We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Holston House! Everyone at the front desk was incredibly friendly & helpful. I was able to request a record player for our room, & I browsed their very ecclectic vinyl collection in the lobby several times. We also bought a few beverages from the grab & go cooler, and appreciated the convenience. Our room was a Premium King room, upgraded from a standard 2Q & also a bit larger, and we loved it in spite of the quirky layout. We also had a minimal view but appreciated zero street noise. The love seat was comfy, and we had plenty of outlets AND trash cans. In the main bathroom, we had two substantial towel hooks (metal rods), AND the shower featured a large metal rack on the back wall to hang lots of wet items including shoes. Speaking of the bathrooms, the toilet in this room was separated from the shower, in what I called the "hall bath". This water-closet was right by the entry door to the room, and included a corner sink. The space with a giant walk-in shower was not adjacent; it was by the bed, and featured a large vanity with a second sink & a sliding door. The vanity also had a 2-sided mirror on it's own stand, so even though the bathroom lighting was mediocre, I was able to sit by the window with this mirror for better lighting. Our room didn't have a proper closet but this wasn't a big deal for me. I always bring an empty spray bottle to fill with water to de-wrinkle my clothes so the open-air clothing rack worked well for me. This piece of furniture also had a number of shelves behind a cabinet door as well as a large drawer, but I don't unpack like that. The ice bucket was an insulated stainless steel double-wall container, which was fantastic. I still had unmelted ice every morning! Interestingly, the ice was pre-bagged & stored on each floor in a small freezer at the end of the hall so you could grab a bag or two & go. No ice machine noise, but every bag was frozen solid so I had to break it up to use it. Overall, I think I like this concept! We also had a minifridge that initially didn't seem to work, but we determined it was working eventually. It had no visible settings to adjust & felt warm when we arrived, so it was confusing. We ultimately decided not to eat any of our leftovers, but our beverages did stay cooler than room temp. Just a couple of nominal critques: - We couldn't find any "do not disturb" doorhangers, and housekeeping walked in on us napping one afternoon since we hadn't used the security lock. - The rooftop pool deck was super crowded but not sure all of the saved seats were for people actively in the pool. - We really could've used an extra pillow or two, but the four we had were extra long & we made do. It was just late when we realized & never asked for more. We loved the rooftop pool but it was packed on Saturday afternoon. Luckily, the pool bar had plenty of seating until we found an open cushioned loveseat in the shade facing the pool. After that, we weren't paying attention and/or quick enough to snag any chaise lounges that became free. However, I did enjoy the curvy loungers IN the pool, in the super shallow water. I also enjoyed a few local brews from the bar throughout the afternoon. And the Broadway views from the pool & deck were fantastic! While killing time for about an hour on our last afternoon, I wandered up to the lobby bar for the first time to take some photos. Completely void of patrons, the bartender was extremely friendly & asked if I wanted to see one of the hiding spots for booze during Prohibition. OF COURSE I DID. She led me to a staircase and slid out the edge of the bottom step to reveal a hollow space with room for a few bottles of liquor. Very cool seeing that history! The location of Holston House is perfect... literally around the corner from Broadway, and less than a block away from multiple honkytonks, museums & restaurants. So close to the crazy, but far enough to be quiet & relaxing. I can't wait to plan my next visit to Holston House!

Had a great stay at Holston House! We booked a Standard King Room and found it clean, comfortable, and stylish. The boutique decor was thoughtfully done and really fit the vibe of the hotel--modern with just the right touch of Nashville charm (they really leaned into the Vinyl record theme with they keycards and door hangers) The rooftop pool was a nice perk, especially in the evening when we went back up to hang out and enjoy the fresh air and semi-decent views of the city. The location is hard to beat--just a short walk from Broadway, the arena, and Assembly Food Hall (Hattie B/Prince hot chicken both there). What ever you are in Nashville for, this is a super convenient spot. The staff was friendly, and we appreciated little touches like activities in the lobby and complimentary drinks during them. Check-in and checkout were smooth, though our room keys inexplicably stopped working on the second day. Minor hiccup, easily resolved. Only real gripe (and I'm nitpicking now) the main entrance is very tight coming/going from the hotel but the valets are super friendly and helped with the doors. All in all, a fun and well-located hotel with cool amenities. It's not a steal price-wise, but it delivers the experience you'd expect for the rate. Definitely worth considering if you want to be in the heart of the action without sacrificing comfort or style.

