This is a nice place to stay in East Nashville. Definitely Boutique style, so don't expect the Ritz. Do expect quirky Industrial style and sparse decorations. As another reviewer noted, a few more lamps would be nice, especially at the desk. Anyhow, the beds are fine, the pillows a little overstuffed but overall the property is nicely kept up and is clean. The check-in/bar setup is unique. One thing to note is that the building itself is a little noisy, I'm guessing because of the heating and cooling. Bring some earplugs or your white noise machine. On the plus side, there were plenty of working USB A ports and electrical outlets. One whole star for the onsite free parking and the affordable price ( I used Agoda). Stayed here for 2 nights and the hospitality was very kind. Checking in was easy and they mentioned the amenities they offered. The stay included wine hour from 5-6 where you can get a glass of red or white wine for free. The rooms are comfortable with black out curtains, heavy blankets which was a plus for the cold air blowing at night. We LOVED our stay at Waymore's Guest House. Elijah welcomed us at check-in and informed us of everything available for us to enjoy during our visit. The location is perfect for enjoying numerous eateries in the neighborhood or hopping on the bus to responsibly enjoy hot spots like music row and the gulch. Nashville area has lovely golf courses so we had fun's filled days and evenings followed by comfortable nights at Waymore's. Don't miss the roof top at Waymore's. It's a beautifully designed space (lots of plants and thoughtfully done seating for any size group to find a space and feel like you have it all to yourself) plus a view of the Nashville sky line! read more

We arrived in the evening and there was no front desk (counter?) person so I guess the bartender was doing both jobs. He seemed put off that he had to check us in. No affect, not welcoming at all. The lobby has a really cool/young vibe with couches, various sitting/cafe table areas and a photo booth. Very lounge-y feel to it. We had to park on the street while we checked in, as you need the key card to access the garage. The garage itself does not feel too secure because it's just one of those arms that raises for you to drive in and the fencing does not enclose the garage completely so anyone could walk in off the streets and mess with your car. That was probably my biggest worry while staying here. Thankfully you need a key card to access the building and elevator from the garage, so at least they thought of security in that way. I felt safe once I was inside. The room itself was good enough, with an industrial feel. Bed was comfy. Nightstand lamps had built-in USB ports, which was convenient for charging our phones. Closet was just a built-in hanging rack with shelving--adequate enough but could've used a couple more hangers. They provide a clothes steamer, which I was not too crazy about. I feel like it doesn't do as good a job as a traditional iron and takes so much longer to get wrinkles out. Hair dryer was adequate. No complaints about the room except that the lighting is pretty dim, but didn't want to open the windows because the view was overlooking the main street--not pretty. I was concerned about the location because when we were driving there we passed what looked like projects that were located not too far from the hotel, but it turned out to be fine safety-wise and it's not too far from where the action is in Nashville, so a quick and easy Uber ride away. Would I stay here again? No, probably not. But if you're a younger 20-30-something-year old, you might like the vibes here. It is a cool place to hang out. read more

I love finding hidden gems and the food menu at Waymore's is truly one for the books. Billed as a guesthouse, Waymore's is more than a boutique hotel. Serving a brunch menu from 7 am to 2 pm and a bites menu from 3 to 9, Waymore's offers a number of options for something to satisfy your hanger in a chill and low-key atmosphere. I've been for brunch and lunch and feel like my experience has just gotten better and better. The grilled cheese comes with 4 different cheese that ooze and drip out as you bite into the sandwich, fresh crusty sourdough, pesto, and sun dried tomatoes (ends up tasting a bit like a pesto pizza but better.) The tots are crispy, salty, and perfect. The beyond sausage that comes as an option at breakfast is truly one of the best I've had. I can't wait to try more of the menu. Dog friendly inside, if you sit in their lounge area, which was wonderful as there are so few eateries that are dog friendly inside. Cozy lounge chairs and games throughout the area with hip decor. Small but tasty coffee menu (lavender honey latte is not to be missed) and I haven't tried their drink menu but hope to on future visits. Easy parking behind the building, making the experience so easy. Just a stunning, funky, and tasty place to grab a bite and leisurely hang out! read more

Booked a one night stay for my boyfriend's birthday, it was absolutely perfect. The bedding was so nice and cozy I didn't even miss my own bed. It's was very clean and a beautiful atmosphere. I'm a big fan of hotel bars so it comes as no surprise that I like this one too! I've been twice so far and it's lovely. They have plenty of seating options: couches, booths, chairs, bar seating, etc. One time they even had live music. First time we just had cocktails and they were delicious. They are on the seasonal/inventive side of the cocktail scene. The second time I got a very earthy and delicious mushroom dip. Highly recommend! If you want an easy night or maybe just a place to start or end your night, this is the place. I also saw they do brunch but I've never experienced it AND a rooftop bar is on its way. read more

