This place has a rather unassuming exterior but inside is a really laid back (sort of old school 1990s vibe) restaurant and bar with pool and a medium stage. The bartender is very approachable, easy to talk with, and highly competent. Ok, so the hamburgers here are incredible. I'd go so far as to say that the burgers at Pineville Tavern are the best in the greater Charlotte area. I hear the chef is from New Orleans. If so, that makes sense, because the flavor and texture is A+. As for a side, I recommend the tater tots.

I must admit that I was more than a little skeptical when a friend suggested I give this place a shot, as I can definitely see how the outside appearance of the place could come off as a little rough and uninviting to some, but let me tell you that this place is the exact definition of don't judge a book by its' cover, as I was welcomed from the time I stepped in and felt like part of the family from start to finish. The service was very welcoming and friendly, the wings and burgers were well cooked with a lot of flavor, the people were cool and personable even though I looked different than anyone else in the place for the most part. After my initial skepticism wore off, I felt completely comfortable having a few beers and dinner at the bar, so much so that I came back a few nights later for karaoke. I must admit that this isn't Southend or NoDa karaoke, so if that is what you are looking for, you won't find it here, but if you want a low key, fun and memorable experience where first timers are welcomed without judgment and without the parking hassles and fraternity row vibe of some other places with karaoke nights around town, then definitely check out Friday night karaoke as you will have a blast!

Staff was rude. Food was awful. Burger patty was a good size but tasteless. Bun was soggy. French fries were limp and rubbery.

Very basic food that you can make at home. But it's cheap. Definitely a throwback to the 1980's or 90's.

We found parking a couple of blocks away for free. Security was easy to get through. They have lawn seating or actual seats. Lots of beverage stations, also some food trucks. We had great seats right in front of the stage, but honestly there's not a bad seat here as it's not a huge venue. Ticket prices are kinda steep as are the alcohol beverages served up in a plastic cup. I guess that's the norm these days though. I paid $100 for 2 beers and 2 mixed drinks. Sound was really good for the concert, it ran on time and overall was a great show. Located at The Bowl in Ballantyne where there are plenty of eating and drinking places. Great venue!

There are many more alcohol options. I'm not a beer drinker but I saw the prices: the least expensive domestic was $16.50 24 oz. They go up from there for imports and craft beers. They have food tucks as well. They have easily accessible bathrooms but they are SMALL. The ladies line was SO Long but the men's seemed to be much shorter and was moving quickly. The men's was very SMALL. Susan and I were there to see String Cheese Incident. It was not sold out but well attended. LADIES must have your purse checked for size. no larger than 6" X 9" otherwise you CANNOT enter. The other option is bring a plastic see through at 12" X 12". You go through security gates then another line to get your wrist band. We had reserved seating row O section 221 and tix were a little over $100 bucks with fees/taxes. I thought the acoustics were good and the stage was very large and easily viewable angles. Parking can be a challenge, I found the BOYLE garage about 2 blocks away was FREE.

It was cold outside, but it was even colder inside the restaurant, to the point where it felt like sitting in a freezer. It honestly made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Food-wise, we ordered a variety of items. Some people got pita dishes, others ordered pasta and pizza. One person really liked the eggplant spaghetti, while another didn't care for the sauce, so opinions were mixed. A few people did enjoy their pizzas. I ordered a Greek salad with blackened chicken. I'd rate it about a 5 out of 10, very mid. The salad included cranberries, which was an interesting addition. Not bad, just unexpected. The blackened chicken didn't seem well-seasoned, so it wasn't very impressive overall. On a positive note, the service was good. Our server was friendly and attentive, and I didn't have any issues there. Parking was also plentiful and easy, which is always a plus. Overall, the biggest issue for me was how cold the restaurant was. It was so uncomfortable that it really affected my experience. We might go back again as a group at some point, but I wouldn't go back on my own, and definitely not unless it's warmer inside.

The quaint theatre boasts beautiful stained glass windows and comfy seats and the cozy community theatre vibe where no seat in the house is a bad one. We were on the front row center this time and loved it! The actors in this production were spot on and I loved the OCT adaption of the book/movie. The comedic moments had us laughing, but the serious moments were quite powerful in this intimate setting, and even though I knew the story, found myself leaning towards the stage waiting to see what was next! Visit the website for upcoming plays and patronize this precious hometown gem, you won't be disappointed! There is local artwork for sale in the lobby and light refreshments offered as well for reasonable prices. For every play I've attended at least part of the cast is mingling with the patrons following the play and I just adore that! So fun to chat with them and share your thoughts about that night's production. I can't wait to go back soon...seriously - check it out! It's not fancy but full of charm, not pricey but well worth the ticket price and not broadway, but an awesome way to spend a couple of hours and support local actors and musicians - what more can you ask for?

I will say the place could definitely use some TLC, as it is very old and slowly deteriorating and falling apart on the inside. Aside from that, we've never had any problems here. There's ample parking, lots of seating and space inside, clean bathrooms, and the prices are low and realistic, which is a huge plus!
