Came here after a horrible experience at the Petsmart in Secaucus. My pup comes back to me happy, clean, and fluffy. I love that this place is kennel free. The only thing I am a little worried about is the lack of information they needed from me, like preferred Vet or emergency info. read more

I have two huskies and Paws and Suds has been very attentive and thoughtful about their grooming. My older husky sometimes gets hot spots and they will use a calming oatmeal wash on him instead of a perfumes shampoo to help soothe his skin. My younger husky has some separation anxiety so they work with me to schedule them appropriately to minimize stress on the little guy. They do such a fantastic job and they are so sweet and kind. read more

I was so worried to take my dog to a new place because she gets nervous and a little scared to get her hair done. The mobile grooming was amazing she looks beautiful and smells so good. read more

Great place! The staff was nice, my dog looked and smelled great, and very good price!

I didn't expect the groomer to be yelling at my dog STOP IT and in front of me he called her "maricona" even though he apologized, super unprofessional. She was left with scrapes from the blade. read more

I saw a mobile grooming van parked outside my apartment today and decided to call. My dog hasn't been groomed in years. It was a very impulsive decision but I wanted her hair short because she sheds and it's getting warmer and warmer outside. So it was an easy appointment to set up. I dropped my dog off and picked her up in 45 min and she looks so good! And she smells good! She usually stinks. They even cut her nails. I'm completely satisfied. read more

We brought our two dogs here for baths on a weekday without an appointment. Paws and Suds were able to give the dogs a great bath at reasonable rates, which is much appreciated when you have two dogs. A few days later both my dogs still smell great. My dogs have double coats which means they are impossible to dry and shed a ton of hair, especially after a bath. I'm not sure what Paws and Suds did to them, but I have noticed since their baths both dogs are shedding less than usual. read more

I have been going to Paws & Suds for a couple of years now. I have a Maltese & a Cockapoo. They both always come out smelling good and looking beautiful. I have recommended friends to this grooming shop because I never come out disappointed. I do recommend that you make an appointment. It's very hard to do walk ins. read more

After the amazing job Willy did with my yorkie I decided to take my Min Pin there who had a mild dandruff problem due to the previous owners diet .... Been a few days but I can honestly say that his dandruff has cleared up significantly .... Willy also offered a few tips at home I could do to help with his dandruff haven't tried yet but again I must proclaim how amazing this place is and what a wonderful job they do Love! read more

Took my two huskies to get groomed a couple months ago. because of an emergency had to take them elsewhere recently. but I'm far more comfortable taking them here. they seem happy when I picked them up and I feel like they're very transparent People. Very unprofessional over priced dog didn't even smell clean. My moms dog came home sick laying around VERY lethargic. He didn't even come on command as he always does or want treats which he is VERY motivated for as is any other dog. He had so many episodes of vomiting diarrhea, it was to many to count. When we contacted the groomers he said nothing was given to my dog, which makes no sense because there was chucks of human food in his vomit. I work in a vets office and this doesn't just happen over night. In the grooming place there also was a sick cat laying around in the lobby, which as far as I know should be isolated if sick. read more

Great job with my two anxious dogs! The groomer was very nice and asked a lot of questions to make sure I liked the haircuts and what I would like to see differently. read more

Paws and Suds does wonders with our badly behaved schnoodle, Benny. The groomer is so, so nice even when our dog acts so, so mean, and Benny always comes back looking extra cute and sweet. Thank you to the miracle workers at Paws and Suds! We truly do not know what we would do without you. read more

I want so badly to like this place but for $70+ all in I feel the cut my dog got should have been better. His butt was not cut as shirt as we requested and his whole underside was choppy and uneven. read more

My stylist to the best ever. He loves me really loves me and all his clients, and their humans. His salons are spotless, he does fabulous work is kind to me and gentle, we aren't placed in cages until our parents pick us up so it isn't stressful, like when we go to the vet! Mommy never has to wait long either, and I am perfectly styled each and every time. Mr Willie helps to find furever homes to really good families too. When I called and told him I wanted to adopt a family guess what? He found the perfect family , just like I asked! How cool is he for helping me adopt my mommie?! And he loves all of us, us furbabies and our people are truly his family. I'm serious! For real he gets sad when we are not feeling well, or when we go to rainbow bridge, he is concerned when we have a visit to the vet that isn't just a check up He is so cool look at my hair! Isn't it great people always stop us asking who does my hair, and mommy tells them . You gotta bring your fur kids here seriously I promise you will never want to go anywhere else I know it read more

MUST READ!!!! I went to this place last year when I went to visit some friends and we took our fur babies to play and lets be honest there is no clean pups after running in the park, so this is how it started it all came thru google when i was looking for a place that was open at that time to save my life so i found it, called and they were able to accommodate me in the same day, wich now i know i was lucky that day because they require an appointment so i went met a lady who i believe is the owners sister in law, she was very nice, polite and professional i just asked for a bath so my baby didnt came back home all smelly, so the lady did an amazing job, i have to mention that their prices are super affordable and very well done job for the money that i paid for so i was super happy for my baby, when he came back to me he was wagging his tail and happy ohh and it was clean normally he smells fast when not well bathe but i can tell you they are truly amazing and i would recommend them to everyone so if you are in the area or live near by i suggest you to give them a try, Thank you so much guys xoxox read more

Beautiful job,! My dog was sooo relaxed the rest of the day and suffered no anxiety. Scheduled another appt already. Highly recommend!!!

