Wayne Puppies buys their puppies from puppy mills and then sells the puppies back to consumers at a premium price. These puppies and their mothers are kept in horrible conditions. Tons of these puppies die from the poor conditions their raised in or even during transport, all before they even reach the pet store. Even at the pet store their living conditions are very poor and many consumers have reported purchasing a puppy that was riddled with health problems and fake birth certificates. Check other reviews out, there's plenty of them. The puppies who do reach the store are far more likely to suffer from serious health problems and genetic deficiencies compared to dogs who do not come from puppy mills. That means if you buy from here you're more likely to get an inbred dog with serious health issues who will cost you thousands in additional vet bills compared to if you adopted a dog from a shelter. Last year around 400,000 shelter dogs were euthanized. Usually shelter dogs are euthanized because of overcrowding. Between 2018-2023 Wayne Puppies was caught selling puppies from some of the worst puppy mills in the USA. This is a fact and can be looked up online. Wayne Puppies knowingly selling puppy mill puppies is Wayne Puppies way of saying they care more about money and being greedy then anything else. DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU. Less then 2 weeks ago we just went and bought our little girl pug from the fair-lawn location, there's also the one in Wayne by the same owner, i was told by the fair-lawn employee. i waited until i brought her to our vet today to write a complete review as i had read some awful ones about customer service, health of dogs after a few days, price, etc and i wanted to cover it all at one time. To start. Price-Are these dogs prices high? I mean, i guess it's what you consider high. We had called around and there were places that cost more and some that cost less but over all we were okay with what we payed for our baby. Yes shelters do adoptions for a lot cheaper then this place, however again i guess it's what you consider high. We were comfortable with what we payed. Customer service- i can only speak of the customer service IN the fair-lawn location as we only called the Wayne location. The lady in Wayne answered our questions also but we ultimately decided to go to the fair lawn location. My husband called and spoke with Joe asked him questions about availability cost etc he answerd it all and we called back later to let him know we wanted to put down the deposit. Joe told my husband to come the next morning. Next morning my husband went down and payed the deposit one of the downsides of Covid was you can't really play or interact with the puppy in person but my husband was allowed to meet her and "play" with her behind the glass. He also advised my husband to come home and get my son and myself to go and see her also. We did just that. As far as the reviews of service being rude etc i didn't see any of that. He answered all questions asked and was nice he congratulated us upon entering and you could tell he was busy. The phone didn't stop ringing and he was always taking care of the puppies. We couldn't take her home that day as we had to wait for a quarantine period, but he assured us he would call us soon as we could and he would take care of her for us. He called us two days sooner then we thought and said we could come get her the next day. We picked her up he was very good at explaining everything we were signing & reading and answering questions about her care at home He NEVER forced us to use their vet just encouraged us to take her within 14 days he made small talk etc and when he handed her over to us he even said his own little goodbye to her you can tell he cares. We left with him reminding us to call him with any questions about her care if we had any. We thought it was a great experience. Health- A huge factor here. I've read some horrible things about puppies being sick from here or the other location etc however our baby appeared healthy when we got her. Clean well fed and taken care of, happy etc. she eats well at hone and plays. She sleeps and over all appeared healthy however of course i was concerned about anything internally that could be wrong and today she was cleared by my vet she's happy and healthy weighing 5.5 pounds heart and lungs sound great and all the boxes were checked off. I'm sure puppies do get sick and I'm sure some may end up with issues however currently our little one is doing well. If a problem does occur in the future we will. CRoss the bridge but i can't blame the store. A very good friend of mine bought her puppy from a breeder and a few months after he started to get sick. It does happen. Maybe we got lucky but it appeared all the dogs there are healthy and happy. :) We can't thank the NJ puppy store and joe enough for the happiness and joy or new little baby Jaxie brings to our family. She's the perfect mix of chaos and calm and we all adore her my son loves playing fetch