Took my mini golden doodle here a few times but the last time I took him I was extremely disappointed!! My dog is always super anxious around strangers when I walked in to drop him off to have him groomed, my dog didn't want to go with the lady that groomed him it was my first time seeing her the lady at the front told the groomer to just drag my dog inside FIRST RED FLAG ! As I mentioned we've been here before and they've never had to that ! They usually only take two hours to groom him that day they took 3 hours to call me to pick him up red flag number TWO! So when I picked him up he was completely shaved down except his head a week later I notice he has a huge scab on his head from a cut which looks like they cut him with the shaver or burned him with the blower and never said anything to me ! Which is very unprofessional because I know my dog moves a lot so the least they could've done was call me! I took my dog to the vet two weeks later because the scab got worse and started to smell. When I took him to the vet the vet tells me he has a hot spot and it was infected!!! The groomers hurt my dog and stayed quiet 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND these people with your dog!!!! read more

Only a 5 minute drive from home, I don't know why I never thought to bring my dog here! We used to bring my corgi to petco or petsmart for grooming but they always had so many dogs that it was annoying trying to get an appointment. The grooming usually took more than 2 hours and it was inconvenient having to carve out time to wait for the pick up I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by two friendly faces. There's a decent size for the dogs in the back to walk around and the place is very clean. I told them my concern with my corgi and they suggested a type of shampoo that would help and asked how i wanted him cut..my dog was very simple- the typical deshedding, ear cleaning, and nail filing. He was ready within the hour and I was extremely pleased with the grooming and the whole experience was just great I will definitely continue to bring my dog back here for grooming! read more

Took my dog here few times and sadly twice I was very disappointed. I showed photo of what I was looking for. Mind you, it's a cleaned up version of how she looked going in. I even asked if they wanted a copy of photo and was told it's not needed. Worst part about this was I was being helped by the owner. We specifically spoke about what happened at prior visit and was assured my dog was in good hands with her. Was not offered a sorry, nothing. I'd rather drive further to get better service. Why tell a groomer what you want if they will cut your dog anyway they please? Stay away from this place. I gave it a second try after a bad cut and this time around was worse. Read the reviews!!! I should have read the 1 star reviews to this place as they also razor burned my dog underneath his arm. The haircut was choppy, he has cuts on his genitals and they caused matting under his ear then failed to cut it. When we went back to nicely explain to them that we were unhappy with the services they just gave us excuses after excuses. When the lady at the front desk tried to tell me my dog was matted all around, I couldn't hold back anymore. I brush my dog twice a week, never was he matted until after his time here. They could have respectfully handled this situation better by either giving us a full refund or anything for the inconvenience and dissatisfaction, but refused because they were drowning us with excuses. My dog has been to the groomers before and never received the commentary these people tried to tell me. What's even more frightening is that your pup gets groomed behind closed doors. I would not recommend. Also, please google matted dogs so you have a better understanding of what it looks like before accusing further dogs of it. Unbelievable. read more

Our dog looks absolutely awesome after today's visit: skin, nails, ears, teeth, eyes are nice and clean. Our appointment was at 2:30 and around 4:30 Becca called that they were done. Took my dog here today for a bath and to get her nails cut and had a wonderful experience. The Grooming Shoppe was opened relatively recently and is run by a mother daughter team. Sue and Becca are fantastic. They love dogs and all animals and are truly concerned about the well being of the all dogs that enter their shoppe. They're extremely understanding and loving to dogs that are skittish (like my little pup). They love what they do and it really shows the moment you walk in here. Total time for grooming was only an hour. But they said it could take anywhere between 1 and 2 hours. We left after dropping off my dog and went out to breakfast. I like many read the reviews for this shop and was encouraged to take my dog here. Upon entering, since this was our first time taking the dog to this place, we asked if they clean the ears and anal glands along with the standard grooming. We were told that yes, along with a bath, they would clean her ears and glands. We picked the dog up and had no complaints about how great she smelled and clean she looked, we were very happy...... That is until we got home and a day or so later we noticed she was scratching her ear a lot. When we inspected her ear we noticed that it in fact had not been cleaned at all. We immediately took her to the vet to have her looked at and have her ears cleaned. The vet told us that as a result of the wax build up and bacteria from the bath water in her ear she had developed a bad ear infection. Our dog now has been suffering from this infection for the past week. I'm sure this place is great and usually does a fine job, but at least in this instance, they did not do what they were supposed to and unfortunately its causing our dog a great deal of discomfort. read more

