Salvadorian Plate, Rice/Beans, Chicken, Skirt Steak, Shrimp, (they forgot the sausage), Pupusa, Plantains, Slaw, (Diced Tomato), avocado.

1st time here. I pass this place on my way to the gym so decided to try it tonight. I enjoyed the food. It was good. The service was friendly but the waitress just didn't do a good job at all and spent most of the time behind the bar and there were no other customers except for another table that had a different waitress. I had to go to her 3 times for a refill, to request the check, and again to then give her the check with payment since she never returned back to the table. The dish includes sausage which they forgot. The chips were not that good but the Salvadorian Plate was very good and well made. The plate has all Grilled Variety of Skirt Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Rice and Beans, Pupusa, Avocado, Cheese, and Fried Plantains. Can't go wrong with this meal that feeds 2 people easily.

Delicious yeast bread. I like the crunch.

This is a quiet spot right beside Carolina Rent to Own. We could smell the aromas from the store next door and my fiance and I decided to give it a try. My fiance ordered the marinated chicken and sides and it was seasoned well and tender. I ordered the Ceviche which is a cold dish. I didnt know it was cold which was disappointing and the waitress didnt mention it. The dish would be great for a hope summer day. Overall nice place to try, will I return? Probably not.

    They have a great breakfast...

My experience was good. I've been here twice for breakfast and I liked it both times. Friendly service, quality tableware, good fresh coffee, the food was delicious and fresh. Pupusas seemed made right before they came to my table. Good prices. They seem to care about the place. I'll be back.

How the Copan Restaurant lost stars on this review: #1 - If I have to ask the waitress to bring chips and salsa to the table!! (never experienced that before) #2 - My beverage is empty and you don't even bother to ask if I would like a refill or even a glass of water to wash down your spicy food. (nearly choked to death). #3 - I made a request for a utensil from another waitress because mine NEVER CAME BACK and I'm still waiting on the utensil from the 2nd waitress. #4 - My waitress totally abandoned me! I had to go and get YOU to pay for my meal. SMH! The food was OK and that's all. I know those tamales I had were not prepared properly. Are they supposed to be soppy wet with what I think is grease? I mean, what happened here? It felt like they picked this restaurant up out of Los Angeles and plopped it right down in Charlotte. Yeah, I felt like I was right back at home with the rest of the rude folks. Copan your customer service is SHOT! As Chris Tucker said in the movie Friday, I will Never, Never, eva, Eva, EVA come back to this restaurant again. EVA, EVA!!!!

I always passed this restaurant but never thought to stop. However,I visited Copan Restaurant with a colleague for lunch and was pleased.I can't recall the exact name of my meal but it consisted of rice, black beans, and steak. My steak was seasoned to perfection and the sides added the "final touch" of flavoring.I will be back again for lunch!

Muy seco y pequeño. Creo que pusieron el mío en el microondas después de que alguien lo masticara.

After one meal here, we understood why. Calle Sol has a cool laid back vibe, great service, strong mojitos, and food that absolutely delivers. The ceviche is the star for a reason. Super fresh with bright flavor, and the crispy plantains alongside it were the perfect seafood fish combo. The skinny spicy margarita with the tajín rim and mojitos were excellent too. Our favorite was the Cuban rice. Rich flavor with this aioli on top that made everyone at the table keep stealing bites from each other. The vaca frita (beef) had great flavor with crispy edges done right, and the banana tres leches dessert was flat out dangerous. Easily enough for three people unless your family has zero self control. We don't really have Cuban food like this back home, so this felt like a treat. Safe to say our daughter picked a winner. We'll definitely be back next trip to Charlotte.

Pisco sour: definitely taste the alcohol. I enjoyed it. A little sweet. Not really sour or I couldn't taste it. Chichamora: spiced drink. Light tangy fruity flavor. Like a light punch. Fried yucca and cheesy: 4 stars. Yummy yucca balls filled with cheeses you have to eat hot for the gooey cheesiness but be careful because the are hot. Make sure to eat with the dip for next level flavor. Shrimp ceviche: 3.5 stars. Different toppings provided different flavors (I.e. crunchy corn, sweet potatoes, salty plaintains chips, & soft corn kernels) texture but I wished there was more shrimp and a slight more acidity or lime juice. Also some of the fried corn kernels were burnt so it had bitter taste. Vaca Frita:Garlic/onion shredded braised beef. 4.5 stars. Came with beans, rice, and yucca mash. Overall the flavors were good and I really enjoyed it.

The staff primarily speaks Spanish as a heads up but can serve you in english as well. The Spanish honestly makes the experience even better & me & my friend got to practice the language. ANYWAY, I ordered the pollo con crema & they got the Pupusas. The cream from the pollo con crema is so flavorful that honestly if they sold just the sauce I would buy it. I tend to avoid beans but my first scoop of them made me speak out "This is good!" . Beans, two tortillas, lettuce & bell peppers & rice come on this dish to make something magical lol. The pupusas are primarily made of cheese but it is good cheese lol. If you happen to be a vegetarian & a cheese lover have you a order of that.

Upon entrance, I enjoyed how open the restaurant seemed and felt immersed by the ambiance which the restaurant gave off. We were quickly seated and looked through the menu for a meal. I ended up opting for the tacos and they were delicious. Too often do restaurants skimp on the meat portion but this restaurant gave a bountiful amount. I got to try their Pollo con tajadas which were just as good, if not better than the authentic Honduran street food. For it being Christmas, all the staff was more than happy to be there and to serve the many customers who were also looking for some food. All in all, I'm so glad to have found this restaurant which serves delicious hispanic food and look forward to coming back in the future.

Just today I found a hair inside my tortilla, meaning it was in the batch of masa. When I brought it up, the only thing that was discounted was my Coke. Which is not the point but there could've been a better effort made to right the situation. It's disappointing because the food is good but I can't comfortably return due to the lack of hygiene.

When I initially visited (in their first couple of months after opening) I was super in love with this place. Unfortunately every experience after that has been super inconsistent. I've ordered their seafood sancocho three times and every single time I've gotten a different dish. The last time I ordered it - it was more so vegetables with 2 teaspoons of broth, some rice and old fried yucca. If you look at the photo - I believe you can tell the yucca looks like it'd been in the fridge for days and they just threw it in there for good measure. The waiter didn't smile and generally looked miserable to have to deal with me. I asked for hot sauce that never came. Just overall, really disappointed in my last experience here and unfortunately won't be retuning due to how inconsistent my last few visits have been. You might get something that tastes decent, you might not.