with her and laying with her. We know it's been only two weeks but she makes us all so very happy! This is a long time overdue, but I simply have to say how much my daughter and I think about this place. We don't call it "Wayne Puppies" but rather Warm Puppies". We each bought a pup here, a long haired chihuahua and a yorkie. They are now 2 and 3 years old and are the most exquisite, sweet tempered , friendly, healthy and loving little dogs you could ever meet. The owners and staff were as patient as could be as we went back 3 times before we bought the chichi, willingly taking her out for us each time. We've moved away from the Wayne area and recently I was at an outdoor cafe where a sweet couple had an beautiful little yorkie. Where did they get her? Wayne Puppies - no surprise! read more

I am very particular in customer service and was not disappointed in the least. The two ladies that assisted us where fantastic and answered all our questions. I see a few negative comments and in my experience I see them unfounded. If your not prepared to spend money at vets, etc you're not prepared to be a puppy parent. They brought they other one out he couldnt stop havking non stop struggling to breathe and i guess their vet stops by weekly. Are you kidding. That dog has to be hospitalized he was literally hacking and struggling to breathe non stop. It wasnt an occasional thing. I felt so bad for him. On December 2021 I bought a Pomeranian I had been waiting for a black one and finally she appeared, I went to see her and fell in love with her immediately so I bought her without thinking twice. I have taken her to the Vet for all her checkups, she has grown totally different from a Pomeranian. I paid $3,838.50 for her. She apparently is mixed with another race as per her Vet and her Dog Groomer. Previously I had a Pomeranian for twelve years. She was easy to train, human oriented and her appearance was totally different. I am very upset because I trusted and believed in Wayne puppies that I was going to have a pure Pomeranian and now I have to deal with another breed that was not the one I paid for. I purchased a beautiful maltichon a month ago I will admit the staff was amazing! Upon packing our pup to head home I was given a bottle of panacure ( medication for guardia ) I asked if the dog was ill and was advised it was just a precaution. Two weeks latter I take our puppy to my vet for his first check up and was advised he did indeed have guardia , so we did a full round of panacure and flagyl . Rechecked the pup this week and he still has guardia so another round of meds ! I called the store to see if they would assist in the cost of these meds so far we are at 250.00 I was advised someone would get back to me or I can go there and pick up the meds ! First of all the puppy should not have been released without a clean bill of health ! Secondly I refuse to pick up meds from the facility that insured me this puppy was healthy! So before you leave there with any animal get it in writing that there is a clean bill of health! This is not the route I wanted to take but lack of concern and consideration forced my hand ! Bought a Wheaten Terrier here who is the sweetest boy. Sadly he developed allergies three months after getting him here and is dealing with many resulting GI issues from this. I would discourage anyone from buying a puppy here because the puppies are definitely from puppy mills who do not care about breeding to improve the breed's health. Do your homework and support a reputable breeder who cares about the future of their animals or adopt from a shelter so you do not financially support mills. The animals at this store are the ones who end up suffering from health issues due to bad breeding. We are praying that no other health issues surface for our boy. It is a gamble to buy here. You could get lucky and get a healthy dog, but odds are you will not and you will have a suffering animal. Thousands of dollars later we are getting his condition under control and we love him to pieces! It's a $5 donation to the animal shelter for 15 minutes with a puppy, sometimes longer if the shop isn't busy. I can tell the staff takes good care of them. I found my amazing Winston at this store. He was in okay health, but he did have hip dysplasia within the first year. 6k later and now he's fine. He also had Giardia and they paid for his medical expenses. So make sure you follow up with your vet as soon as you take your puppy home. Please find a different vet, for your fur babies. My aunt brought her cat Chayna in, because she kept rubbing the side of her head. They diagnosed her with an ear infection, and gave her drops, which my aunt had a problem putting in her ears, so she contacted the office, and she was told to bring her back each day for a week, so the vet could administer the drops, which my aunt did diligently, and paid the cost for each day. One morning my aunt sees that her precious Chayna's eye was out of the socket, and naturally she cried, and rushed her back to the office. She