This is a cool little restaurant in an area with not many good food choices. I enjoyed the amazing service! My waitress was awesome! The food was tasty and the lunch deal was a pretty good value. I don't come to this area often but next time I do I will definitely return!

I highly recommend! First and foremost wonderful service from Alex my bartender!! She was amazing. I sat at the bar which offered plenty of seating and it was exceptionally clean in the restaurant! I ordered only an appetizer, Bang bang cauliflower, which was cooked deliciously!! I can't wait to return to try some more items!!

Yo, I've driven past this place for a long time going to visit family in Gastonia and always thought it looked fun. So, I asked a friend to check them out for brunch with me. We came on a busy Saturday and were able to grab seats at the bar. Tasha was our bartender and she was super sweet and very attentive! We had such a good time and a great meal!! I ordered one of their salads and added chicken, wings, whiskey and a beer. I also tasted my friends garbage fries, I think that was the name lol. EVERYTHING was so so yummy!!! They had a really good menu selection too. I really enjoyed this spot and highly recommend it. It's a lively spot and all the staff we encountered was happy and smiling! I'll be going back soon actually!!

Another find thanks to Yelp, and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. It's slightly tucked away off Franklin/Wilkinson, but it's worth the "find". All the food was super fresh, tasty, and the portions were huge! Everything we ordered was great, and you could tell there was an element of scratch cooked goodness. Highly recommend starting with the bang bang cauliflower or the sprouts! We had a wonderful attentive server who know the menu well. Don't let the outside of this place fool you, it is solid inside! We will certainly be back.

This spot is absolutely fantastic for breakfast and lunch! They serve the best sandwiches, delicious French toast, and incredible cheese grits. I haven't ordered a single item on the menu that I wouldn't order again! Plus, you can enjoy a flight of mimosas! While it's a tucked away location, a little hole in the wall, they get crowded and the wait can be frustrating when you see open tables but the service is always really good.

We were on a road trip through NC, and Groovy Beast was such a pleasant surprise. Everyone here was really friendly. Great vibes overall. We went on a Saturday around noon and we were seated immediately. They have a lot of brunch options on the weekend. I had a veggie omelette with a side of fries. The portions were generous and the flavors were on point. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd gladly come back.

Jackpot!!! We found a wonderful restaurant in Gastonia, NC!!! What a wonderful dining experience we had at this groovy, cool vibes local place. The service was wonderful!!! We enjoyed every bite that we had of our food. We went with the suggestions of our server, Bree. Who suggested we try the daily specials. It was perfect for us!!! We would definitely return!!

We went for brunch. The food and service were good. The drinks were awesome! Can't wait to go back to try lunch

Holy cow talk about a hidden gem in Gastonia! We loved everything we had but the sliders were our favorite - balanced and melt in your mouth perfect.

Service was excellent, very clean dining area. I was very disappointed with my burger. Ordered the Swiss Mushroom Burger special. Not a lot of meat and the sauce did not add anything to the flavor. Fries were obviously from a bag of frozen.

Chicken crunch, wrap, and power bowl both were excellent

Very trendy spot. Ample parking. Extremely friendly staff. Food came quickly, large, unique, menu choices. Everything we ordered was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Groovy Beast is tucked back from the road with plenty of parking. The atmosphere is no frills with a neat vibe. The menu is simple burgers and sandwiches and a variety of alcoholic choices offering something for everyone. We went with the Reuben and Clubber Lang and both were perfectly toasted and delicious. The onion rings are the bomb and one order is enough for two to share. Service was great! The only negative is the noise level is painfully loud which is beyond the control of the establishment but, note worthy if you are thinking of having a conversation while you eat.

Dropped by for a bite and went with the double burger, cheddar cheese, and the usual suspects--tomato, onion, and lettuce. First impression? This thing was massive. Looked like a beast on the plate, but once you bite in, it's a bit of a different story. Flavor was just... fine. Not bad, not great--definitely not something you'll be daydreaming about later. The patty leaned on the overcooked side, which didn't help the overall juiciness or texture. That said, the meat-to-bun ratio was on point, and structurally, it held up well without turning into a soggy mess. If you're hungry and nearby, sure, go for it. Just don't expect a life-changing burger. Service was pretty slow, but goos ambiance at the place, would go again

This is our second visit here, and our first time with the dinner menu. There were lots of great choices! We tried the hush puppies appetizer and the deviled eggs to start. Great presentation and delicious. For entrees we went with the chicken and gravy, fish tacos and the love bug smash burger. Huge portions and really really good. We were very full afterward. We wanted to have a little more leisurely time there, maybe try a dessert, but we had to be at an event, so there was a time constraint. Overall, this is a great spot in downtown Belmont. Also, this is Jonas family owned restaurant so check out all the music memorabilia by the restrooms.

We started with the pimento cheese fries, which were easily the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and set a great first impression. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The service was noticeably slow, and our food took quite a while to arrive. I ordered the fried chicken, and it was significantly overcooked. The chicken was dry, and the breading was so dark it was just shy of being burnt. The mashed potatoes on the side were good, but they couldn't make up for the quality of the main dish. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak with roasted carrots. The steak itself was quite good, but the carrots never arrived with the meal. They were brought out long after we had finished eating, which made them feel like an afterthought. For dessert, my wife chose the peach cobbler. It appeared to be served with ice cream, but by the time it reached the table, the ice cream had completely melted. The dessert looked more like peach cobbler floating in a bowl of melted ice cream than a properly plated dessert. Whether it sat too long before being served or was prepared incorrectly, it was not particularly appealing. The one bright spot throughout the evening was our server. He was attentive, checked on us regularly, and kept our drinks refilled. Unfortunately, good service alone wasn't enough to overcome the slow pace and disappointing food quality. Based on this visit, the overall dining experience was subpar. Aside from the pimento cheese fries and a few individual items, the meal did not live up to expectations.

Fun to see the old theater and the kids with us enjoyed looking around. The music was a little loud, but we did let the server know and they did turn it down for us. We had a group 8. The food was good, maybe a little small in portions. We almost all ordered the crab cake Benedict and the ham Benedict. We also ordered the cheesecake, the crème brûlée and the coconut cake. They were all really good, but I would note the crème brûlée had I believe tea in it? It wasn't just a traditional flavor but it was delicious! I do want to comment on experience. I was with my 8 month old son, who can't eat runny eggs. I ordered the crab cake Benedict and I asked to swap the poached egg to scrambled egg so I could share with my son. The server let me know he was going to check with the chef. He came back right before the plate was dropped off and said "The chef will not be doing that substitution for you". I acknowledge this is an abnormal substitution for eggs Benedict, but I was surprised and disappointed that the chef couldn't make this simple accommodation.
