Rib ehe, mashed potatoes, onion rings, lobster tail with dipping butter.
    Maria V.

Came here on a Saturday night, had the salad, lobster bisque, rib eye (medium), onion rings, mashed potatoes, and crab cake. The salad was really good, sweet and light yet flavorful. Lobster bisque was good but a little salty for me. For the rib eye we ordered medium, but it came out rare so we had to send it back to cook some more. It was much better the second time. Lobster tail had a really strong smell like Ammonia, I couldn't get over the smell so I sent it back. Onion rings were good, it didn't have too much batter which we liked. Mashed potatoes were alright, I don't think they added anything much into it just potatoes and water. Crab cake had a lot of crab meat in it but was a little bit too salty. The crab cake and the second order of onion rings were complimentary to make up for the lobster tail, which was very nice of our waiter.

First time and last time!!! Went here for are Anniversary dinner. First thing the bread that they severed was stale. The second thing I ordered a French onion soup it literally tased like mop water not even joking I wish I was. Then to top it off the porterhouse steak for two was the worst steak I ever had in my life by far. The sides forget about it. We didn't even eat anything but the salad. Inedible!!! I payed for it anyway and took the steak home to my dogs. But I must say the service was good and very polite.

Definitely great quality/tasting steak I mean, that's what you go for right ? But the apps we weren't to crazy about. There was this complimentary onion ring they served with the steak though that was absolutely bomb, we needed more of them. Other than that, nice chill time and don't forget BYOB. But again, great piece of meat.

And, considering the quality, the value is pretty decent as well. A few recommendations. Prime rib, available only on Monday is outstanding. NY Strips and Rib Eye, are always a solid choice. The Steak Sandwich is absolutely incredible, trust me. Plus, their Pork Chop is amazing when its available. My only negative is that the dress code has become lax over time. I'm not a fancy guy. But for the first several years there was an upscale vibe and guests dressed appropriately which made the experience feel premium. Now it isn't all that uncommon to see guests wearing worn out tee shirts, sweat shirts, flip flops, cutoffs, etc. Nothing crazy, but a collard shirt and no flip flop code would be a fair. With all that said, I love this place and I think you will as well. Give it a try.

Our server, Jairo , had a pleasant demeanor and was very knowledgeable about the menu items. We ordered his recommendations and enjoyed every bite. Even more impressive was his ability to Remember what drinks we enjoyed, the appetizers and steaks that we have ordered in the past. Jairo is not only the greatest server I have ever met but he has the ability to partake in a conversation and ensured the entire evening was great. Michael McNamara the General Manager/Managing Partner came to our table to say hello and to ensure we were enjoying the evening. Capital Grill is lucky to have Michael leading this team . We had originally met Michael 2 years ago at our anniversary dinner which he ensured that every detail was perfect. The highlight of the evening was the red rose he presented to my wife. In a time when company's have abandoned the priority of a commitment to excellence, Capital Grill in Parsippany embraces this concept and implements it well. If you don't want your entrées coming out with the appetizers, just give them a heads up, because the kitchen moves fast here. We started with the mushroom dish and a hearty soup...both full of flavor and the perfect start to the meal. Then came the star of the night: the lamb chops. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Everything we tried was fresh and satisfying, the kind of food that makes you want to go back the next day. The service was on point- Friendly and attentive, and the whole space has this quirky, cozy feel, like you're sitting in your grandma's living room with its mix of chairs and warm, homey vibe.
