Bought a 2025 Kona EV 1-1/2 years ago from Wayne Hyundai. Cruise control crapped out and they would need 3-5 days just to diagnose it! No loaner car available for a month. Up to now, service has been great but this is a huge disappointment. I hope that the dealership is not having any problems that cause this very inconvenient delay. I'll try again next month to get this warranty problem mitigated. Otherwise, I'll have to go elsewhere and send my complaint to Hyundai directly. read more

This review is gorgeous Genesis of Wayne. I. Bought a 2026 Genesis from Genesis of Wayne. Everyone who worked there was professional and courteous. My salesman was Jeff. I highly recommend him. It was my 5th Genesis. I bought a GV 80. Drove it to Florida later in the month. A great ride! They had to send registration to me in Florida and when it came in, they send it overnight to me. In the market for a Genesis, go to Genesis of Wayne. read more

My appointment is 11:15 at 12:45 they still haven't taken my car in , it's a simple oil change. I bought the car in September they offered free oil changes, this was my 1st one and it will be the last! Why make an appointment if u just want to get me into the building and have me wait forever. bought brand new 2024Hyundai kona in October 2023, in Wayne nj, just under a year in August 2024 started having issues like while driving the car lost electricity for a miner, the supervisor totally blew me away stating since it's back running then I'm all good shortly after rhe right side of the screen starters to glitch and blackout , have gone to service many many times with no results either come back because this is just a maintenance appoitment so I made special appointment but since the screen was working again was told to come back, I took off from work running to dealer so they can run code when my screen was black but service manager in Paramus the lady was very rude, didn't want to give me her name as she don't know me whi am I to ask her name, she did not run the test in my car and told me to go back where I bought the car. Made another appoitment as I was told so we can get a loaner for me while they will test my car but it might can few weeks when arrives was told hyundai don't do loaners and if there is I need to be on waiting list which tha specific appointment was made few months later that I will get something to ride to work. Was sent home again, called corporate and was promised this issue to be solved I even got a dealer call September 3, 2025 that within 10 days I will get that long wait loaner and I can leave my car but never anyone called me with that loaner so I called again and guess what was told there is no loan whomever I talked there is nothing in the system that I'm not waiting list for anything. so disappointed with Hyundai, I'm first time Hyundai brand owner and regret so bad, never buy it again or recommend for false Hyundai advertisement how Hyundai is the best warranty ever and customer satisfaction guarantee it's a scam and lie. If I wanted to buy a car without a working radio or not working GPS, Bluetooth or camera or CarPlay I would definitely bought it with great cheap price meanwhile I thing I'm buying brand new best warranty out there car that will be with me for years is a big lie and mistake read more

Had a problem with my Ioniq 5 and had to have it towed to Wayne Hyundai. Bryan in Service assisted me, and he could not have been more helpful or friendly. He kept us informed every step of the way and texted us updates so I didn't have to call. They finished the repairs earlier than they estimated. I had an appt for an oil change and was told when I got there it was a 90 minute wait. They told me that is a typical wait time for an oil change. Why take appointments if you're going to make people wait that long? I left and will not be back there for service read more

After driving off with the Tucson on 3/8/25, the problems started. On 3/25 I started receiving daily calls from the previous financial institution saying the dealership never paid off my old car. I called the dealership on 3/25 spoke to Fred (salesman) returned my call & never followed up. Called him again on 3/27 & 28 no call back. I then tried calling the finance department 3/30 & 31. Simon finally called me back and said they are "working on the check". It's 2025, there are no "checks" . They are quick to make a sale, and quick to ruin your credit. read more

