First time trying Chopstick House and I have to say I'm impressed! I ordered my food through Ubereats and everything was still hot when it got to the house. Living on the west coast, I've become accustomed to egg foo young being served with everything outside of the patty. I'm so glad I'm back in the south where everything comes served inside of the egg patty. The egg foo young came with a generous serving of rice, 3 patties, and enough gravy to last! I was full after eating only one patty and there are leftovers that will be consumed over the next few days. I can't wait to try their other dishes. read more

Chinese food is my favorite and I try to eat at as many Chinese restaurants as I can. This restaurant may be small as a venue, but it is grand in taste and service. I ordered my favorite: Sweet and sour chicken. I asked for them to be cooked without veggies and that's how I received them. I chose pork fried rice along with that and that too came without veggies, just how I love it. The rice tasted good and was a good combination with my chicken. There are no refill fountains here, so to drink, you can either have a 12 oz can of soda or a 20 oz. I had a diet doctor pepper and the whole meal was satisfying enough to warrant it a return. My wife ordered a shrimp and chicken combo. She really enjoyed it, covered in veggies. She had the white rice with it and didn't finish the plate. read more

Have a summer job in the area and only have a 30 minute break. Decided to call in an order here to give it a try. They had it ready when they said and I didn't have to wait. They are very nice and the food is pretty good. They have some of the best egg drop soup, it's not too salty and has lots of egg but not too much. I called back the next day to let them know about my experience and the rude manager wasn't accommodating at all. NOT GOOD. The customer service is great the lady that works there is so friendly but from my experience the food only gets worse after the first time you eat there. First time I went I got vegetable lo mein and the sweet and sour chicken, it was so great that I went back the very next day. The lo mein was not as good so I decided to give them a break and waited a while before going back. When I returned I made sure I called in ahead of time so there would be no bias, thinking that it would be better but when I got there after the time they suggested, I still had to wait just for them to give me a lukewarm egg roll. The lo mein also tasted different but I could not put my finger on what was wrong. So after my third try I decided I would not call them anymore nor would I go in there. Instead I told my partner to go in alone. (Maybe the quality of the food is determined on whether they have seen the customer before or not) My 4th and last time I did not get the lo mein or egg roll because obviously it was not going to work with them and instead ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice (which you pay extra for) the rice ohhh the rice I'll have a picture below but it was terrible just rice cooked stove top nothing at all taste more do like the container chemicals it was sitting in more than "fried rice". (bit of a rip off) The chicken was fine but the sweet and sour sauce made me sick even from the smell. And there were no vegetables in the rice (which is fine because I guess you should specify that beforehand) but there were no veggies even for my sweet and sour chicken. I've had sweet and sour chicken from multiple Chinese and Thai restaurants and it always comes with onions, bell peppers, pineapple, etc like the first time I went but there was nothing. It was a huge disappointment and my partner said the same. We've both decided that it would be in our best interest to never go back and that's what provoked me to write a review just to make people aware. read more

My boyfriend and I tried this spot. I'm not a fan of Chinese food but he loves it. We decided to give Chopstick House a try since it's close to our house. He ordered the beef, broccoli, and rice. I had the sweet and sour chicken with rice. We got our food to go. Once we got home we discovered that his rice was burnt. Also my sweet and sour plate was missing the sweet and sour sauce. I went back to the location and got the sauce. And a refund for my boyfriend. Once I actually tried my food, the chicken was overcooked. I would not return here. read more

While passing through, I found high praise by Yelpers for Chopstick House. The place is tucked into a strip center space. The building seems relatively new, but the first thing I noticed inside was how clean the dining area was. That has nothing to do with newness and everything to do with effort and pride of staff and management. Secondly, the woman running the front end was very polite and cheerful. It's Asian semi-fast food where moms the world over can be glad we're eating most of our vegetables and the lunch combo pricing is hard to beat. You also get your own drink out of the display case (separately priced from the combo.) My order came out quickly, hot, and the eggroll was good. Compared to similar restaurants around Middle Tennessee, it's not tops for me, but definitely better than middle-of-the-road. I'd come back if the opportunity arises. read more

I always loved the food here and the prices were reasonable. I decided to stop by this evening as I had not visited for a few weeks. I ordered the general zao's chicken as usual and the lady who took my order recognized me and knew that I wanted the combo. Imagine my surprise when I got home with my food and there was no fork/napkin combo like they used to put in the bag. Not a big deal, I have silverware at home. The biggest problem was that they forgot the soy and duck sauce that was always included before. I called them up and I was told that they stopped putting it in the bag unless you ask for it. There was no sign stating this in the store nor was I asked if I wanted it. Now that I have tried the food , I have to say that something has changed. The food no longer tastes fresh like it did before. Maybe they changed management, I don't know but I will never go there again. The chicken is tough and not soft like it used to be. It looks like it was sitting under a heat lamp. I should have known something was not right when my order was ready so fast. It's a shame because I really used to like this place. read more

Brand new Chinese place by the Publix in Mt. View Marketplace. I am writing this review on the night of their grand opening (Nov 3, 2014). There are several tables here for eating in, or you can carry out. They also offer delivery within 3 miles of their location, with a $10 minimum order. I ordered chicken lo-mein with an egg roll, and my wife ordered vegetable lo-mein. What can I say? It's a nice, locally owned Chinese place. Food was good for the price, and for what I expected. I was told that the shrimp fried rice at the Chopstick was close to the Chicago style. Meaning no peas, carrots and with brown rice not yellow. I would say this was more similar to the shrimp fried rice from Chicago than other places I have tried in Nashville and the surrounding area. My only issue was the large chunks of onions in the fried rice so, the next time I will ask for light onions. read more

We ordered chicken fried rice, beef with broccoli, Mongolian beef, and for starters, crab rangoon and the Pu Pu platter. Everything came in generous portions. The family atmosphere is welcoming. I moved to TN from Major Cities Chicago, NY & Houston! I even have friends who are from China who cook for us & family who have been in the culture for years! So when it comes to eating Authentic Chinese food no question about it; I've been spoiled. However I know for americans like most cultures they have to soften or adjust their foods to Americanize it.
