    Good hot dogs!
    Greg T.

I had thought it was a Texas hots "hut" but it ended up being a diner. That's not a problem as they have a good variety of food. I ordered the hot dog and a coke and I was very satisfied

Pretty average diner. Place was kinda empty but there was a lot of take out orders that I saw while I was there. Food was alright. Got the 3 egg platter which was good. Coffee was not the best but it's diner coffee. Service was missing. Had to flag the staff down if you needed anything. There was wait staff who was nice but again, missing. Ambiance is nothing to write home about. Generic diner

Another in a long line of New Jersey hot dog spots I can scratch off my list. The New Corral is consistently one top New Jersey hot dog spots in most lists so I had to give it a try. It's an old time diner hidden in Clifton near Paterson. Looked very clean, sadly empty due to Covid but they were busy with take out while I was inside. The girl at the counter was polite and helpful. Now to the hot dogs. Ordered one all the way (chili, raw onions, and mustard), one with kraut and mustard, and a plain for my daughter. I can see why they make the lists. Was a very good hot dog and a different chili than some other hot dog spots. No nutmeg in it....had the flavor of something I couldn't figure out but it was very good. The kraut was good as well. The onion rings were standard but also hit the spot. Would definitely stop back in here for a hot dog....maybe try other items on the menu as well.

It was my first time going to this diner and I must say the food was great and the service was amazing. Our server was Adriana and she was an absolute doll. Though the food was good I must say I will be going back because of the service. She was so attentive and cared if we were pleased with our meals. Just so sweet. And the food was so good.

Five star for a small neighborhood family diner. Owners and staff polite and knowledgeable. Food is always hot and is presented beautifully. Cash only but you don't mind since you get a lot for your money. I love the salads and haven't finished one yet! See photo of tuna salad platter. I know people complained of the hot dog chili but that's not something I eat other than at a backyard barbecue!

This business should really change the sign on the street. Those are not Texas Weiners!!! The first whiff of cinnamon as the servers put them down should have been the tell. Meat? Spice? Nope!!

Since being taken over, the food has gone down hill. The service is abysmal. The previous owner should take it back!

Pretty good dogs but the chili is an acquired taste , a lot of cinnamon, and some other spices make this chili's flavor unique.

There is outdoor and indoor dining but since it was blazing hot out I opted to stay inside in the cool AC. Came for brunch on a Sunday so had to try their sangria. It was really refreshing and perfect for a warm day. For entrees, we ordered the short rib hash, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs. I had a little of each, but my favorite was the short rib hash. Great flavor and the sauce was fantastic. The steak had a perfect cook on it, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful as well. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. He recommended a good dessert which we ended up splitting. When in doubt go with the chocolate brownie Esther vanilla ice cream !

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The portion size was good but again no real taste. Overall this was a nice place. I just need to study the menu and read more reviews about what to order here.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
