One of the best places in Charlotte to see live music, period. Great atmosphere, great alcohol selection (all you need is PBR anyway, so wtf do you care?), and I already mentioned great music. Go to the Milestone.

Great music venue, awesome drinks and staff. They always have awesome bands playing. It's also great that they have their own parking lot.

Since new renovations, the patio is very spacious and clean and the inside has higher ceilings and fresh walls ready to be covered with more stickers and graffiti by bands to come through the venue.

They have tons of local bands too that are just starting so another great way to support local artists. We came for the Tantric concert but heard a couple opening bands that were fantastic! It's not a terrible drive from Fort Mill, SC, about 45 minute on a Sunday afternoon. I was able to park right in front of the Venue and my ticket was waiting at will call. A smooth and easy check-in and I was able to talk to Todd before the show. I've seen him several times when he collaborates with other musicians but this was the first time solo. He played a mix of originals and covers. After several songs others joined him for several songs. They were all great on a Dave Mason original, Feelin Alright. Many know the song from the Joe Cocker cover. The band was great, Todd with some great guitar licks and a lead riff, the bass player was laying the line, the drummer on time and the keyboard player, Bazz The GranDude, with a nice mini-solo. Very impressed with the lady on the mixing board. She was out front on her iPad and got the vocal & instrument mix solid. It was a fun time and I hope to return before the summers done.

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

We found parking a couple of blocks away for free. Security was easy to get through. They have lawn seating or actual seats. Lots of beverage stations, also some food trucks. We had great seats right in front of the stage, but honestly there's not a bad seat here as it's not a huge venue. Ticket prices are kinda steep as are the alcohol beverages served up in a plastic cup. I guess that's the norm these days though. I paid $100 for 2 beers and 2 mixed drinks. Sound was really good for the concert, it ran on time and overall was a great show. Located at The Bowl in Ballantyne where there are plenty of eating and drinking places. Great venue!

There are many more alcohol options. I'm not a beer drinker but I saw the prices: the least expensive domestic was $16.50 24 oz. They go up from there for imports and craft beers. They have food tucks as well. They have easily accessible bathrooms but they are SMALL. The ladies line was SO Long but the men's seemed to be much shorter and was moving quickly. The men's was very SMALL. Susan and I were there to see String Cheese Incident. It was not sold out but well attended. LADIES must have your purse checked for size. no larger than 6" X 9" otherwise you CANNOT enter. The other option is bring a plastic see through at 12" X 12". You go through security gates then another line to get your wrist band. We had reserved seating row O section 221 and tix were a little over $100 bucks with fees/taxes. I thought the acoustics were good and the stage was very large and easily viewable angles. Parking can be a challenge, I found the BOYLE garage about 2 blocks away was FREE.

Unless you arrive early before the music starts, the parking is terrible there and sometimes I feel unsafe to walk through those alleys in the dark alone. However the guard to the place has given me the worst impression without respect or common sense a few times that discouraging me to go there again. When I asked my friends if they experienced that, a few even said they had never been asked to show ID to go into the place. Perhaps we are Asian female and look strange. At one time, my friend came from other state and left her driver license in the car at my home. She showed that she had a copy of ID, We are all beyond 50's, the security said she had to have the real driver license. Come on give us a break? We had to drive home to get it. Last night, I went there myself, not only this guard examined my driver's license to see if that's real, check my bag and even asked me to open my jacket that was just an pullover. What authorities did he had? That's an insult to a female. Should this place hire a female guard for female as well? Someone is wrong with those guys.
