Last week I was in Goodlettsville for business and I saw China Cottage in the same center. It was lunchtime and I went in to see what was on the menu. I opted for this dish that was mainly bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, a few scallops and sliced beef in a brown sauce. While it was tasty, I thought it would not stand up against any of the Asian cuisine I was used to eating in the San Gabriel Valley. I would return because it outshines any of the Chinese fare I have eaten in the White House area. I truly enjoyed my meal; it is just hard to measure up against where I came from.

We also did pan-fried dumplings, Beef Noodle Soup, popcorn chicken and one of the chicken Bao's. Everything was hot and delicious. And for the money the servings were generous and we had our food quickly. And the Nolensville location is three miles from our house. Can't beat that for convenient. We probably will be trying it for takeout next time. Glad to have dumplings in close proximity.

We visited on a Saturday, about 15 minutes after opening. There were 4 people in the restaurant already and by the time we left, it was busy. I highly recommend coming in right at opening for the freshest sushi and other offerings. Our waitress was kind and attentive. We ordered from the dinner menu since red plates are $5/each. For $27/pp, it made more sense. When you do order from the dinner menu, you have options to order hibachi, kitchen appetizers, and rolls without waiting for them to come around. We ordered gyoza, two miso soups, and a jalepeno tuna appetizer. We were surprised by how many red plates we actually did take and it definitely paid for itself. We will absolutely pay for dinner prices again. The sushi was fresh and all of the rolls we had were good. Again, this is about quantity. I'd say everything was better than a grocery store's sushi selection in comparison. We had a couple of desserts each but those almond cookies were definitely my favorite. Sushi Train is by far the best conveyor belt sushi I've ever had in the US so far and I will be back!

We usually come here once a month for dinner and have visited this location for a few years. I have two sushi loving kids so it is consistent quality - is it the best sushi in Nashville, no but it is its own experience and a good value for what you pay.
