The adorable puppies will make you stop at the windows to watch these playful pups romp around, rather clumsily too. The caramel or golden colored golden doodle looking dog is the cutest to me, super playful and energetic. I could watch this dog for a while. He was playing with the other two pups. My hubby, he liked the white fluffy dogs that were sleeping even with all of the folks watching them. He said they would be more chilled out and wouldn't require as much attention. It was a fun distraction from our hour or so of window shopping for this and that. This store front is located by the east parking area and by the shake shack. read more

I have visited this store to see if I could pick up some gifts for my dog on multiple occasions considering it is in same mall I do my cloths and Christmas gift shopping. They keep flagging my review for removable, but that's not what yelp is about. It's about all types of reviews. You can't keep flagging every bad review to make your company look perfect. How can you say I have not visited this location when I have a check in? This place is not affordable and they do not have rescue dogs. You can get similar and if not the same toys, carriages, and treats online for a fraction of the price. Most stores partner with local shelters but this location uses breeders. They also do not have many options for vegan/vegetarian treats/food. You get better customer service at a Petco/PetSmart. Customers should be able to expect a more customized experience here since it's not a chain store and the products are way more expensive. read more

It's been a lot of years since we got our Frenchie from this store. She is a brindle-pied beautiful girl that we named Nala. I've been reading some horror stories about puppy mills lately and we had found out shortly after bringing Miss Nala home that that is exactly where she came from. The papers we were given stated the breeders name, we did background - and low and behold he had one of the largest puppy mills in Iowa. When we got her she had kennel cough, and shortly after had giardia. Luckily now a days (she is almost 6 now), the only issue we have are her allergies which we've been able to manage pretty well. But I felt obligated to come back and speak my peace at this point. Please think twice about buying from here, the shelter really is the way to go. read more

This place is the absolute worst. Full of crooks. They told my gf that 50% of the dog price was to be used as a deposit to hold the dog and that it was non refundable. My gf put down $3k instead and some unforeseen events happened not allowing us to house the animal properly. They in turn said that now the FULL $3k was non refundable. When i called to get clarity i was met with sassy attitude and dismissal. They hung on me when i was asking for vital information. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all! I was referred to them by a friend who had purchased two dogs from the store. I wanted a specific breed ( Cane Corso ) and they were able to deliver. They went out of their to work with the breeders to find me my beautiful pup. The staff took the time to teach about the breed and gave tips on how to start the training process. The staff was so knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. I was able to sit with the pup in a designated area to get acquainted with him. We recently brought home our 3rd pup from this store, a tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Our first two are happy, healthy, and nicely tempered (A Blenheim Cavi and a Maltese). They are 4 and 2 years old, and our new little guy is 3 months. The pups seem well cared for and they all came home used to a crate, which is great for training. Our new pup has slept through the night in his crate next to me from day one. To this day, my other dogs find their crates to be a safe place and they sometimes lay in them to rest all on their own. The vet who cares for the pups at the store is very nice and does not over vaccinate or push unnecessary vaccines or medications. The prices are fair based on the market IMO. All puppies and dogs should have homes, even ones from pet stores, and IMO this store is a good one. read more

