It's a nice Thai/Japanese fusion restaurant that has a unique style that separates them from other fusion restaurants in their foods. If this restaurant was not too far out of the way, I would visit more often, especially for their duck noodle soup. The broth had a nice flavor and didn't taste fatty. I ordered the red curry and my partner got the Massaman Curry with Short ribs. His meal was definitely the star of the show with melt in your mouth meat and flavorful broth with potatoes. My red curry was flavorful but a bit too sweet for my liking lacking some of the umami spice I like with my curry. Lots of fresh veggies including broccoli, sprouts and peppers with chicken. The yellowtail sushi hit the spot!! So fresh and flavorful! Definitely some of the best sushi I've had in Nashville so far. For my drink I got the spicy marg which wasn't spicy at all unfortunately and just had a whole chili floating in the drink. We got into town pretty late and found this place on Yelp and had to try. For a Friday night, it was packed. We were able to get seated right away on the patio. Nice little breeze, only a little biting flies. We ordered red curry (no 3 spice) with chicken. It comes with a mound of rice on the side. Second dish the girls shared was the pad Thai with chicken, mild. Comes out on a GIANT bowl/plate. The best presentation we've ever seen. Flavor was good and generous amount of chicken. Third we got pho chicken. Comes with a little plate of raw vege and hoisin sauce and sriracha bottles. The broth was pretty good, not too salty, just right. Chicken was a little tough but that's expected, it being breast meat. The amazing thing we ordered was the salmon sashimi. Comes on a bed of ice and a beautiful floral shaped ice mini bowl. The slices were thick and it was the perfect temperature where it melted in your mouth. I loved the sprinkle of ikura on top, pickled radish and ginger slices. I even ate the garnish (shredded carrot and perilla leaf). We had the nicest server who was fantastic about keeping our water glasses full without us even knowing! read more

The ambiance is bar/tavern, with a bit of a worn look. The parking lot is small, so had to park next door (thankfully with their businesses closed for the weekend). I am always overwhelmed coming to BAB since the menu is so dang large but in saying that I did find a happy medium of eating things I have tried once and sticking to them I absolutely love their larb - its delish and crab rangoon (best I have ever had). The pad thai is good too just beware, it can be extremely spicy. I can tolerate heat but a medium at BAB is very very spicy and I can only handle a couple bites then I am done. The menu looked great, with lots of sushi and Thai options, but we were looking for Sashimi. The waitress was super helpful. We ordered the "Gold Sashimi Platter" for 2. It contained 20 large, thick slices of fresh fish and was beautifully presented in a large, iced bowl. We had tuna, salmon, white tuna, and mackerel (I think). The sashimi slices were so large I had to cut each one in half to eat them. This is a wonderful restaurant and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

I love Bite a Bit! Located in Riverside Village, it has a neighborhood feel to it. I've sat on their back patio (many times) which I love, but we dined inside this time and it was so pleasant despite how busy they were. We got a drink at the bar first, a Passionfruit margarita, and waited for a table. We dined next to the sushi chefs, which is such a cool experience that the kitchen is open concept and you can see them making your cuisine right there. We inhaled our appetizer, the fresh shrimp rolls with peanut sauce, and I got two sushi rolls for myself: The Hawaii Roll and Crispy Tree roll. The rolls were accessorized and presently so beautiful. The Crispy Tree roll comes adorned with gold flakes - tasty and beautiful! Christmas Eve night and visiting family, Thai/Vietnamese food was suggested so we put in an online order, picked it up, and chowed down upon getting home. First, the food was packaged nicely with no spills and the people at the front were gracious for us visiting and ordering with them. This gave us good vibes once we were about to dig in when we got home. As for the items, we went with the following: Pad Kee Mao Chicken: 7/10 Pad Kee Mao Combination: 9/10 Pork Jerky: 5/10 Chicken Wings: 9/10 Pad See Ew Combination: 9/10 Pho Beef Soup: 8/10 If you order any noodle dishes (i.e. Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao), you're allowed a protein and spice level. I would recommend the combination option which is all the proteins included. We did this for the Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao, both which were excellent. Maybe just a bit more vegetables and it would be 10/10. The Chicken version of the Pad Kee Mao was fine but after tasting the combination protein version, we realized that we should've doubled up on that. Nonetheless, we loved all those dishes. The Chicken Wings were also excellent, plenty of sauce and meat was tender. Wings are pretty good size. One of the drums was much bigger than the others, almost like a full drumstick size. The Pho Beef Soup was pretty good and quite spicy. The broth is flavorful and packaged well with the noodles, meat, and veggies/garnishes placed in separate containers. The only item that was average was the pork jerky due to the sticky rice being unable to be broken up, like eating a cooked rice patty. The pork pieces are juicy though. This is a favorite of my sister & family who live in Nashville so we'll likely be eating here again when I visit Nashville. Pretty good Thai eats for this city! read more