My reason for 1 star is not for the groomer, but for the older lady assisting her. I took my puppy there and there was the groomer and an older woman (I'm assuming it might be the groomer's mom?). The groomer was very nice, but when i went to pick up my puppy, the older lady is very rough. My puppy was on the floor and she grabbed and picked him up so roughly by his little arms. He is only 6 pounds. It was so scary. I peeked at the back and saw a dog growling at her. Then what sealed the deal was when she told me that he wouldn't sit still while they were cutting his hair in his face so they "had to use force". I will never return, that made me so nervous and scared to ever bring my dog there. read more

It was our puppy's first grooming and they did an excellent job. Having two groomers helped us feel more comfortable that they would be on top of whatever came up. And considering the cost for two groomers, it was inexpensive. They will now be our permanent groomers. read more

Paws and Suds is a convenient, efficient and thoroughly cleanly, safe environment for my Shih Tzu puppy, Cher. I first met Willie, the owner in 2014 for Cher's very first haircut at his first location off of Manhattan Avenue. I was so upset to find out that he had moved...but it turns out that Paws & Suds new location was only a few short blocks from home at a slightly larger place!! The facility is bright and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Willie's principles, family-atmosphere and kind heart are what makes this place a rare inner city gem for our four-legged friends. Here are a few of the benefits: 1) Convenient corner storefront location (near parking, walking distance from Plaza) 2) Scheduled Appointments 3) Clean & Maintained Facility (It always smells good there) 4) Cage-free Care (no prison lockup for your fur-babies!) 5) Full service (includes bath, grooming, ear cleaning, etc.) 6) Reasonable prices 7) Kind, knowledgeable staff 8) Secure Facility (have to be buzzed in) 9) Friendly Owner Willie gets to know you and your pet(s) personally and always does his best to accommodate your needs while keeping it a professional and calm environment for both. I highly recommend Paws and Suds for your pet's grooming! Cher and I are happy lifelong clients! read more

I was in a jam to find a groomer in a hurry since my dog was being spayed in 2 weeks and had the worse matting. Willie answered my questions so quickly and thoroughly that it put me at ease as a new client. They were able to book us for the following a Saturday and we were the first appointment. They did a phenomenal job! So good in fact when my dog came out I asked whose dog was it and was looking for my dog! He walked so proudly down the street walking home, I swore I heard the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack ! Their rates are reasonable and they take good care and call you if any changes occur. They open at 10:30 even though Yelp has 9:30. There is a good crepe shop next door if you have to wait. They seem to have 3 locations and a mobile grooming van - no Hoboken service for the van though (there's no Hoboken parking) . The Young lady who did my dog's cut was so sweet and amazing I did not unfortunately get her name but she was a rockstar! I have finally found my groomer and it's within walking distance!! read more

At first I was satisfied with the service from this groomer because of my yorkie was groomed well. It wasn't until about a month later when the problems started. My dog does not live or spend any time with any other dogs. My dog now has Ringworm after visiting this groomer. I will not be going back here and will continue to take my dog to Petsmart. It is not worth saving $10 to now have vet bills to worry about. I also paid to have my dog's nails cut, which was not done. The vet noticed the long nails when my dogs ringworm was initially being checked out. Very disappointed, the owner really is nice, but I guess not too clean if Ringworm is going around the salon.;( read more

I have brought my dog chubby to this location multiple amount of times and have been very impressed with the quality and the time they put into my dog. I cannot say enough good things about Elva & Paws and Suds!! I live in NY but my mom lives in Union City and while visiting her I took my shitzhu to get groomed and they did such a fantastic job that I continue to only use them and as a result visit my mom more too :) Super professional and accomodating and my dog doesn't freak out when I leave him there which used to do with our old groomer. highly recommend! read more

Great customer service and work, the store was very clean, the. Staff is very careful with the dogs

Excellent dog groomers. Always feel very confident bringing our baby (shitzu) there to get a cut. Have been to other places and hazel (baby) always had a look like she had been thru hell in these other spots but here she doesn't respond that way. Plus they do an awesome job with her and if you have any problems with the result they will fix it. Also just very nice people. read more

I've been bringing my Toy Fox Terrier, Foxy, to Paws and Suds for about 2 years now and they are by far the best at what they do. I've had dogs my entire life and have had some bad experiences at other shops but with this shop it has always been a good experience. Their prices are affordable, the shop is super clean, they do what they say they are going to do, not once have I been disappointed. Foxy races up to Elva her groomer wagging her tail when we get there which tells me she treats her well. Elva usually does his grooming and has always been spot on. The wash setup they have is great too. Everything you need is right there and it's very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this shop to every dog lover who wants to be at peace when they drop off their precious pets. I have recommended Paws and Suds to many folks that are looking for a reliable, responsible, caring and honest pet groomer with super reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed! read more

I've been going to Willie for months now, he does such a great job with both my dogs, even the one with the not so great temper. He keeps his shop very clean and I always feel my dogs are safe when I drop them off with him. As for grooming, he does a phenomenal job and completely evens out the fur very well. Will definitely continue brining my fur babies here. read more

What a terrible experience. Very unfortunate since I have come here twice before. They are inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Also very tiny cramped place. Had called three times over three weeks to make an appointment.zero return calls. Tried one more time and finally someone picked up so I made an appointment. Went on the day of my appointment and they were clearly not ready for my dog. Put my dog on a chain in a room with three other dogs, even though I have told them in the past , and in person that my dog isn't the best with other dogs. Nevertheless he seemed fine, I asked the owner the last two times we put him directly on the bath. Same he needed to check what he did last time . Couldn't find any records which is possible since he had the wrong dog name and owners name. He proceeded to do nothing but argue with me. Very very bad attitude. I would give zero stars if that was an option. read more