They work with "breeders" in the mid west, but don't try and ask them who! Any REAL breeder, would not EVER work directly with a store front. I feel so awful for these dogs, because they deserve homes, but you're ASKING for health, behavioral, and genetic issues all while the employees profile you. My husband and I got our beautiful Chinese Crested at 5m old from Fashionable Pets. He has been the best gift we could ask for, he is a loving and loyal dog. It's been 4yrs that we've had him and he has been healthy, energetic and he's the best to snuggle with. When we received him from Fashionable Pets they provided us with all the appropriate certifications and authentications from the breeder, veterinarian as well as the American Kennel Club. When we've had questions about his diet and skin care issues ( if your familiar with the breed, the hairless crested have very sensitive skin) they've been just a phone call away to assist and make recommendations on food choices and skin treatments. I had recently wrote a review about Fashionable Pets (well my fiancé did) and he mentioned that Fashionable Pets didn't mention anything about the NJ Lemon Laws. I took down the review for two reasons, 1: they did mention something about NJ Lemon Laws when we were purchasing a pet 2: I received a surprised phone call from Fashionable Pets about the review that was written which explains the 3 star rating, although couple of my friends said that it should have received 1 or 2 stars because of the phone call. They said they (the store) weren't harassing me but I still find it baffling that a business would call you. They were nice on the phone but...........I want to say intimidating. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because my family and I decided to purchase a pet from Fashionable Pets. It was a Saturday in May. Instantly, we fell in love with the puppy. The puppy was $2100. So we decided to apply for the financing through Wags. We were approved. At the time I wasn't thinking about all the supplies, except for the crate, we were getting. I now realize we could have saved a lot of money and just purchased the dog bowls and dog bed at a dollar store and instead of buying two bags of food, buy one. To my surprise weeks later, I realized that for one dog bowl it was $15. Yikes!!! Anyways, as soon as we got home, my mother went to purchase all kinds of supplies for the puppy, such as a gate and toys. Little did we know that my brother would be allergic to the puppy. The puppy was Hypoallergenic, so I was surprised. I wiped the puppy down with the wipes we also purchased and later tried the puppy shampoo. But it didn't work. As a result my brother had to leave the house because his allergies triggered his asthma.while I was up Saturday night looking over the contract, I knew they said the SALE of the puppy is final but we financed the puppy which mention we were going to pay a very little monthly payment. But in the Wags contract that we signed it stated that we had 48 hours to return the puppy for any reason. So, I knew the store was going to closed on Sunday and decided to go take the puppy back on Monday morning. Long story short, they didn't want to take the puppy back because it went against the store's policy but Wags contract said differently. I contacted Wags and they said that the store had to take the puppy back. The problem was Wags contract says that you can return the puppy within 48 hrs but the store's contract says all sales are final. I did tell the store that both contracts contradicts itself. In the end they took the puppy back on Wednesday. I don't know if this issue (contradiction of the contracts) has been solved. I will say that the manager who I spoke to and seen on that Wednesday was an excellent help. I can't say the same for the young lady who I spoke to on that Monday when I went to return the puppy. After telling her the situation, she had an unsympathetic attitude toward my brother who couldn't come back home because of his asthma from the puppy and told me to just sell the dog. A nice place but I was shocked and so was my fiancé and a friend of mine who I was with when I received a phone call about the review we wrote. It was basically comparing them to other pet stores. I recently moved and am researching extensively from breeders about their puppies. Would I go back to Fashionable Pets.........no, it's too pricey and after the entire situation and with the phone call from them.....it just wouldn't be a good idea. read more

I am torn about stores that sell puppies, but I will say this store is the cleanest store I have been to. The puppies all look healthy and happy and arent sitting in their own waste. They have lots of toys and the staff is really good about not letting people handle the dogs and spread germs. They seem to really care about the puppies they sell too. I have bought supplies like treats and pick up bags from here before. I wish they still sold the gourmet cookies individually by the register, my dog loves those. read more