was then told that Chayna had a massive tumor in her head, and had to be put to sleep. With the initial check up, and test, there's no possible way not to detect the tumor from day one. I went to Wayne pupils there to learn about what type of dog suites me...large or small...they let you play with them and you give a donation of $5 per play. The money goes to help shelter animals so I felt good about that. The wierd thing was I was capped off after playing with 4 puppies as that is their policy! Dumb policy - I'm there and what if the animal I wasn't allowed to play with is gone the next day? I washed after each animal and if they are worried about diseases why is four the magic number? I don't blame the girls working there who are very nice but I was totally turned off and walked out in a huff. Aren't they in the business to sell? I only played with one puppy for thirty seconds. It wasn't interested in me and only yipped to get out of the play area. If a person is going to pay money they need to be able to assess the animal that seems right for them and if that day is the only time I have they should have accommodated me. Now, I am no longer going to be their customer and I am a great pet owner. They lose! Puppy is healthy and doing well. Owners are rude, cruel, selfish business people who are Liars. The staff sells puppies and tells costumers that vet bills for their preferred vet is free for 6 months including shots, they then slip a piece of paper in your folder saying you are responsible. Had a surprise when I got to the vet. Vet staff stated its an on going issue and they are constantly harassed by new clients because of the store's lies...owner was contacted and would not help or correct the issue. She just stated she would follow up with her staff and take the difference out of their pay check..it's about the principal not the money...sad that a clean, local store has such a down fall.. Owners also refuse to work on weekend when most puppies are sold. Puppy is healthy tho. Update: 1/5/16...I still have been ran around and lied to by the owners daughter you told me she was going to help me and then went back on her word because her mom and dad (owners) would be mad if she did what was right. How to start. Came here today, to look at the french bulldogs they have. First the girls working didn't greet us, or ask if we needed help with anything. So we walked around to look at the 4 different frenchies they had (took maybe about 5 minutes), still was not asked if we needed help with anything. We had our eye on one of the males they had and wanted to take him out to see him and play with him, but again no one was interested in helping us. My boyfriend had left the shop at this point to get the $5 that you need to "donate" in order to meet a puppy. That was a bit shocking... you need to "donate" in order to see a puppy you might buy, for hundreds or more? So I was standing looking at this cute little boy frenchie, still not asked if they could help, turn around and see both the girls chilled out stuffing their faces. So I left... places like this don't deserve customers, when they have horrible customer service. This place will eventually get shut down just like all the others, but I do hope those poor puppies find good homes before then. I walked in here on a very warm summer day and it didn't seem like it was very cool in there and the puppies seemed like they felt the heat too and were very miserable looking, a couple even laying with their bodies up against the glass....... I'm assuming because it felt cooler for them that way. One of my first questions to the girl was "are these puppies from rescues?" Her response to me was "we get our puppies from reputable breeders throughout the Midwest." If you have half of a brain there is no such thing as a reputable breeder!! With thousands of perfectly good healthy sweet and lovable dogs dying every single day in this country due to euthanasia or even worse, being gassed to death - why would anyone in their right mind want to BUY a dog rather then rescue one from an overcrowded shelter? While the USDA does conduct inspections the inspections are typically done to large scale animal operations to make sure the animals there have decent living conditions. If you look up any YouTube videos for puppy mills typically the puppy mills will have passed inspection according to the USDA but the dogs are living in completely awful conditions with the dogs in cages and no food or water. So I would even be weary about how much you trust the suppose it USDA inspections. if you are considering buying a puppy please look to your local shelter as there are many amazing dogs, of very ages, that are looking for a loving forever home; Not being cash makers to fill some greedy person pockets. Went in with my 4 year old and asked to meet a puppy as we are considering adding a pet to our family. They refused to let us meet amy of the dogs unless we donated $5. When I questioned them they claimed that they donate this money to a shelter which I