As a gluten free person, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Servers were knowledgeable and they had a lot of options. A very typical diner experience otherwise but I really felt like I couldn't go wrong!

Wayne Hills diner is gorgeous and the food is excellent. The diner to judge all other diners by.

This was my 1st time eating here. I stopped by because it was close to my location and the 4.7 star review was attractive. When I walked in I was greeted but when I was seated the waitress was snobby and rude. No smile and no eye contact. She dropped the menu on the table and walked away for at least 10 minutes. I saw another waitress coming towards me so I asked who was serving this table? The waitress for my table was standing behind me the entire time. She never provided a straw or refilled my drink. She walked past me several times only stopping once when she realized I was almost done. It was only then when she asked if I needed anything else. Of course I asked for the check. Prejudice and bigotry is a sickness. Being the only Black woman in the place and my hair was covered I could feel the stares. No one in that restaurant was indigenous to this land but me. It amazes me how immigrants come to America seeking love, wealth, freedoms and refuge from oppression in their own land BUT immediately know how to hate African Americans when they get here. And it's only because of the battles that African Americans fought, that other immigrants can come here and reap the benefits. Of course I'll never go back. And I'll be sure to tell my very wealthy family and friends not to eat there either. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the kind gentleman who met me when I walked in. Those stars are for him. Other than that, it's a huge zero!!0

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

I asked if I could do 2% milk with my latte at 8am with only 1 other table in the restaurant. Waitress told me it's whole or skim. I asked if she could mix them, half and half. She said it takes too long for the bartenders... I said "there's 2 people here, mind if you make an exception?" To which she followed up with "no, it's a rule." Okay fine... I'll settle for my $7 latte I guess. Following that, I ordered the mushroom thyme omelette, the second bite I took had a full on hard stick from the thyme I almost choked on (not chewy, hard - see pictures). I decided to let it slide, these things happen with fresh herbs. 2 more bites in, another massive stem stick jabbed me. If I had given my daughter either of those bites, it could have been scary. I sent it back. I love their coffee, and the shukshukka (botching the spelling). But for how much you pay, their service is inconsistent and these errors are painful (literally). I'll likely come back for the coffee and vibes but won't be bending over backwards to do brunch here.

Great for meeting up with friends, maybe even small groups (depending on the size of the group). I ordered a coffee and scone. The scone was not too sweet, which I really liked! They clearly use real ingredients and don't oversweeten recipes, which is comfortable to digest. The scone was a bit dry and hard and didn't give the flare of flavor I was hoping for-- I'd ordered a Mexican chocolate scone and wanted to taste deep smoky chocolate and spice. The flavor was much milder and middle of the road. I saved most of it but ate it over the next couple days. Tasted better once the flavors set in I guess. The coffee was just aiight though. I a huge coffee fanatic so this one hit home. Wasn't bad by any means, but didn't spark my soul either. I explore lots of vegan and GF places, and if you're in the area, do go check them out.

No they do not have cheeseburgers. They have breakfast and steaks. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, jalapeño onions and pepper peppers. The jalapeños could've been a little bit hotter because they were not fresh and out of the jar and unseeded. Ordered the slider, which is kind of crazy we think about it. It was seven dollars. not much of a selection, but cold drinks which is a bit unattractive in case I wanted a hot drink, which was never offered. When I turn around to look at the seating, I noticed a filthy floor with tons of shoe prints assuming from the week passed, most of the tables were dirty with crumbs grease or seats had food on it. Found the cleanest seat made it home for myself for the next 20 minutes. The cheese stick was great. Bread was also very good, but I thought it was just more bread stuffing than meat until I actually got my hand into it. Didn't wanna look like a pig, so I use the fork so did my daughter for her slider and made room to stuff the battered fries inside of the steak. Like many things, the size of the sandwich was smaller, but the meat made up for its place(phrasing) the batter fries were very good, my little one immediately stated that this is her new favorite place. A little bit pricey for what I ordered a slider a can of soda order fries and a cheesesteak was over $30. And this economy, I think these people should reconsider on their prices if they want to stay open. Yes, this is in Wayne, New Jersey, where the kids get direct deposit into their allowance and don't really care what they're spending because they don't have jobs. The menu is extremely limited with maybe four toppings for your cheesesteak your fries or any other sandwich that they may come up with. They offer a milkshake, but guess what only three flavors. What I personally think would help this business is post like this to attract other people to try their product and see where it goes. A little bit more sanitary environment for this restaurant would be good maybe a couple of plants with some more decor and please remove the cheeseburger because it distracts the people from ordering what they really want. Hopefully in the later future, they'll have more of a selection on their menu, but until then their cheesesteak is pretty good. I will give them five stars because there's a lot of room for growth of this new business and I would recommend more people to come and try out their cheese sticks, which is very good.

We had several servers handling our order. To start, I had a hot tea with honey. The honey was an interesting consistency and was not as thick as expected. Seemed to be a little watery but the taste was good when mixed in my tea. For appetizer, we split the Crispy Ddukbokki which were sweet & spicy crispy rice cakes with a side of a soft boiled egg, topped with everything seasoning. We both really enjoyed the flavor of these rice cakes. For my main course, I had the Rainbow Salad with grilled chicken. The portion was very good and all of the veggies in the salad were super fresh. The presentation was very pretty. Parking can be a bit tricky but luckily we were able to find parking on one of the side streets. Overall a cute little breakfast/brunch place in the Glen Rock downtown.
