We were told to seat ourselves so we sat out in the patio because the weather was nice. Took a bit to get noticed, & by the time our waitress came by, it was 10:33pm & we were told the kitchen closes at 10:30, but they were nice enough to go ahead & finish our order, but just a heads up. Food came out pretty quickly & the staff gave us a heads up that the only beer cheese they had left for the nachos was from the bottom of the pot, & to let us know if it tasted off & they'd remove it from the ticket which was nice, but I thought it was fine. We ordered the pub Reuben, bratwurst, & southwest pub nachos, & a Belgian blonde ale. Pretty solid for pub food! It's not going to win any awards but they had a good drink selection & the food hit the spot & is very reasonably priced for eating out nowadays. Would recommend for a chill hangout spot to grab a beer & share a bite, but it was crowded even at 10:30 at night!

This is kind of bar that creates community. It felt pretty full circle but also an honor to hang my grandpa on the wall of gramps. He left Memphis for California decades go and has since passed. I left California about a year and a half ago for Nashville and when I saw the chance to hang his picture up here it felt right. So naturally this place is super special to me and I love coming here with my cat Riley who is a little celebrity in here.

It's cute and divey, with an expansive patio that is always packed on a beautiful day. My husband and I stopped in right after a rainstorm around 2 PM, which is probably why the bar wasn't too busy! We ordered some drinks and a late lunch as well. I went with the Steak Pita, which was massive and stuffed full of meat, cheese, greens, and two tasty sauces. Crispy sweet potatoes were served on the side. Honestly the pita and the sauces were my favorite part of this meal. The steak was flavorful but a bit chewy. However, my husband ordered the Chopped Cheese and it was delicious! Also stuffed full of mix-ins, and with a bit of Greek-inspired flavor. The seasoned fries on the side were also tasty. I'm sure we'll be back soon to take advantage of their awesome happy hour deals. And judging by other reviews, it sounds like I need to try their falafel!

The cheeseburger was definitely a step above typical bar food. I'd give it a 4/5. The food took about 20 minutes to come out, so a little slow, but manageable. I'll definitely be back. We then proceeded to place an order of food. We finished our cocktails and finished our food. After waiting for about 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us, we waved one of the bartenders down as she approached the cash register and requested to close out. The bartender seemed bothered that we flagged her down and quickly turned back using a micro aggressive tone and responded that she needed to complete helping a customer before she can help us. I have worked in customer service/food and cocktail industry and her tone/response was completely unnecessary. We have been to a few "dive" bars in the past In CA, NY, AZ, TX, AL and other parts of Tennessee and we have never encountered a response like that before. Maybe it was a busy Saturday afternoon or maybe they do not cater to diversity. Regardless we will not be returning.

Beer selection: Decent, but not massive. A few local beers on draft or packaged. Food: Damn if that's not one of the best thin-crust pizzas I've ever enjoyed. A nice crunch but not Saltine cracker thin. Any pizza - $18-$26 - is easily a meal for 2-3. I had the Tavern Style, not knowing half of one would be more than enough, and was wowed. A nice spicy zest from the peppers went well with the saltiness of the sausage. Took a bunch of pizza with me to go. My Uber driver taking me from the Opryland Gaylord was telling me he never takes out-of-towners to Roy's, they all want to go to Broadway downtown to the tourist area, that Roy's is a quintessential fave of locals. So I got that thrill one gets of going into an ethnic restaurant and being the only white person there. In short, if I lived in Nashville, Roy's'd be my jam.
