Leaving my annual review update for my favorite groomers/ people!…read more I just can't believe it has been over 10 years since I first brought my rescue Puffy and they so generously groomed her after she was neglected for so long. I still can't believe they took us on a busy Saturday. I still can't believe they were so patient with her. And I still can't believe that I had to fight them to take my money! Having them take care of my own baby who they never made stay in the crate because i spoiled him and so he hated them. And who they opened up early for to do his last grooming before he passed. To now caring for my new baby Barron and he looking like a million bucks every time he leaves! A poodle with parents that don't comb/ brush him as they should... and squeezing us in when they can because busy is not the word! Honey if you groom like they do, care for one's fur baby like they do and are affordable in this day and age of gouging grooming salons - you simply stay busy. As they should! I'm so proud of their growth and the relationships they form with their customers and most importantly their furry clients. I drive over an hour to get to them. And when I travel or they are booked my poor baby has to get Mom's bad in between face cutting BUT I refuse to go anywhere else. Ever. Just not worth it. Love you guys and I remain proud of and thankful for you!!

I would NOT bring him anywhere else. My dog HATES baths but they are so good with him. I am never worried about my dog when I leave him there. I have heard horror stories about other places who manhandle the dogs like petsmart. This is a small place ran by 2 owners who LOVE dogs. They are super nice and they offer an EMS/FIRE/POLICE discount. I was recommended here by a friend who has a crazy pitbull who is easily managed by the staff here. Thats how GOOD they are. They always remember my dog by name and I feel like he is part of the pet spa "family."

I have been to a few groomers in the area, Barbara was the ONLY one who let me go in the back with him. I easily got an appt to come in on a Saturday. Place looks so inviting & clean. Lots of lovely pictures around. Doggie toys & clothes as well! We were greeted very warmly but Barbara & Kelly. We waited about 2 mins & they took Oliver & me in the back. I know I am paying for a service, but I liked I can stay next to him & keep him calm. Kelly washed him so easily & gave him a blueberry facial! She & Barbara dried him twice, ears, teeth & nail all done in under an hour! He looks, feel & smells wonderful! You can really tell how much they love the animals that come through there. We had waited about four months, and I brush her myself regularly, but fine. When we tried to rebook, he said he couldn't take her anymore, she was too much for him. She is a short hair GSD mix and has never been too much for any groomer. But why not say that after the second visit, instead of encouraging us to bring her in on a more frequent schedule? The place was easy to find from my home. I arrived at 8:15 am and the shop was still closed. I waited there until about 8:35 am when a young man opened the door. I walked in behind another woman to drop off my dog. As soon as I walked in, it smelled like wet dog. The worst smell! The place looks run down, like it has never been updated. The grooming tables look like they're about to fall apart. The entire shop looks dilapidated. The young man checked me in and he didn't even know what my dog was there for. My boyfriend called in the appointment about 3 weeks prior and there was no information left for the person checking me in on how we wanted his hair cut. If any one has a wheaten, you know how important it is to get their hair cut the right way. The young man proceeded to write down my dog's name and what services I wanted. There as a sign that read "credit card machine down, please use cash" and they didn't have any computer/technology available for checking in. I really didn't want to leave my dog there because the guy checking me in never greeted my dog. He just grabbed the leash and put him in the crate. He never told me who was going to cut my dogs hair. I figured I would give this place a try and not go off of what I saw. After I left, I got a call from the groomer an hour later asking me if anyone called me and how I wanted my dog's hair cut. This was very annoying since I spent 5 minutes explaining to the young man how his hair should be cut. This made me very nervous and concerned. I picked my dog up at 1pm (yes, he was there for 4.5 hours!!!!). The groomer called before I picked him up to let me know that it was $75 and that their credit card machine was down. When I picked my dog up, the groomer was not there. That's right, I NEVER MET THE GROOMER THAT SPENT 4.5 HOURS WITH MY DOG. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional on her part. I don't even know her name to include in this review. What is she trying to hide? When it came time to pay for the service, the young man increased the price to $85. My boyfriend refused to pay that amount and had to explain to him multiple times that the groomer called and told us it would be $75. The young man then attempted to put on my dog's harness while talking on the phone. My boyfriend ended up going to the back and putting it on himself. They also forgot his collar and we had to go back to pick it up (they never even called us to tell us that we left it there, I had to call) After this whole fiasco, my dog's hair cut was TERRIBLE!!! She messed up his fall (crooked and too short) and also messed up the hair around his eyes. I guess he moved and she didn't bother to even out his eyebrows. Im highly disappointed with this business and will NEVER refer anyone to this horrible, unprofessional, dirty and shady grooming business. My dog was not in a good mood when he left either, probably because he was there for so long. We usually get compliments on how cute he looks after he gets groomed at another shop but after my dog left Personal Touch, no one even noticed that his hair was groomed. He didn't even smell good =( I wish I had something positive to say about this place. Do your research before you drop your dog off to a groomer.