So disappointed, I was charged $144 to change a cabin air filter?? I never agreed to that price. I am not stupid. Totally taken advantage of. I called several times and nothing. I emailed nothing. I had the worse experience at the Hyundai dealership in Wayne New Jersey after buying my Hyundai car. I felt cheated out of my money and literally humiliated after taking in my car for several recalls. I got charged twice for diagnostic fees even though it was recalls. After they gave me the car back saying everything was fixed for the recalls and the was ready: I drove the car home and it literally turned on the freeway. I had my car towed twice and they said I had to pay $6000 for a new engine. So i refused had had the towed back to the house. When I opened my car to get some paperwork, I noticed that the Hyundai service technician left a large engine piece in the back seat. Then I opened the front hood and there were many pieces layed on top of the engine and the battery. The service technician never put back all the parts he took out. What a crooked mindset and full blown discrimination because I was an American Middle Eastern. From the Hyundai mission standard, the company gives highest respect to white people only. Whereas, if customers were Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern, African American and Hispanic we are all NUMBERS not human beings: the Hyundai service supervisors train their service technicians not to respect their cars and minorities are disrespected, overcharged and ignored. I urge everyone not to trust Hyundai dealerships for their service repairs on your cars. Hyundai supervisors will give you a fake smile and greeting then a kick in the "behind" later. Hyundai service technicians were found deliberately swapping your good car parts and replacing them with old pieces so after a couple months or so later you will have fix your cars again. That's cheating, dishonest and that's how they make dirty money off minority customers while white customers are given new car parts. Please watchful, vigilant and ask questions. Never allow Hyundai supervisors to step on you and treat you as a NUMBER! We disserve better treatment and fairness as well just like white customers. Shame on Hyundai supervisors for not verifying completed work from their service failing technicians and trashing my car! Do not buy Hyundai cars, they are very unreliable filthy cars! read more

I own a 2025 Tucson with a company-wide complimentary 3 yr maintenance package. I purchased a brand new Ionic 5 from Wayne Hyundai. The reason I purchased this car was because it was a limited in gray paint and black interior. IT HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE FOR A LARGE PURCHASE I have ever experienced. I implore you to find another dealer. I'm writing this as a second review. The first 1 star (0 star) I shared was forcing us into Capital One financing when we wanted to pay cash. This review is in reference to how horrible the service is after the sale. Something that I did not consider is that I have to deal with this dealership after my purchase. I can honestly say Wayne Hyundai has no interest in their clients. Their policy should read "Give us your money and get out" Just contacted Wayne Hyundai to get a DIGITAL copy of our Bill of Sale that I need for our taxes. Their response "you have to come into our showroom to get it" - "we will not email documents" Um, I said DIGITAL copy - why would I have to come in? I live in Washington State.... "Sorry you need to come in to get a digital copy" READ ALL REVIEWS OF WAYNE HYUNDAI FIRST - PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP read more

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Wayne Hyundai was so frustrating that I felt compelled to share. I leased a 2022 Tucson and was nearing the end of the lease when the internet manager promised a low financing rate due to the vehicle's low mileage. Expecting a quick process, my wife, infant, and I drove from New York to New Jersey to finalize the paperwork. Upon arrival, we were shuffled between sales consultants, only to be told the promised rate wasn't possible because the person I spoke with was new and misinformed. To their credit, They apologized for the error and offered me a full tank of gas but we already filled up prior to coming to the dealership. What should have been an hour-long visit turned into a 3-hour ordeal of renegotiating terms, with an infant to tend to during this ordeal. Since I was completing the deal in New Jersey, I had to surrender my New York plates and was told I'd receive new ones for re-registration in New York. After signing everything I was walking out to the parking lot and the finance manager had to run out because he forgot to take a payment at signing. Over a month later, I still haven't received my plates. My first call revealed they hadn't even started the process, and I was told to call back. The next week, I was promised a call before the day's end with answers because they just sent an email to the NY DMV, which never happened. After more calls, a representative of the dealership was nice enough to began updating me via text, only for me to learn the dealership failed to process my insurance binder and ID cards during our visit and never completed the filing for my plates. I'm now stuck with a vehicle displaying an expired temporary plate, waiting for resolution. The dealership's lack of follow-through and disorganization is astounding. If I hadn't persistently followed up, I'd be even further behind. We chose Wayne Hyundai because of a decent past experience at their old location and the false promise of a good rate, but this visit was a disaster. The entire process was chaotic, and it's clear they don't prioritize customers post-sale. I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership until they address these systemic issues. read more

Would give a zero if I could! This has been the worst car experience of my life. Not only is there always something wrong with the car but there are no appointments for weeks (sometimes months), never any loaner cars and when you do get an appointment, the car sits for days before it gets looked at! No manager calls back or will see you face to face. I recommend you Call corporate and get a case manager assigned for all issues to at least have documentation of their unprofessionalism and lack of follow through. Oh and nothing is EVER covered under warranty! Would never purchase a Hyundai again. read more

I'm so disappointed with this dealer.  Purchased a car in November 28 2023.  Now it's January 31, 2024 still no car registration yet.  The sales representative never reply to emails.  It seems like after he makes his sale, he doesn't care about finishing with the customer.  I didn't even get a bill of sale from him. They made a mistake by registering my old car instead of new car. Despite my repeated attempts to follow up and resolve the matter, the responses from your dealership were inadequate, and the issue remained unresolved. This experience has made me question the reliability and professionalism I would never buy a car from them again!! read more

