From the lights, to the furniture, prices and of course the picture board menu above the counter. Everything about China Village screamed old school and also "this about to be good"! Sitting in a small, worn out shopping plaza just off of Highway 41/Dickerson, China Village is a solid spot for cheap, plentiful and tasty Chinese takeout. It is not much to look at and if you can get past the bars on the windows, you are in store for a treat. Delivery is not offered currently and you can technically eat in, but while there are tables there, it is not really set up for a good dine-in experience. I rang them up on a Friday evening to order (2) Sesame Chicken plates and (1) Large Wonton Soup. From order to arrival was about 20 minutes, and it was hot and ready! Overall, we are new to this side of town and while the whole "no delivery" thing is a bummer, China Village is definitely our go-to spot for a cheap and tasty Chinese night in.

Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful, tossing the whole order out.

My husband ordered the 3 Item Plate with orange chicken, kung pao chicken, char siu pork, and fried rice. We also tacked on some hot & sour soup and an order of shrimp and pork dumplings. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of those nostalgic Chinese takeout flavors we know and love. We'll definitely be ordering from here again, and will also stop in and check the place out in-person soon!

We went on weekend nights and only had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated indoors, which was to be expected as this place was packed with people and we would have been willing to wait longer if needed. We had two different servers, I unfortunately can't remember our first one's name but she was the one with stretched ears that normally wears her hair up. She was great and very thorough in explaining how the menu worked. The second night we had Lexi and she was super sweet. They were both fantastic and I hope to be seated with either one of them when we eventually go back!

The staff person said they'd credit us for that dish, but that doesn't make up for the fact that everything else was cold and inedible by that point. Nobody was particularly apologetic, which would've helped a little bit. We like to support local family-owned businesses but I really don't understand what's going on here. Why offer takeout when the way the kitchen works seemingly cannot sync with making food available when it's hot?