Like many of you out there, I was extremely skeptical of buying a puppy from a pet store. I heard all of the stories regarding puppy mills, sick dogs, mistreatment, etc. However, one of my work colleagues who had purchased two puppies from Fashionable Pets was adamant that this place was a gold standard of puppy care, customer service, breeder sourcing, and follow up. I decided to give them a chance. I could not be happier. My puppy Roscoe is the best thing that has happened to our family in a very long time. I took him to a vet for my own peace of mind. The vet confirmed that Roscoe was as healthy as can be and had clearly been well taken care of. The buying experience was amazing. Yoly, Allison, and the rest of the team are the "dog whisperers" as far as I'm concerned. They knew their stuff and were pleasures to deal with. My husband and I were looking for a french bulldog. We couldn't find any breeders near us. My husband saw that Fashionable Pets were selling a french bulldog puppy. He called the store and asked the price which was either $3,200 or $3,400. We thought that seemed over priced but were having difficulty finding the breed anywhere else. When my husband spoke to the staff on the phone he was told they offer financing with WAGS Financing and if we were approved we wouldn't have to pay for the dog upfront. We could pay for her monthly over time. My husband specifically asked if there were any interest charges or other charges and was told NO. So we went to the store and purchased the dog with the belief that were paying $206 a month till the $3,200 (or $3,400) was paid off. Now fast forward till today. I have been paying for my dog for over a year and a half and I have paid close to $4,000 for my dog so far. And the $206 is still being taken out of my account every month. I called WAGS and said I have paid OVER the price of the dog, why am I still being charged? I was told that I am currently LEASING my dog. And that out of the $206 a month I have been paying for my dog, only $70 of that has gone toward the dogs payment. The rest of the $136 has been "LEASING FEES". If I continue on with the "lease" I will end up paying over $9,000 for my dog!!!! If I would like to "end my lease" and "buy" my dog I need to pay another over $2,200!!!!!! NONE OF THIS WAS EXPLAINED TO US when we bought our dog! We were under the impression that we would be charged $206 a month until the price of the dog was paid in full. We were shocked! We are struggling financially right now and were happy that the dog would soon be paid off. Then find out we will now end up having to pay about $6,000 for our dog!! read more

This is one of, if not the best local pet stores in New Jersey. The staff, as well as the owner is very knowledgeable, welcoming and overly willing to assist with any of your pet needs. They offer an array of resources and information to seamlessly acclimate the puppy with its new family. The owner was very helpful in providing direction on care and address any questions we had. The store is very clean, organized and easily assessable for anything we needed for our new puppy. The store is always packed with the staff generously letting everyone interact with the puppies. We came here through a recommendation of a friend and couldn't be more happier! We even decided to have our new puppy board here overnight while on vacation. Great business! read more

Yelp removed my first review because it outside yelps content guideline and did not have enough customer experience. Well I hope that this revised review is up to their standards. Seeing the store from the outside you'll see a crowd of people looking at puppies through a glass wall in their glass cages. When I walk in the place seems clean and professional and there are signs of AKC certified and inspections everywhere. I proceed to the counter to ask the receptionist which was not busy where they buy their puppies from? She did not tell me where but repeated they were AKC certified. I asked her if the store purchase from puppy mills and she said no, the store and puppies are AKC certified. This store is AKC CERTIFIED, which means they have paper work from the puppies parents and pedigree. Most, if not all stores that sell animals come from puppy mills where animals are mistreated, abused and not cared for properly. She obviously has no idea what she's talking about. The store also sells leashes and collars that are over priced. Hopefully this review has enough customer experience. read more

