Such a cute spot right in the heart of downtown Belmont. Learning about Belmont and seeing of it is a good spot for my parents to move and going here made them feel great and welcomed! Staff was super nice and walked around and had great conversations about Nellie's. I will love to come back again!

A yelp find that we chose because it was on the way to the airport and had detailed reviews that made it look interesting. By far some of the best green beans I've ever eaten! The okra was very fresh and just as good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and our server was very sweet and attentive.

Food was tasty wish my chicken portion was larger but it was delicious. Hubby said his meatloaf was solid and the deviled eggs were good. We sat on the upstairs deck and I wished I saw the sign that it was dog friendly because there were two large dogs who were barking and really close to us. They did have fans and that helped with the heat. The waitress was nice and she had the whole patio by herself waitressing and bartending. Because my food was cold and my portion was small I'm giving it 4 stars but I would give it a chance again.

This was my first time here ! I finally was able to try this restaurant- I loved the ambience, service, and the food was delicious! I was able to have lunch, need to come back for the breakfast. I was with a group but was only able to take pic of my food cause by the time I needed to take pics they devoured their food lol - definitely recommend! Also wanted sweet potato fries BUT they ran out of- that was unfortunate.

If you're looking for a spot that feels like a Pinterest board coming to life this is it! The vibe is industrial meets farmhouse rustic, and the Belmont community clearly treats this place like a collective living room ! The best part of the night wasn't even the food but a teenage performer who was amazing on stage very talented young man I'm sure he'll go far! As for the food. It was a solid good not great I ordered the chicken and dumplings, which turned out to be more dumpling with a little bit of chicken it was tasty, but definitely could've used a sprinkle of salt and a few more chunks of chicken. The hubby ordered Cajun shrimp loved the flavor, but the sauce was a bit too rich and it became too much to handle after a few bites, Our waitress, an absolute gem!!! We wrapped things up with peach cobbler which was more miss than hit - we're crust people, and this was light on the breading and had a mysterious aftertaste that we couldn't quite pin down. We should've got the chocolate chip cookie like our waitress suggested next time we'll know, and there will be a next time. Loved the experience overall!

Their chicken & waffles were so good! Workers friendly. The coolest parts were the live music and interior decor. Only negative was the small waiting area (some people had to stand).

I've had this place on my radar for quite some time and finally had the opportunity to try it. We sat upstairs on the roof top patio which is perfect this time of year. We started with the deviled eggs which have a (mild) pickled okra on top. While good, I'm not sure they're worth the price tag. However, the basket of biscuits definitely is worth it and I loved the pepper jelly jam that came on the side. I ordered the wedge that comes with fruit on it and it was excellent with balsamic, plenty of toppings.

Grits and shrimp was on point.

Service was outstanding, food was outstanding. Being a visitor from out of town I would definitely recommend this spot for some good soul food

If you love good Southern food or the Jonas Brothers, you absolutely need to check this place out. I know that sentence is a little confusing. Hear me out. Nellie's is a slightly upscale, Southern comfort food place. It gives you that home-y feel in terms of the staff's friendliness, the warm atmosphere, and the great food, while also feeling like a a bit of a treat yourself kind of place. I got the chicken and dumplings and Mac and cheese, both of which were delicious. Now for the JoBros part. It's owned by the family of the Jonas Brothers, and inspired by their great-grandmother. But if you're not a fan of theirs, don't worry. The restaurant isn't Jonas Brothers themed. You wouldn't even know until you get into the hallway leading to the bathroom, which is covered in really cool Jonas Brothers pictures and memorabilia. As a fan, I really loved it. I had no idea of the connection when I got to the restaurant, and it was such a fun surprise to an already awesome dinner!

Party of 5 was immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance was very modern and appealing. Everything was clean fresh and the decor was that of an upscale establishment. The service was amazing and the manager was super attentive and friendly. The food was brought out fresh and everything was to everyone's liking from the appetizers to the main entrees of burgers and fried catfish. I will definitely return if in the area to try different dishes.

Service was great, attentive and hospitable. Food was great, the fried chicken is great, no wonder why they are known nationwide for it. Collards were amazing, macaroni was good. This restaurant is owned by the father of the Jonas Brothers, really a gem.

We had a pre-holiday weeknight dinner at Nellie's before heading to see the lights in McAdenville. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Loved the custom cotton light fixture at the bar. The food was incredible!! We started with some biscuits and they were so flaky and delicious. The cinnamon butter that came with them was just so good. Yum!! We opted for fried chicken (dark meat) and different sides of macaroni and cheese, collards, and fries. I've been to a lot of Southern restaurants and this fried chicken is in my top 5 for sure. So nice and light not over breaded. The chicken was moist and tender and cooked perfectly. The sides were so good too!! We wanted to try dessert but we were too full to even attempt. Service was great. Very attentive but not pushy. We never had to wait for drink refills or anything else. Our server was friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in town.

It's not a terrible drive from Fort Mill, SC, about 45 minute on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to park right in front of the Venue and my ticket was waiting at will call. A smooth and easy check-in and I was able to talk to Todd before the show. I've seen him several times when he collaborates with other musicians but this was the first time solo. He played a mix of originals and covers. After several songs others joined him for several songs. They were all great on a Dave Mason original, Feelin Alright. Many know the song from the Joe Cocker cover. The band was great, Todd with some great guitar licks and a lead riff, the bass player was laying the line, the drummer on time and the keyboard player, Bazz The GranDude, with a nice mini-solo. Very impressed with the lady on the mixing board. She was out front on her iPad and got the vocal & instrument mix solid. It was a fun time and I hope to return before the summers done.

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

The guy even explained that he wanted to meet the band after and have them sign his poster. Too bad. They sent various other people back to their cars for other minor things too. They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We weren't bothering anyone or causing problems, but apparently having fun in a different way than the people doing the same routine over and over again was an issue. The lack of space awareness on the dance floor was ridiculous. People were literally pushing others out of the way/off the dance floor just so they could have more room to dance. People were constantly bumping into our chairs, and not once would they apologize or even acknowledge that they had hit someone. If you looked at them afterward because they had just slammed into your chair, they would actually give you an attitude and become rude toward you. The whole atmosphere felt incredibly cliquey and hostile. Instead of people being respectful and making room for each other, it felt like certain regulars believed they owned the dance floor and everyone else needed to get out of their way. And then there's the fact that they do the same line dance to practically every song. There's barely any variety, so if you aren't interested in doing the exact same routine over and over again, there really isn't much else to enjoy. For a place that is supposed to be about dancing and having a good time, there was a surprising lack of basic courtesy and respect. Between being told we couldn't have a dance circle, people pushing others off the floor, constantly bumping into chairs without apologizing, and the rude attitudes when you dared to look at them, we definitely won't be coming back.