Great location and really friendly staff. You could easily access Broadway and many restaurants. The room was spacious and the rooftop pool area was very nice and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again. Onsite restaurant and bar which wasn't my favorite meal but the staff was welcoming and so conveniently located at the hotel.

I visited Nashville for a quick weekend getaway and Holston House checked off all of the boxes! The hotel is centrally located and is right off Broadway in the heart of downtown, so you are just a minutes walk from all of the honky tonk fun. It's also across the street from Bridgestone arena - perfect for my weekend plans because I had tickets to a show there. The hotel itself is sleek and modern, it feels pretty new. The room is spacious and has a comfy bed. The best part about the room is the large marble shower and the delicious smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Oh, and the coziest robe! There is also a bar / restaurant on the premise which was perfect for snagging a quick coffee before heading into town. Right now they have a pop up Willy Wonky bar (Wonky Bar) which looked cute. Just note that it is a ticketed experience, so plan ahead if you'd like to visit. Overall this was a quick and pleasant stay and it's a good pick if you are looking to visit Nashville and spend time around the Broadway area. Highly recommend!

Weekend trip to Nashville with friends. Checked in to this hotel. Very friendly staff and helpful. Practically on broadway which was great for the nightlife. Didn't try the on site food but did have some of the complimentary drinks during check in and it was very refreshing. This place is very instagramable. Liked the art deco/music themed vibe. Nice rooftop with bar and pool. Very quiet stay and beds were not my favorite but I really think it's just personal preference so I didn't hold it against them. Would stay again

Here on business, we came to the bar and it being Christmas time, we were looking for eggnog. Hailey at the bar said they'd run out of it. Joking around with her complaining we needed 'NOGG!" She disappeared after her shift. We had given up on the idea of having any but she reappeared (having run to the store on her own time) with eggnog. She made up three tasty concoctions with brandy and nutmeg ON THE HOUSE for us! A special thanks to her manager, Rosario! Great people and a great hotel!!! Thanks for the holiday cheer!

AMAZING location! Very close to Broadway and all the Nashville night life! Beautiful hotel, great bar and. Restaurant, and nice rooms. My HUGE complaint is the fact I paid extra for a "deluxe" room only to be stuck on a corner with a view of the garbage area, the view wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't no joke the LOUDEST hotel room I've ever been in. There were trash bins slamming all night, trash trucks going in and out all night for some odd reason and a horrible nights sleep. Maybe it would be better if I wasn't on the second floor but this room sucks. Looking forward to the the next few nights of no sleep. Asked about switching rooms but they're apparently booked solid even though I saw many people leaving in the morning. I am a loyal Hyatt member, honestly I would have taken a down graded room to get me away from all the trash noise but honestly an upgrade or credit should have been offered but wasn't. The room and the poor customer service are the reason for two stars.

A usual fan of the Hyatt brand but.... Requested a quite room...apparently that does not exist as we were given 3 different rooms neither of which was quiet. I called a week or so asking about some amenities which they said they could accommodate but upon check in, they could not. The sofa had a tear, the bathroom floor was soaked after each shower ( poor design), shower tiles were not clean, and quite a few maintenance issues I didn't expect to see at this price point. Vanity lights had a glow-like nightlight feature which could not be turned off. No room service. The staff was friendly and the proximity to downtown activities were highlights.

I loved my stay at the Holstein House. It was located close to all of the action on Broadway and just a short Uber ride from 12South, the Bluebird Cafe and Green Hills. The lobby is beautiful and smells heavenly. My room was spacious and clean with hardwood floors instead of icky carpet. The website pics of the rooms are accurate. The one thing I appreciated the most was the soundness of the doors and walls. I didn't hear much neighbor noise at all. The staff here are SO FRIENDLY. All of them were helpful and very nice (I see you Chase!).

