From the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel genuinely welcomed. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help without being pushy. That kind of environment makes a huge difference, especially when making a big decision like leasing a car. This time, I had the pleasure of working with Jacob, who was absolutely outstanding. He was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly personable throughout the entire process. He made sure everything was seamless from start to finish, and what really stood out was the extra time he took to walk me through all the features of my new 2026 K5 before I drove off the lot. That level of care and attention is rare and truly appreciated. Jacob is a huge asset to the dealership, and I highly recommend asking for him.     This is an update to my previous review…read more I was waiting to hear if my media system was covered. I didn't realize when I bought the car after my 3 year lease, that the warranty was through a third party. They wouldn't cover the media system and the cost that was presented to me to fix would be $1500. Kia first offered to split the difference with me and offered the repair at $750. But that was still too steep for me considering the car was 5 years old already. Kia then offered me an amazing deal on a 2025 K4 which I picked up last night for my first month payment which is actually a few dollars lower than what I was paying for the 2021. Thank you to Roger for working this out for me and thanks to Jacob for being so efficient and professional. This is my families 7th Kia and they definitely insured more repeat visits.

    My experience with Kia of Riverdale was extremely frustrating, to say the least…read more Communication is terrible -- calls, messages, emails, and voicemails all go unanswered. The only real progress was made when I drove an hour and a half to deal with it in person. My temporary tags expired, and I was left driving on expired tags for nearly two weeks with no clear timeline for my registration or permanent tags. At one point, I was even told to just "get a ticket and they would cover it," which is an unacceptable solution to a problem they created. There was also an issue with the car that should have been caught during their "extremely extensive" pre-buy inspection, and getting reimbursed took nearly four times longer than what I was originally told. Dealing with them was frustrating from start to finish. Would not recommend.

The sales team was dishonest, evasive, and clearly trained to confuse rather than inform. Pricing changed multiple times, explanations never matched the paperwork, and every question was treated like an inconvenience. Nothing about the process felt transparent -- it felt calculated. Once they realized I wasn't going to be bullied into a bad deal, the attitude flipped completely. I was ignored, brushed off, and treated like my time didn't matter at all. Professionalism disappeared instantly. The finance process was especially bad -- rushed, misleading, and full of red flags. I would not trust this dealership with anything involving contracts, money, or honesty. Avoid Kia Riverdale at all costs. There are plenty of dealerships that don't rely on deception and pressure to make a sale. This place does, and it shows.

I lease a 2017 Kia Sedona…read more January of this year I started to have problems with it not starting in the morning and an increase in exhaust coming from it. I had taken the car in 2-3 times regarding this problem. 1st time I took it in I was told that it was from some minor sludge in engine and it was because I needed a fuel injection. Well I got the services done as they requested. However this did not fix my problem. 2nd time I was told nothing was wrong and to video tape the problem. So I recorded the problem however I never got a response. In June I was driving my car home and all my lights went on on dashboard (never even had an engine light on prior), and what I can explain as my engine seizing. I had my three children with me! I got the car over to Sussex Kia who I had been dealing with since January and it was closed due to Covid 19. A few days went by and they did not respond so I towed my car to Route 23 Kia in Riverdale. I was told it was my engine, it was full of sludge and because I did not do oil changes. However Jorge in services had assured me that they would clean it up and get it covered by warranty. I would maybe have some minor replacements that have to do with the engine. So I did not argue the fact I was being blamed for not getting oil changes when in fact I did and have receipts for proof!!! well between June and now my car had been sitting in their lot. I was told that they were waiting on an engine to come in. Friday I finally got a call my engine was in but surprise my starter was bad!! well its been sitting untouched on their lot for 90+ days so yeah. They wanted 600 dollars out of pocket for a starter on a leased car. OK, I paid it. I wanted my car back, I figured I will fight this and get the money back later. Wednesday I get a call my car is ready. I make the payment and tell them I will pick up my car that evening. Was told my car was test driven and cleaned. So I go to pick up my car last night and I am pulling out onto route 23 and I'm like what's going on. when I would straighten my steering wheel my car started to go off the road. What I explained to be my steering wheel upside down. SO I BROUGHT IT BACK AND LEFT IN LOANER AGAIN!!! I got a call this morning and was told it was not my steering wheel upside down because they do not take steering wheel off it was my Alignment (Scott the service manager). I honestly do not care what it was! It was dangerous!! This is insane. Who test drove my car and thought it was ok. I told them I do not want my car back because if they cannot recognize that my steering was off, actually undrivable, who knows what job they did on engine or on starter. RT 23 Kia service department does not know what they are doing. I have reached out to a lawyer as well as Kia consumers and Kia motor finance regarding this situation! I was also told by Scott that I need to return there loaner in two days no matter what because other costumers need it. If I'm that customer GO ELSEWHERE to get your car serviced! Also upon reviewing my receipt it was noted that my engine came in 7/3/2020. What took two months to install it. I have purchased from Kia 3 times and been a long time customer and service I have received this Year I will be changing cars! Kia Motors America Route 23 Kia

This year, I'm hit with a coolant and brake fluid/brake fluid charge. - obviously I have realized that the service department doesn't top off the levels and they want you to be below so they can charge you $300 a piece for everything when it goes way below. I am Very disappointed, and I will only use them for what is included within oil change service and nothing more in the future. The leasing side is still 5 stars but the service department side drops down to 2 stars because they don't top off fluids.

I purchase my car in 2019, long story short in the worse way, I walked out feeling ravished by the sales rep and manager. I came in for a oil change today , in 2019 I came to get my car repaired and walked out with a brand new car that I didn't like and it was too small. Lesson learned! So I called last night to get an appointment. Not needed. Okay, I came today and the guy asks if I have an appointment. We spoke and he says drive to fast track = quick oil change. Another guy took my keys, told me that he would send me a link for the finance program for auto repairs. I get a text trying to lure me into buy a car. Like I said lesson learned. Nobody hardly speaks and if they do, look away quick. Sitting in the waiting area, I started feeling hood and gangster. The radio playing loud enough to accommodate the entire show room floor. N word here, F that, F this, early in the morning. I'm just hoping that no one approaches me to try the sales pitch. I'm waiting to conclude this review to make sure I'm safe. SAFE! Loved Dave so much went back for a better and newer vehicle for my son. Dave WAS there at the time but today I found out he no longer works there. Their loss. Bought a Mercedes(2012) DID not haggle on price. Pd sticker price of 17 grand! My son left their w/ less then half a tank of gas, 1st of all. A month later it needed a strut total cost 700 bucks. Called 2x for the 2nd key. got the run around. On MY 3rd call I was told by Ms No Personality That that was it. no 2nd key BUT she would give me a name of a dealer to get a discount price! Can u believe that?? Every dealer gets u 2 keys! Never again will I go oR recommend ANYONE to this place. Not friendly. no personality. and to me...not a good dealer who will go above and beyond for their customer who bought a MERCEDES fr them! Plenty of other car dealers that will kiss ur ass as they take ur money!!! Her name is Alex....Hopefully they will get rid of her and business MAY b better! Customers will sure leave their happier!

I gave it up after checking with several mechanics that advised me it was dead in the water. Wouldn't even stay idling. I took a 6K bath! That's a lot of money to loose. A lot. For a car that lasted a couple of months. The car was leaking oil like crazy, so many problems I couldn't even list them all. The car would then shut off on me as I was driving. You can act like this won't happen to you but that's poor judgment in my book. Stay away. Gave them a chance to somehow make it up, even an "I'm sorry" would have done. Not a word.