We stayed at Waymore's for two nights a few weeks ago when we were back in Nashville for a wedding. The hotel's location is convenient (the wedding and almost everything we were doing were in East Nashville or Donelson, so it was perfect for us), and it has some parking (not enough for everyone to park in the garage below the hotel, so overflow is street parking behind the hotel). The lobby is cool - very of the moment design-wise. They have a cafe in the lobby where you can get coffee and breakfast. Price is reasonable for Nashville and its location. Our issue with the hotel was the service. We got a call on the afternoon of the day we were checking in asking us what time we were going to arrive. I said we had an 8pm flight from the East Coast and would be in around midnight. They said that was cool. When we showed up, we were told they didn't have a room for us, that they were out of rooms. The staff member who helped us - and she was very friendly even if she was very confused about what to do - made a call in the back room and then said they had found us a room and they wouldn't have to transfer to us to another property (we had booked through a third party so she had initially told us they would transfer our reservation to a different hotel). This all took about 20 minutes and there was a couple waiting behind us in the line - I think the same thing happened to them. The room they gave us was a handicap accessible room. I appreciate their finding us a room but the handicap accessible rooms aren't the best if they aren't needed (shower without a lip, shower usable with holding the shower handle only, etc.). Something else weird in the room that really bugged my husband is that turning off the light in the bedroom turned off the power to the outlets near the bed so we couldn't charge our phones (I figured out that if we left the light switch in the hallway on, that that fixed the problem). I really do appreciate that they found us a room without transferring us to another hotel after midnight. And she was genuinely trying to figure things out. Ultimately, their overbooking their rooms and the confusion this caused when we checked in kind of put a damper on our stay. Ultimately, not a place I'd prefer to stay again, especially since it seems like Nashville is half hotels now and there are so many options. read more

Vibe was as pleasant as can be. The parking/check in situation is a cluster as there is one tiny spot so you can get a key to get back in your car and to the parking garage. Bed is not comfortable and I am 5 foot 3 and my feet hung over the edge. Not enough lighting in the room, it's all on or all off. The air conditioner makes some clicking noise all night so had to turn that off. It's a cute vibe just not lux. I wouldn't stay again but it was clean and maybe just too modern for me. read more

A unique hotel with a hybrid upscale/vintage aesthetic. Purely on the merits of the uniqueness of the hotel and the quality of the room, I was quite satisfied. Price wise, there seems to be much fluctuation depending on the day and vacancy. I do quite like that the hotel seems to be made from a repurposed industrial/factory building; but it can at times feel more like something out of an art catalog rather than a place of respite and peaceful solitude. Likewise the corridors are very long, narrow, and unwelcoming. Whether this was made for a particular reason, I cannot say. I can, however, offer my bias against such an aesthetic. Next, here are the primary factors that made me less satisfied; whereas I otherwise would have proffered a four-star rating: Upon check-in, we were subjected to an additional fee which was not clearly advertised at the time of booking. Upon inquiry, we were told this is for parking. Upon inspecting the posting on an expedia, this is notated as a resort fee. Whether it is simply posted in an ambiguous way, be it from the merchant or the host, I cannot say. But again, judging simply upon what is, I do not care for the lack of clear and obvious transparency. To see the fee, one must click on the details portion of the advertised price and then go into depth to look for the breakdown. Perhaps this is an issue of buyer beware but it still significantly impacted my partner's mood and appreciation of the experience. Regardless of how you may fall upon the issue, I was quite disappointed by the receptionist's nonchalant and dismissive attitude toward my partner upon this topic. With that said, I will say that the parking quarters are quite tight but are secure. And the security is quite high tech. Quite useful, given the area is not exactly the safest. But then one might also offer the rebuttal regarding staying in an area with safety concerns. I can go either way on this. What did annoy me, however, was having to wait in line for about 20 minutes because access to the secure parking garage is limited to those who have a hotel key card to present and swipe upon entry. A person in front of me seemed to either not have her key card, be it due to forgetfulness or leaving it with her travel partner, or having had it become demagnetized. As there is not enough space on the adjacent road to turn into the parking garage as well as within the parking garage lane to turn back, myself and another person behind me were stuck while we waited for this person to receive assistance. By the time I had actually made it back up to my room, having first checked in and then immediately after seeking to take the car to the garage, I had felt exasperated to the extent I no longer desired to go back out and make use of my time in Nashville; but obviously, I did, as there is no time to waste when traveling. One thing that annoyed me but which I cannot entirely fault the hotel upon, is their tendency to text you with offers for an additional night's stay at a reduced price; after check-in, and likely as a function of vacancy. If you are indecisive or book things last minute, this can be quite viable. If, on the other hand, you are organized and deliberate, this would vary from being useless information to simply adding insult to injury due to offering information at the last minute when it is no longer valuable for consideration and incorporation. Though not explicitly the fault of the vendor and I am unsure of how to come upon this issue as well, there is mention for a free beverage upon check-in, one for each person per day, up to two people, per room, as per the listing on Expedia. I did not receive my beverages and if I recall correctly, the bar was not in operation when I had checked in sometime in the late afternoon/early evening. While I am unsure of a remedy for this exact incident, it was not major enough for me to make an issue of it; but at the same time it is something that was advertised. The principle kind of thing. The last issue I have is entirely not the fault of the hotel and for that reason I do not include that within my rating even though I still post it here for everyone to read within my composite analysis. While I have experienced a great number of antisocial people, I encountered a particularly high amount within this hotel. Are they travelers? Are they locals? Are they people who have connections to locals, or recurring/ wayward/transient/former locals? Who knows. Is it a Nashville thing? Is it a big city thing? read more

The only thing I didn't like was the lighting in my room. I do like to have overhead lighting if I need to see something, like for packing, and there was plenty of this, but aside from that I prefer low lighting, lamps for example, and there weren't enough of these. I stayed here in June for a work trip and had a decent stay, but this hotel has demonstrated poor management and a complete lack of customer service after I had some personal items thrown away by housekeeping. This has left me fuming after I was promised to be reimbursed for the items but still haven't seen a dime three months later. I tried contacting the hotel's management multiple times over the past three months to resolve this issue, and they told me numerous times that a check was on the way but still nothing.