did not see explicitly stated anywhere in the shop. My daughter was obviously sad and dissappointed when I told her we couldn't meet a puppy because I didn't have cash on me and despite this they still refused and said it was "policy." I got my wonderful puppy here. He's healthy, however, the owner is a bullshitter. I think he gives out false paperwork. He tried discourage me from taking the dog to the vet immediately. I did anyway. He told me my dog was neutered. He was not. I called him and he told me he gave me the wrong papers for my dog. Then my papers said my puppy had hernia surgery. My vet checked him out. He didn't have any surgery. My vet believes he gives out false papers for the dogs he is selling. My puppy is fine and healthy. I know people will tell me I shouldn't have gone to a pet store because the dogs come from puppy mills. Yeah I get it but at the end of the day these dogs need homes too. I love my puppy but I just want to warn people that I think this owner is giving out false info on the dogs he is selling. He did give me my deposit back because he told me he gave me s a neutered dog and that's not what I got. I would just advise if you do buy from this store just bring the dog immediately to your vet and have him/her checked out. read more

I was in the store this weekend and had a horrible experience. I am sure it is no reflection on the owner, and certainly not on the puppies, but the sales girl was rude and obnoxious. I asked to see a puppy and was told it was a $5 donation fee; fine. The puppy we looked at seemed very nervous which might just be that particular dogs personality, so we asked to see another dog, was told it was another $5 fee. I was surprised, but it wasnt a deal breaker. The deal breaker was that other than taking the puppy out of his cage, the sales girl did not get up from her seat at the front of the store, this forced me to shout my questions across the store. She was not on hand to help us at all and made us feel like we were disturbing her (she was on her cell phone the whole time). When I told her she was rude she told me I couldnt afford an 1800 dollar dog if I couldnt afford to pay an additional $5 to see another dog! Of course this led to a shouting match smh. These are facts, not just a frustrated "customer's cry." *** 1) First and foremost, I am happy to see some positive reviews on this shop. It is my sincerest hope that these reviews are true, and that they have bought HEALTHY and happy puppies from this establishment. I truly hope they take these claims into consideration and care for the PUPPIES before their wallets. 2) Now to my experience. We bought a puppy last week from this establishment, which initially seemed to be fine. They told us the puppy was born in December, making it at least 2 months old (the necessary time it takes for a puppy to nurse and transition). We took the puppy home on a Thursday night, and had a vet appt. for the next day (less than 24 hours). During the appt., we were informed that the puppy had "kennel cough," and could not receive the necessary shots and treatments that a new puppy needs. She had also asked how old the pup was ( we told her 2 months, as that is what the owner told us). Upon examination, she knew this puppy was NOWHERE NEAR 2 months, hence all of the complications and bacterial infections. The puppy barely had its baby teeth, leading us to believe he was close to 1 month . She prescribed an antibiotic for the pup's cough, but also informed us that he could not receive the necessary shots until this cleared up. He also had microparasites in his stool. We were forced to admit him into the Emergency Vet on Sunday (less than 3 days from purchase) and he has not been home since. It has been 1 week now that this poor puppy is in the Emergency Vet's office on IV's and nebulizers. A total of 6 days that this poor pup has been through hell. It's not even about the cost at this point, it's about the treatment and welfare of the animals that are coming from this establishment. 3) We have placed several calls to Wayne Puppies of NJ, who keep coming up with more excuses. The owner is "on the West Coast," and we have been waiting for him to call us back for over a week. In the meantime, whoever is in charge simply states that "respiratory infections amongst puppies are common" (which is completely UNTRUE if you supply the proper breeding, care, and time span for selling), and that "we should have brought the puppy back to them to take care of." Really? Are you serious? Why don't you take the proper steps and care for your puppies in the first place so this isn't even a situation? With that said, I hope that our puppy survives this RIDICULOUS AND UNNECESSARY ordeal. More so, I hope that whoever considers this establishment truly researches their backgrounds and allegations. Wayne Puppies of NJ does not deserve to be in business until they put the welfare of their "products" first and foremost. Until then, they will be hearing from the ASPCA and every NJ news outlet imaginable. read more
