Starbarks is now my go to groomers, hands down. My Yorkie has traditionally gone to a popular…read moregroomers in Hoboken but they became increasingly inconsistent in their work quality and unreliable. After searching on Yelp I came across Starbarks and finally found a winner. Believe in their reviews--they know what they're doing! I I called to try to get my dog in the same day but they were already booked so I took an appt for a few days later. They seem to be against overbooking which is good. Their shop is modest but clean. The owner/groomer is kind and takes their time with you. When I had trouble explaining the type of cut I wanted, they pulled up a massive photo library of photos of dog they groomed on their computer and helped me to narrow it down. They told me it would take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, but within an hour they sent a text and told me my little boy was ready! So they are very efficient. When I got him he was groomed EXACTLY like how I wanted and pictured in my head. I was so nervous they would only half listen to my request like other groomers but they did every-single-thing I asked. My dog is also very friendly but fearful of many things, so I was scared they would have trouble with him. Thankfully they knew how to handle him and were tender from the very beginning. Generally speaking on my dog's style, he got a puppy cut with ears and tail kept long, and shaped/tapered. Not only did everything come out fantastic but their prices are SO much better than any of the other groomers in the area and MUCH closer to my house. THAT'S the type of experience I expect and appreciate! I will only be coming here for now on for my dog. Thank you Starbarks!

I'd asked for a quiet slot and there were other dogs in, which is expected obviously because they run a busy shop. :-) My dog shut down and refused to go near the wash station. One of the owners read him better than most people read dogs: greeted him correctly, gave him space, and waited until he'd settled before offering food rather than pushing it at him. My dog took it from his hand. When he then got brave enough to start barking at the other dogs, the owner asked him to stop, and he did -- for a man he'd met ten minutes earlier. We left without a bath and I tried to pay anyway. They wouldn't take it. If you have a nervous or reactive dog, this is the place. Book ahead; their site says Wednesdays and Thursdays have the most openings and weekends fill fast. I know I'll be taking my dogs there for years to come.

The best part is that they have a daycare option where they'll keep her for a total of 6 hours (including the grooming) without charging you for daycare--anything more, you'd have to pay but still, that is a great deal!! My only gripe is that they dont have a camera we can access in the daycare but that's not even that big of a deal. This is definitely our go-to place for our grooming and daycare needs.

Best hidden secret, for sure. The prices are extremely reasonable, the pets are not put in cages and my maltese always looks great. My dog was always a nervous wreck before and after every grooming appointment with our previous groomer but that has never been the case with Paws and Suds. Just based on my dog's demeanor, I can tell that they take great care of their furry customers even when their parents are not around. Willy and his staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

They make everything so easy for me -- they do both pick-up and drop-off (only $10 each way on weekdays and $30 on weekends!), which is huge when I'm working long or weird hours and can't get home in time. They also literally have everything I could ever need in one place: daycare, boarding, veterinary care, and grooming. Peach has boarded with them before and it went perfectly. And the grooming? They do it while she's already at daycare and then drop her off at home clean and fluffy, so I come home to a happy, tired, freshly groomed dog. It's the most convenient thing ever. The grooming prices are very reasonable and the quality of the grooming is the best she's had (and we've tried MANY groomers). They're incredibly responsive over text and email, which I appreciate when I'm at work and can't call. And one of my absolute favorite parts: the daily report card and photos of my dog every single day so I know exactly how she's doing. Plus they have a live webcam you can access from anywhere -- I check in on Peach from work all the time and it always makes my day. I truly can't recommend Strut Your Pup enough. They treat my dog like family and make my life as a busy dog mom so much easier.