They cheapened the breakfast and the nightly snacks/bar drinks. We stayed 3 nights and given the cost was 293+ tax the first night 393+ tax and 493+ tax for the Friday night, they are really taken advantage of people coming to Nashville. I am a Platinum Marriott Member and Gold Hilton Member and usually stay there. The first room we were given was on the lowest floor overlooking their rooftop with air conditioners. I was able to change it for a 19th floor room with a city view. Back to breakfast....All 3 days was scrambled eggs, sausage patties, square potatoes, biscuits and gravy. They had a large grill but were not doing omelets. They did them in the past. You could make a waffle using the same units at all hotels like Hampton and Holiday Inn Express. Higher end hotels will make them for you. They had apples, bananas and oranges. The bowl of fruit (matched the hampton's) but there's was wilted and soggy (cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple and grapes). Last day they had non. Milk was out of a machine and yogurt was 1 flavor along with hardboiled eggs. They did have pancakes off to the side by the grill and cheese you could add to your eggs. The "fantastic" sitback and enjoy spread was a joke. 1 night pseudo chicken alfredo. Another night horrible pork bbq and tacos the last. All nights had baked potatoes and chips with salsa. My wife was shocked at how downhill it went. You were given 3 bar tickets per person. They now limited you to 5 specialty drinks (1 being Margarita, 1 cherry flavoring with vodka and sprite with sour mix ) or regular water downed drinks The only positive was you could get fountain pop all day. From 4 to 8pm they popped popcorn in the lobby. I had to remind them 1 day. The fitness center was nice but the pool didn't open until 9AM. I wanted to do at 830 before heading out. I am on eastern time while they are on central time. There is no restaurants in the hotel. I don't count the bar with limited options for food. See my pictures for the menu. The rooms are very basic. They were clean. I had to chase the cleaning staff each day for more towels and even toilet paper! The hotel has no concierge. Parking is $42 a night for self-park. The location is very convenient but so are several other hotels.

I was able to book our 4 nights through a combination of Hilton Points and my annual free night off my Amex credit card. Such a deal! And as a Diamond member, I had use of the Executive Lounge and a $30 food and beverage credit. We all had a very pleasant stay. The room was roomy and comfortable, the shower water was hot and strong, and we slept well. Our window faced towards the Hockey Arena, and there was selective Broadway-related noise in the evening. That became background noise soon enough that really didn't affect sleep. However, I suspect that this Hotel is due for some refurbishment as the armrests on the couch were worn and at least one cabinet molding came off. Housekeeping sometimes came late in the day, and after they skipped us after the first night, we made it a point to remind them. As for the $30 food credit, we used the convenient coffee kiosk by the elevators often. Fruit, cookie bars, coffee, and other snacks were often available at the Executive Lounge, although I found this to be one more basic offerings that I'd experienced with Hilton. We didn't really figure out how to have a proper breakfast here, but there were plenty of excellent choices within a short walking distance. The Italian restaurant (separate review) was a pleasant surprise one night for dinner, in terms of value, good food, and excellent service. Then there were the 3 elevator banks, one of which was out-of-service, and required knowing that there were 2 call buttons to keep track of. Parts of the day did require some waiting as every floor (of 10) was often in play. As we headed back to the airport yesterday, I agree with my brother-in-laws comment that with all the location and room positives, this hotel lacked a certain character. Maybe it was size, maybe it was good service without a lot of personality, or maybe because of where they are, they can mail it in occasionally. Or maybe the little things we noticed started to add up. I'm a loyal Hilton Honors member, but if there's a next time for Nashville, I might look at some of their other nearby options.

To be honest, this hotel is on a whole another level than what I normally do. Since the conference is here, and we have a booth, I drove up from the Atlanta suburbs. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Jon, who was the first valet that got to me. Super friendly, and helpful. I owe him an apology, I thought I gave him the keys but since it wasn't my normal vehicle I apparently kept them in my pocket. He had every right to call me an idiot but he was laughing with me as I sheepishly handed them over. Josh helped me unload my car, with my suitcase, and boxes full of stuff for our booth exhibit that will be set up on Tuesday afternoon. Friendly guy, helped me get a luggage cart and get to the front desk. From there, Jon was the person tasked with helping me get my bags upstairs to my room. Jon was awesome, talked about places to go, what's around, and if I needed any advice he could help. I grabbed a map and he took a pen and marked where the hotel was so I could get my bearings easily. Raj was manning the desk where I was waiting, and he was also really professional and courteous.
