How about not injuring anyone's pets in the first place? I did bring her to vet and they agreed that they scrubbed a sensitive area too hard. I didn't bring her the bill because, she seemed like a nice lady and I truly thought it was a mistake. She offered a free groom that I said no to and said I will pay but she refused the money, I had my son stay in the store with my dog. Then came her rudeness out of the blue! She sent me texts galore, saying how she might need special shampoo, pictures of someone else's dog? So confused. What she doesn't remember is that 14 years ago she groomed my cocker spaniel, Maggie. She did a good job ( I did always have to touch up her cut but it never really bothered me) and was always nice but then again Maggie Mae was older and so forgiving and sweet. I never saw any injury but she had long hair. Now, fast forward I have this beautiful and sweet frenchie who is also forgiving and sweet but she's still so young. To see a wound on her just broke my heart. If anyone is interested in seeing the rude texts please contact me. Please don't put your baby at risk . It's just not worth it. You never know and it only takes one time and now I have leaned a valuable lesson, unfortunately. Please be careful here and don't just drop off your dog and trust. Contact me for details. Ohh and don't miss an appointment because, say you may have broken your ankle like I did, because her response was that she will no longer take a cancellation for a health reason! Horrifying Experience!!!…read more I've taken my big fluffy mess Sandor a male Pomsky to BIG MOOSE a few times before and never had any issues besides for ur normal complaints in the other comments. (dogs barking uncontrollably locked in small cages!) I called Joy (owner) to schedule a grooming for Sandor right before Memorial Day weekend 2023. When I dropped him off and she asked "so what are we doing today?" I said, "same as usual needs his normal wash, nails trimmed, and a nice haircut." Joy replied "we could shave him." I told her "ABSOLUTELY NOT, DONT SHAVE MY DOG, I've read and been told by my vet not to shave a double coated dog unless it's for medical reasons!" "Ok, we'll give him a nice cut" says Joy As normal I leave Sandor n go back a few hours later when I get the call to pick my little guy up. So I walk into BIG MOOSE GROOMING and I was in shock!!! Literally for the first time I was at a loss for words. SHE SHAVED MY DOG!!! The one thing I told them NOT TO DO they decided to do! I couldn't even think right to argue I already had money in hand left it on the counter grabbed Sandor n stormed out! After the long weekend enjoying time with family n friends I was still bothered n extremely disappointed they couldn't follow simple instructions! I called Joy that Tuesday and vented my concerns n feelings about what they did without my consent. Her response was defensive n told me she does this all the time n wouldn't be in business if the hair didn't grow back! (I guess my old groomer knows more about dogs than my Vet!). Didn't offer any refund either! (Like she did for Paul in one of the previous comment) A few reasons why I'm writing this a year after the fact -Wanted to see if n how his hair would grow (it did but not the same) WISH I could leave ZERO Stars but unfortunately yelp doesn't allow it!!!

I eventually added another dog and both come together for their monthly grooming! Can't say enough of how well they are treated and how special they look each time they come home.
