The food was good. Everything was made fresh. They have a large menu with plenty of options to choose from. Unfortunately service was a bit slow and Lack-Luster, with our server more interested in chatting with people they knew instead of bringing out food, refills or checks. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyed some wonderful lunch with my wife. We had a Cuban Wrap and Cuban Chop Chop (pork, rice n beans, sweet plantains etc..) For Desert we had flans (egg custard with caramel sauce) and shot of Cuban Cafe. Everything was fresh hot and on point, Thatcher (attendant) was positive and cheerful like usual and got our orders and food with grace and speed (Thatcher is the Best!)
My honest review on Miami Fusion Cafe Lowell NC . My husband took me out to get a nice dinner. Mia was our server, and she was so darned sweet. You all know if you read my reviews that I ask many questions to my servers, lol. Well, she was informative, and if she didn't know something, she would find out for me. We looked over the menus, and I, being a coffee lover , asked about the "café con leche," which, interestingly enough, is served with a shot of espresso and a side of a big glass of steamed milk . As a Puerto Rican , this is not how I usually drink "café con leche," but I thought it was pretty cool because it allows the customer to add the right amount of milk they want. (I can drink strong coffee and go right to sleep .) I also ordered a guava and cheese "pastelito" and a beef one. My only regret is not having tried them while they were fresh and hot. The guava and cheese was so yummy, especially with my (again, I'm Puerto Rican and this is a favorite of ours). The beef "pastelito" was interestingly made in a pastry that we Caribbean people usually don't use, but I kind of liked it. My only complaint about the beef one was that I felt it needed more of the flavor I was looking for that it had, but not a lot. We went on to order the chicharrón (pork belly rind) as an appetizer and our main course. The chicharrón came out, and it was pretty darn good. We used the sauces they provided and really enjoyed it with a nice squeeze of the provided lime. For my main course, I ordered the Churrasco (grilled flank steak served with chimichurri sauce) with a side of congrí (black beans and rice mixed). I will tell you congrí is one of my favorite types of rice, and goodness this honestly was the best I've had. My husband just wanted a side of "gallo pinto" (similar to congrí but with kidney beans). He tried my congrí and I tried his "gallo pinto." The congrí won, and also something to note was that the kidney beans were still not fully cooked, so they were chalky. I got a Piña Colada (another Caribbean drink well-known in ) as a drink as well, and Mia informed me that they make the mix in-house. This is great because a lot of the restaurants I've gone to buy pre-made mixes are disgusting. I asked Mia if I could speak to the chef because, to be honest, that food was so good, and I like hearing from the ones who cook these dishes. Eduardo is the chef who was there, and he was so awesome to speak to. Seeing that he knows Cuban cuisine is amazing, especially when he told us he is from Honduras . The authentic flavors really came through in the food made. I asked about other sauces and the bread. They have various sauces, which we will be trying next time. I was told the bread and coffee are brought in from Florida, which is pretty cool. Me being Puerto Rican , I got excited to find out I can get a loaf of Cuban bread to go. All in all, it was such a pleasant experience. Oh, and the ambiance of the place is perfect. Let's say the other patrons probably heard me crowing (singing like a crazy woman ). Great music, great food, great staff= GREAT PLACE!!!
Ok so I've been to the Denver location and it was ok. I gave that location a decent review based on my experience with Cuban food. But this location gets 1 star and I'll elaborate why. Nothing annoys me more than greed! When businesses try to nickel and dime their customers. They have natural juices available for $5.00 a glass. And since WE ALL KNOW the tactic of loading the cup with ice that most restaurants use, I said "NO ICE" When I received my drink, I kid you not I thought the guy took a gulp out of my drink! That's how much juice was missing! When I asked him where's the rest of the juice he said "you said NO ICE" so they intentionally don't fill your glass even though they're charging you $5.00 for a glass! GREEDY owners always go out of business.
There is a lot to say about the service we had during my first visit to this restaurant, the waitress took the first order and didn't come back until the food was ready to be served for the guest that ordered ahead of time, we placed our order after the first guest started eating theirs then when my order came it was the wrong item. The toston was overcooked. We requested plates to eat the dessert, we brought and started eating it because by that point everyone was hangry. The restaurant seems to have potential because we do not have many Caribbean restaurants in the area. Hoping the staff gets more experience for future clients.

Place is decent enough me thinks. I do wish the bread pudding was a bit more substantial like la tortas are. The medianoches and Cuban sandwiches are very tasty, definitely worth a gander. Why is there a pentagram looming above the building across the street?! Ay díos!
We're so happy to have this beautiful restaurant in Lowell. The service was friendly and knowledgeable on all aspects of the menu. I ordered the ropa vieja, yuca frita, and the miami club. I'll be coming back for karaoke and live music.

The sandwiches were absolutely phenomenal, like probably a top 10 sandwich Ive had. The sides (plantains and pasta salad) were subpar. Also weird complaint but it was super cold in the building. read more

Excellent food and service! We were very impressed with this place. The staff was super friendly from walking in the door to walking out. Service was on point! The food was outstanding! This place is a fantastic and delicious. They have great offerings on their menu at a fair price. The food was full of flavor. The service was top notch and we received our food with minimal wait. The black beans were full of flavor. They may be the best beans I have ever tried. Look for the flamingos outside and go onside for a colorful time. The vibes were bright and cheery. I highly recommend you try this place. read more

The Ambiance is definitely Miami loved it went for breakfast. the breakfast menu extremely limited that might be why the entire menu is available all day so that was a plus. We were there on Friday the staff was very pleasant. We were told that they would have a live music later and that it may or may not be ongoing for Friday nights that's Great to know. My sandwich was a decent Cuban sandwich no complaints. I was told the breakfast bowl was just alright he said he wouldn't order it again beans needed more flavor. We will definitely go back to try them for dinner read more

Excellent sandwich, huge portion - twice as much as I usually get. Next time I'm going for their lunch special cause 1/2 a Cuban is the size of a whole one at the places I go in CLT. Super nice staff, wish I'd tried the pastries (they looked great). Also clean inside, even in the bathrooms, and super cute decor/ambiance. Def recommend read more

It's great to find a new Cuban restaurant near me in Lowell, NC. I've gone to the original one in Denver, NC. This place is so good and clean. The food is amazing. Coming from Miami,... I recommend this place. The customer service is top tier and second to none. read more

Heard about Miami Fusion from a friend and decided to pop in to give it a try. Close parking is limited being downtown but, there are plenty of options along the side of the building and street parking on the right side. We came in to the bar side of the restaurant and were warmly greeted by staff behind the bar. Someone quickly came out and got us seated on the dining side. There were tables available in the bar if we wished. The dining area had a great vibe. Simple tastes with a strong nod to Cuba. Loved it! Our server arrived in a blink and got us settled in and drinks on the way. The hospitality here was top notch. We made our selections and the food came out quickly. Both the sandwich and the entree were amazing! Don't miss out on this authentic taste of Cuba! You will not be disappointed. read more