The worst leasing experience. This company does not respect American veterans. I leased a new Palisade from this dealership. I have special Army veteran license plates from my previous vehicle. Instead of doing a simple plate transfer, this dealership put in for new regular plates. The salesperson, Fred, repeatedly lied about the status. Eventually, my 1-month temporary registration expired, and I could not use the car for one week until receiving new plates. But these are not veteran plates that I earned with my service to this country. Fred and his manager were completely unsympathetic and refused to remedy the problem or reimburse me. Now I have to deal with the DMV myself and pay more fees to switch to my veteran plates. read more

I recently purchased a car from Wayne Hyundai and it was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I was nicely greeted by Bryan C., he was not pushy or aggressive. He helped me find the exact car I was looking for. I was able to take the car for a nice test drive. Before I left, I was made an offer that I couldn't refuse! The transaction was effortless, with no hidden surprises. The car was cleaned and I was given the key! The best part was, Bryan took the time to review with me every single button inside and outside of the car! Never have I met a salesperson who was actually knowledgeable!! Since then, we have been emailing to ensure my happiness and answer any new questions that were not resolved by the owner's manual. Great experience, highly recommend! read more

DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP OR BRAND! i was pressured into signing a lease and trading my lease early. Waited hours for the car that night instead of being able to get it the next day done. Wasn't even given an inspection sticker and charged for past leases payment when i did not have the car and i agreed to the trade in was not even advised once to turn off any auto pay or any other settings. My original post seems to have been deleted. So, here it is again: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT waste your time by going to this dealership.  Sadly, besides the fact that they aren't willing to negotiate, they treat loyal repeat customers very badly.  It started with Allison and Araceli, refusing to give me any pricing through email or text.  When I spoke to a gentleman today, who I assume was a manager (I can kick myself for not getting his name), told me they are instructed NOT to put any pricing in writing.  Shall we say SHADY???  DISHONEST??? This would have been my fifth Hyundai, my third from Wayne (2011, 2013, and 2019), but clearly they do not know how to treat VIP customers.  Whomever was just texting me (Allison, Araceli, or the manager) had the audacity to insult me and tell me that they have a less trim line that is within my budget.   They also used the same excuse someone else wrote about in their review of inventory is limited right now resulting from the pandemic chip situation.  They have the vehicle I want on their lot and they refused to negotiate.   They also say they will beat any offer.  Clearly they don't do that...clearly it is just a ploy to get someone to go to their dealership, keep them there for hours playing the "I have to talk to my manager game," and hopefully wear a person done to seal the deal.   I am VERY big on customer service and being treated well.  If that is done, you have a customer for life.  I will also recommend you to my family, friends, and co-workers.  HOWEVER, if you don't treat me well, you have lost a customer for life AND I will steer people away from your dealership.   Lastly, it sickens me to read a review someone wrote about how this dealership took advantage of an 84 year old dad.  THAT IS DISGUSTING!!!  SHAME ON YOU!!!!    Wayne Hyundai, would you want someone treating YOUR father that way???   So, please do yourself a favor and NEVER give your business and hard earned money to Wayne Hyundai!!!! Wayne Auto Mall & Wayne Mazda. Same people. Last Oct 2022 I tried to get an appointment for a simple WARRANTED oil & filter change. They told me my next available appointment was in MARCH of 2023!!! Glad it's not a priority...for THEM! So since I am a low mileage driver I said the heck with it... NOW, I get a recall for my 2020 Elantra and try to get an appointment for it and the oil change I was to wait for in October...still following??? Seriously, not many miles have happened since then so I'm glad it's synthetic oil. The web appointment put me (with a RECALL guess it's not that important..........TO THEM), AND I am now waiting till August 29th 2023!!! Suddenly, I receive a phone call from some one who saw I was making an appointment from the web...day late, dollar short. I admit to blowing a gasket, as it were when she tells me the REASON is because there are OTHER people getting work done too????????? That is a BS reason...of course there are other people getting work done...it's called being in BUSINESS!!! Isn't it interesting that I am being told the same 6 month period is the wait time? I love the car...have always enjoyed the sales people but I may NEVER buy another car from any of their dealerships on Rte. 23 in that area again, since they are one and the same owners.
