A2 Moving - Long Beach

I was recommended to A2 moving by a friend. They did not disappoint! Tim and Johnny did an amazing…read morejob and I was impressed with their care and efficiency throughout. I had multiple large items: a couch, queen mattress, dining table, office table, concrete coffee table. They transferred everything without issue and made sure wrap everything in plastic wrap and blankets. They even helped make a midway stop to pick up additional items at a separate location. Would definitely work with them again!

Everything was fine with the move until it came to moving my TV. The movers claimed that the TV was…read morealready broken, even though it was working the morning of the move and the night before. They stated that they always ask customers to turn on their TVs before loading them onto the truck. However, they did not ask me to do this, nor did they follow that procedure with the smaller TV in my bedroom. What I also don't understand is why I would ask them to move a broken 70-inch TV in the first place. If I knew the TV was already broken, there would have been no reason for me to pay movers to transport a large, broken TV to my new home. When I tried to discuss the situation with the owner/manager, the conversation unfortunately became confrontational. He raised his voice, became defensive, and accused me of lying about the TV working before the move. Moving is already expensive, and I don't believe it's fair that I should now have to cover the cost of replacing a TV that was working before the move. I have since submitted a formal damage claim with the company and filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS). I hope we can come to a fair resolution. I also want to make it clear that I am not looking for any of the individual movers who helped us to face unnecessary consequences. They were friendly and otherwise did a great job with our move. I simply want the situation handled fairly and to be compensated for my damaged TV. I understand that accidents can happen during a move and that sometimes things get damaged. If the damage had been caused by something I did, I would absolutely take responsibility for it. I'm only asking that the same accountability be shown here and that we can come to a fair resolution.

I hope that Dragon Moving takes accountability for their movers error and fully reimburse me for the repairs. More to follow. Im changing my rating from 1 star to 5 star. Other than the the incident, Dragon Moving has been great and based on our interactions I would use their services again. Thank you Sam for your prompt response.

While the three-person moving crew was polite and ultimately completed the job, my overall…read moreexperience with this company was disappointing due to a severe lack of efficiency, physical capability, and care. First, the crew arrived in a graffiti-covered truck, which set an unprofessional tone from the start. Furthermore, the three movers were physically undersized and completely ill-equipped for the demands of a 2,700-square-foot home move. Throughout the day, they visibly struggled with the heavy lifting. Despite me providing the exact details and dimensions of my home beforehand, it took them 3 hours just to clear my house, and another 5 hours to unload at my new residence. They worked at a noticeably slow pace and lacked the strength and technique expected of professional movers. Care and attention to detail were also significant issues. During the move, they ripped up the laminate floor transition bars in a couple of areas. While they did attempt to fix the damage after I pointed it out, I had to supply the Gorilla Glue for the repair myself. A specific warning for potential customers: do not let their "no stair cost" clause sway your decision. In my experience, they offset this promotion by milking the hourly clock, moving intentionally slow, and frequently complaining about the weight of standard items. They are nice gentlemen who will eventually get the job done, but they are simply not built to provide an efficient, professional-grade moving service. I recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and property.

They moved us out of a 1bd/1bath with stairs on both properties efficiently, without issue and under 5 hours. Worth every penny (which we think was affordable)! Their pricing and process was straightforward. Our move date was September 13. The communication with Darlene and Rosie leading up to our move was great. I was told I would have a 4 person crew, but I ended up with a 5 person crew with no extra charge. The day of the move, Vince called 30 minutes ahead of the team's arrival and adjusted his arrival time by 15 minutes to accommodate my schedule. Vince and his crew (Emerson, Chance, Mario and D) were excellent. They were professional, on time, courteous and took great care with our furniture and belongings. I really appreciated the special care they gave in helping with small things that could have been big things had they not stepped in to help. Excellent team. Excellent crew! Excellent experience!

Complete Failure. Paid for experience, received inadequate labor…read more I hired All Service Movers expecting a professional crew capable of handling a move involving stairs. At $210 per hour for a three-person crew, they were the most expensive company I considered. I chose them mainly because I expected the quality to match the price. I got burned on this one. When scheduling the move, I explained it involved one flight of stairs at the pickup location and two flights of stairs at the destination. The heaviest items were standard household furniture including dressers, a sofa bed, tables, and similar items. There were no safes, pianos, appliances, or other unusually heavy items. When discussing how many movers would be needed, I was told two would probably be enough. I chose to pay for a three-person crew mainly because of the stairs, expecting they would handle it better. From the beginning, it was obvious the crew struggled navigating the stairs, repeatedly stopping to reposition furniture and moving at a pace that unnecessarily extended the job. I even found myself carrying heavy boxes over my shoulders up the stairs, and also taking items to the garage myself while paying for a three-person moving crew. I did this not only because I couldn't bear to watch the crew struggle, but also because the clock was ticking and every unnecessary delay was costing me more money. The move lasted 8 3/4 hours, went into overtime, and I was charged for the additional time. Even after that, the move was not completed. Furniture still needed to be placed and assembled. I chose to end the job once I witnessed the dolly scraping on my newly installed flooring. That's when I flipped. Told them it's time to go. It didn't dawn on me that they'd been using an unprotected dolly throughout the move. Once they left, I started unpacking and inspecting my stuff further. I discovered additional damage to my freshly painted walls, new and existing furniture, stair trim, and a scratch on my newly installed sliding door. To put this into perspective, Home Depot later delivered multiple large appliances up the exact same stairs using only two delivery personnel. They handled the stairs confidently without repeated stops or hesitation. I have also used another moving company in the past, and the difference in capability was obvious. The effort the movers put in is not in question. They worked hard. The issue was the lack of experience, strength, proper equipment, and overall capability needed to handle this type of move. In my opinion, All Service Movers failed to assign a crew capable of handling this type of stair move. Their lack of efficiency cost me additional overtime charges, resulted in unnecessary damage to my home and belongings, and left the move unfinished. To make matters worse, after documenting the damage with photographs and submitting a claim, the company offered only $100 toward an estimated $400 in damages. And the $400 estimate was generous. I cannot recommend All Service Movers based on my experience. A professional moving company should assign a crew capable of performing the job they were hired to do without causing unnecessary damage, unnecessary overtime charges, and an incomplete move. Still unpacking. Hope there's no additional damage.