Initially nice staff, manager nice but this store is money focused. Store Vet does not test animals for parasites, as they said. Our puppy came home with 2 parasites, was ill mannered and snappy due to isolation, and weak in legs and fearful, in part due to much time in travel kennel at store. She is a Shiba Inu who we named Zta. the moment we noticed her. it was love at first sight. and as each day goes by my love for her grows stronger and bigger. she is our world. we work long hours and the moment we come home to her adorableness our stress and previous negative feelings melt right away. she is a blessing. and because of the pre training this store had offered my pup and all the love and attention she received, i can't be much happier and grateful for the puppy she is and is developing to be. i remember every day and night that we would stop by. every breed we have encountered... all the knowledge that we have learned from the owners. every little cute dog that went by day after day... we knew we wanted a dog but not sure what kind or what exactly we need that fits our lifestyle. the staff at fashionable pets held me firm and under control, teaching me that the time will come when the time will come and one shouldn't buy a dog out of compulsion.... it might be obvious to some, but with my weak and sensitive heart their words led me down the road towards my lovely Zta. everything happens for a reason. Bought a puppy here, and the experience has convinced me to never ever get a dog from a pet store. Pros- They make it super easy. The package is all inclusive, and there's no hassle. I really appreciated the honesty and care of the vet that oversees their puppies. Store is clean. Items are nice. Cons- You are told they are crate trained. Mine was definitely not. If anything, she was very used to pooping in the crate, which is apparently typical of pet store dogs. They push you to get the puppy package, and they say it's a deal. It's most definitely not. Didn't get the package and spent less money on better things. They refuse to tell you the name of the breeder until you purchase the dog and sign the papers. They claim they give you all this breeder info but when I asked for the breeder name the staff kept saying that is only given after purchase. After doing purchase, I looked up the breeder info. Saw a lot of questionable things. The owner was very rude. Worst of all, my dog was sick the moment we got her. We put her in puppy obedience classes, and her trainer was appalled at how skinny she was... we didn't realize this bc we had never had a puppy her size. She had an infection, and signs were there from the moment we got her. But no one noticed. read more

Fashionable Pets is the best store to purchase your puppy from. People complain about the price of the puppies but at least you get a good puppy that you know where they are coming from. I got my dog from here and she's absolutely perfect. She is not completely trained but cage trained and sleeps throughout the entire night which is a plus. I definitely recommend this place. The owner is super helpful and tells you exactly what to do to keep the puppy healthy and happy. read more

When we purchased our puppy, the owners of this store treated my partner and I like we were not previously dog owners, after we had both explained that we had raised dogs previously. But, some of the information in their disclosures was helpful to our first days with a new puppy. Both owners were very nice with us, especially when it came to the care of their puppies in their boutique. Over the last year, our puppy has given us nothing but smiles and laughter. However, some of her behaviors became a little more bizarre than others, such as her intense clinginess to us, her fright of strangers and new environments, and small stature for her breed-type. Doing some research on her paperwork with her whereabouts, appears to imply she came from a USDA certified dog breeder (which from researching could be a puppy mill). Regardless, she is healthy and this vendor made it clear that they had good intentions to sell dogs to good owners, such as my partner and I. Looking back at our transaction, I feel that we overpaid for our pup. But, this is a very high end puppy store, unlike any others out there. We've seen so many puppy stores where there are at least 5 pups crammed into a small crate, which this is NOT the case for Fashionable Pets GSP. Overall, this vendor is welcoming to people who want to experience the joy of owning a dog, and very knowledgeable about the responsibilities dogs require. However, I feel saddened that our puppy's whereabouts could have been exposed to living environments, which news specials make puppy stores to be very negative. read more

It's a nice little store with many puppies for sale. I am extremely against pet stores even with all the improvements they are trying to implement. My boyfriend just bought a puppy there without consulting with me and I was pissed that he did lol However, the puppy is adorable and the girls at the store were friendly, even after seeing me every day for visitations. It seems like they play with puppies one by one and keep them happy I saw them walking bunch of puppies at night too, coming out of the movie theater. The rules and laws and rights were all explained to me very well. The owner(manager?) made emphasis on things and steps I should take to take advantage of the package. All these negative reviews: it's a puppy store, they have to make money. Yes the package cost more than if I bought individual items, but my boyfriend doesn't know that hahah and he never pays attention. I was assured that they carefully select their breeders and if I have any questions I will be able to ask the breeder himself. I want to believe that as i believe that people want to stop animal abuse. And my puppy is gonna have a nice loving home, regardless where he came from. Overall, my puppy is adorable. That being said they sold us a sick runt for the high end price of this breed (shiba inu). They did a great job pretending they were sincere and honest about their business. We had problems with our puppy since week one. We filed a complaint and was going to sue them in court. However we did fall in love with our puppy in the process (which saved them).
