge - enough to share or finish the next day. One of my absolutely favorite restaurants. The food is always incredible. They are known for their steaks and having a great char on them. Service has always been good and I've never had an issue. I actually enjoy sitting at the bar before heading to the table because the bar staff is nice and friendly. I must suggest the angry lobster for appetizer. It is my favorite! They also do scones for brunch where you get a variety if three and the options change from day to day. Don't leave without grabbing cheesecake or a cheesecake to-go. Also, if you like wine, give the blueberry port a try for dessert. read more

Friday the 13th at Webb Custom Kitchen Like most people, I don't normally leave reviews when everything goes as planned because that is what we have come to expect. For the last 8 years my wife and I have come to Webb for a Valentine's meal. We don't do it on Valentine's Day anymore because we do not like the fixed menu they offer. This year, unbeknownst to me, I made the reservation for Friday the 13th! I always make a note on Resy that we only want to sit in the lower level balcony and every year it has been honored without question. This year upon being seated we are directed to the projector room. I asked about my request and was told that it is only a suggestion and cannot be guaranteed. We agreed to wait until a balcony seat became available. Twenty minutes later our named is called and we are lead to a table on the floor near the bar. I ask our server to speak to a manager and within one minute I am face to face with one. I bring up my issue and she springs into action to seek a solution. Moments later a male manager asks us to follow him and takes us to a balcony seat because they have several that are open. I mentioned a lower level seat to which I was told they are reserved for a four top, but upon arriving all are two tops and continued to be with the exception of two of the tables for our entire experience. Our server arrives and begins to take our order. I always order the dry aged bone in cowboy ribeye and I request it to be cooked "blue." Every year that request has been honored. This year our server tells me that is considered medium rare and my wife corrects her that I said "blue" which is in fact less than rare. She repeats the order and proceeds to place it. The appetizer we shared was the angry lobster and it did not disappoint. We both ordered a Caesar salad and was confused with it was served in a parmesan bowl inside a regular bowl. The dressing was under what they were calling a parmesan tuille. You have to deconstruct the salad to reconstruct it to marry the salad to the dressing. The parmesan tuille was essentially a piece of rubber and inedible. It was finally time for our entrees to arrive and when they did I cut into my steak anticipating it to be cooked to order only to find was was medium rare. The server offered to take it back to correct, but I was already over the whole situation and knew I would be left waiting another 30 minutes while my wife's food grew colder on the plate. The flavor of the steak was acceptable, but the steak itself was extremely dry. It would normally melt in your mouth, but this time the more I chewed the bigger it got in my mouth. I actually got so disgusted that I was unable to finish my steak. We ordered dessert and the length of time it took to plate two pre-made desserts is almost equivalent to the amount of time to make one from scratch. That being said, they tasted delicious. Once we got our bill it was discovered that our server incorrectly input my steak as medium rare for which I reiterated twice that I wanted it cooked blue. It may be time for us to find a new Valentine's Day tradition even though this is the only one we have ever known. Maybe it was just a bad night. read more

It was my mom's birthday dinner. She picked this place out. She really likes it if that says anything..... I don't necessarily want to write a bad review, but I genuinely was not very impressed. We got the angry lobster which was not spicy and also tasted like it's been fried and really old oil. It had a really fishy flavor. I think that's what started me out a little rough. The tea selection was fabulous. They provide you with hot water all night, which I really appreciate. I also got the meatballs. Those were fabulous. Probably the best thing we ate all night and the cheapest. We ordered the ribeye and lamb chops. He got the ribeye, medium rare. I got the lamb chops rare. To be honest, the steak was very chewy and nothing that memorable. You can tell they're trying to cook them as quickly as possible so it tenses up the meat. I don't know if I'm just the luckiest girl in the world or what.... but my husband makes far better steaks. I had to cut everything into really small pieces in order to chew it. The service was good. I think they might be stressing their servers to be really tight and proper. Which I suppose is good if that's your thing. We definitely felt rushed out of there, though me and my partner were in the middle of eating when offered to go boxes. I just went ahead and said yes, not realizing that they were going to take my food and box it up right on the spot. As someone who worked in the service industry for years as I get that, you want to free up your tables, especially in a place like this. The customer shouldn't feel that though. I definitely won't come back. I didn't leave with bad feelings or anything. I just don't really think that it was that memorable. read more

Had an absolute amazing experience. I server Dalton was kind and super knowledgeable in giving us a rundown on the history of the beautiful building that the restaurant. This in turn, made our meal that much more enjoyable. I took my mom to celebrate her birthday. The food came out in great timing. Every dish was amazing flavored well And exceeded our expectations. Today we visited the Schiele Museum of Natural History & Planetarium and after looking at all the exhibits and watching the Beatles laser show we had worked up an appetite! We lucked out and were able to snag a table at this iconic restaurant 6 minutes away! We enjoyed lovely service and were able have a table overlooking the movie playing on the projector. This dining experience was incredibly unique and we enjoyed our cocktails and our meals. We had a great dinner but wanted to share a few things we noticed, for the Caesar salad, which was delicious (the cheese bowl its served in, is refrigerated till they put salad in it (it's too cold to be edible), the shrimp and grits (shrimp was over cooked and grits had some big inedible lumps), and the crème brûlée while made in house and good overall flavor, is refrigerated till served so the crème is cold while the freshly brûlée sugar was hot from the torch which isn't normal for this dessert. Other than these things, our dining experience and everything else we ordered was wonderful. Would recommend! read more

It was so fun watching the kitchen in action. I started with a French pear martini and my husband had an old-fashioned. That was probably the best martini I've had in a while. We started with the angry lobster and a wedge salad. The angry lobster was a little less angry this time, so it was much more enjoyable. My husband enjoyed the short ribs and potatoes, and added a side of the creamed spinach. The description our server game of the scallops special had me hooked. Four perfectly cooked Scallops came on top of a spinach risotto. Here is the only reason I cannot leave a five star review: risotto was a little too salty. My husband and I visited this location for our 20 year anniversary at the recommendation of his coworkers! What a surprise... let's start with they have valet parking! The dress code and atmosphere was accommodating to everyone. We got to sit at the top where we could see the movie screen... what a vibe. Now on to the meal. You can't miss with the angry lobster! I got the crab cake as my meal. Out of everything we ordered that was my least favorite. I love more crab and less bread. Again I lived in Maryland where big crab cakes were a thing! We had the creamed spinach, cheesy bread, short rib and all was delicious. My martini was amazing! Overall I'm so happy my husband choose this location for our anniversary! We chose balcony seating for this visit, which I highly recommend adding to your reservation notes to ensure availability. Balcony seating gives a perfect view of the massive movie screen and the open kitchen. Once seated, we were greeted by Melissa. She definitely reviewed my reservation because she called out the diet restriction immediately. Unlike any other time I've been to Webb, Melissa was able to suggest delicious vegan/vegetarian meal options beyond the menu. Melissa's recommendation was a hit! My daughter was absolutely thrilled with her meal. Melissa was extremely attentive and super professional. Amazing food and impeccable service!!! This place has amazing food and service every time! The wedge salad here is amazing. We also got the cheese bread starter and it is a must order! So delicious and cheesy! I had the filet medallions and they were cooked more medium than medium rare but still delicious! I enjoyed admiring the creative decor and its homage to the original theater. The big screen playing Turner Classic Movies was also a classy touch. For lunch I chose the French onion soup and wedge salad. Both exceeded my expectations. The wedge had a generous amount of blue cheese on it, which I greatly appreciated.