We are very happy having brought our last 3 pets here for grooming and we tend to be very particular about our 4-legged babies. Becca and her staff are very kind, knowledgeable and competent! We have frequently made and changed our normally "standing" appointment schedule and they always do their best to help! Also, be advised they don't use those dreadful cages for pets!! They have clan little pens for each dog after grooming which is abundantly easier on the dog (and the owner)!! I brought my bichon/poodle here for the first time this weekend and the service was exceptional! They were very accommodating even though I arrived late and unprepared. The store is stocked with very high quality products, many of which are typically hard to find at brick and mortar stores, all while prices are right in line with what you might pay online. I like bringing my dog here because they keep the dogs in pens after they are done grooming them and not in cages. My dog dislikes cages as he is a rescue that was in cages for his first year of life . It's such a relief to see them comfortable in pens after they are groomed . I'm very happy about this . My dog always looks great when he gets his hair cut and smells amazing. It's a small place and I like how they don't have tons of others dogs kept in cages waiting to be groomed. I love this shop! It is owned by a mother/daughter duo that have a lot of experience in the business and own 5 dogs collectively between the 2 of them! I have been bringing my pets here since the day they opened and I cannot say enough good things about them! I love that my pets are never put into a cage, but that they have stalls for the dogs who are waiting. I have 2 rescues and the thought of putting a rescue into a crate when I drop them off for a bath is horrifying. The Grooming Shoppe goes above and beyond to make sure that my pets' needs are met. One of my dogs had some pretty horrible mange when I first got her and the Grooming Shoppe gave her a medicated bath every week for over a month. They also are very quick to get the job done so my dogs aren't stuck in their shop all day long. This is a much more personal experience than bringing my dogs to a chain store, which is where I used to get their grooming done. I definitely recommend this shop to ANYONE with a dog who needs some pampering. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they don't just turn customers away just because of the breed they are! I have NEVER seen my dog so scared. I used this shop twice because it is close to home and reasonably priced. First visit I asked to not cut his tail they cut his tail. I let it go and tried them again. I asked for a round face I got the opposite . I am not a complainer nor do I ever leave reviews. I thought the cut would just grow on me. I noticed they did not cut his nails so I had to go back which is when I asked for them to fix his face since it is was exactly what I asked them to not do. I watched the Groomer cut his nails. AWFUL. I've seen my Vet cut his nails 1 2 3 . He was clearly in pain at the way she pulled his paws backwards and side ways to cut his nails. Having to muzzle a 7 pound puppy while he cried and I watched. I'm sorry but yearsssss of experience and you can not control a small dog to cut his nails. it was hurtful to watch him so scared that I didn't bother to fix his face. I will not be going back nor recommend this shop to any dog parent in this area. Its bad enough most dogs don't like grooming. Get it correct the first time. Pay attention to what is asked for! Politely apologize for your error instead of making excuses and lastly learn to handle dogs better that they don't feel tortured . My heart broke watching my dog cry in so much pain over a simple nail cut. I could only image how they are treated when you leave them for hours. My dog is sweet happy, playful and super friendly. as soon as I pulled in the lot he freaked out. The energy there is clearly not something he every wants to experience again. I had my first visit at the grooming shoppe and they did a wonderful job on my Maltese! My dog was very matted prior to coming in and they tried to keep him as long as possible. I was really happy with his results as many other lazy groomers would have just shaved him down to his skin! Biggie was shaved short but not too short which I appreciated. I also loved how they kept his face long. I actually recognized my dog!! They had also called me 15 min prior when my dog was ready and he was waiting in a small doggy pen (not a cage) for pick up. Have taken my dogs there 3 times. 2 of the visits resulted in my dogs having scabs along their spines from de shedding. Very upsetting. I de-shed my dogs in between grooming and never have I made them bleed. Will not use them again. read more

for the 1st few times our poms have been to grooming shoppe, they did a fantastic job on grooming the dogs.. This last time which was done recently, they did a terrible job on the hair cutting. 1 dog, the cut is so uneven. Does not even look like he had a bath! Not only this my 1 dog did not want to go in the compartment, so she was dragged in. When dogs were picked up, leash that was left with the employees was lost. These people did not even suggest on crediting us on a price of a new leash, or suggest since this had happened because of their carelessness that they can give credit for the next haircut on the dog that the leash belonged to. They didn't even apologize for their carelessness. They had a very poor attitude about this situation. will not be going back to them again! I do not recommend anyone bringing their dog to these people. read more

I was desperate to get my two girls (German Shepherd and Whippet mix) a bath, and was only in town for the day. Not only did Sue fit both girls in between appointments, but both she and Becca did an AMAZING job on the girls! My smaller one is not great at the groomers, and they must have worked some magic-not only was she apparently good during her bath, but she wasn't crazy upon pickup! Both girls are still so soft and smell great almost a week later! 100% recommend!! read more

My son brought our dog in for his appointment, and thought the service and location were great, and the shoppe was very nice and really clean. Susan, the other owner, whom I read has 30 years experience, groomed our dog and did a wonderful job; the best my dog had ever received! I take my black lab here. They do an awesome job with him, very clean place, and great prices. Also they don't crate the dogs, they have an area with dividers so the dogs can have their own space. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. read more
