Super fun bar, the front part has records for sale. They have a bunch of gluten free ciders but I tried a rice beer from Korea that was like a sparkling Sake. Very nice

Vinyl tap is so underrated!! Just come and get yourself a pint- you'll see. Vinyl tap is a very unique blend of a vinyl shop and a bar (mostly beer), who coulda guessed. Vinyl tap is a great location. Lots of places you can walk to near by if you wanted to make a night out of it. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. I always make a point to ask the bar tender what beer I should get based on whats on tap here. There was one time I got dream burger and wasn't really feeling a beer. I ended up sitting at the bar anyways and they were still so nice even though I had stated I wasn't going to be ordering anything at the bar. I appreciated that!

This is a record store with a bar and food option too. I only went for a look around but they have many options. The staff is friendly and they know all the music. Definitely a cool hipster spot.

The perfect spot to grab a draft beer and listen to some new music! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, they have a great selection of new and old, and it's a great balance of vinyl shop and bar. I haven't had a beer I didn't like here. This is always a great spot to sit back and relax!

Tons of records and even more local brews to choose. Vinyl Tap is one of my favorite East side gems. You get to drink while you shop, what's better than that? Tons of events too, so check their event calendar and Instagram to see the latest happening. Vinyl bingo is a new favorite of mine. I've found countless of rare records here and I'm sure there's even more to discover! Stop in! If you've lived here and never been, what are you doing?

Vinyl Tap serves as a great community space for music lovers and beer drinkers alike. You can often find live music or listening parties happening here, and you can browse their selection of vinyl records while you enjoy the music. They have a great selection of local artist records as well as local brews, you can tell they are well in tune with the Nashville community, which is why the community loves this spot! The Dreamburger truck outside serves up the best smash burgers in town on weekends, you can bring your burger into vinyl tap. Remember to enjoy happy hour at the bar on weeknights!

This is such a fun and unique concept for a bar! Can't think of what goes together better than beer and music! The beer selection is fantastic! We were hopping around, so I only had one, but I could have easily had more. There's even food! The music selection is impressive. If you're a music lover, this is the place for you! The vibe is laid back. The staff are super friendly. If I lived in Nashville, I'd be a regular!

This is a great place to have a beer and look through vinyl or do one of the other. The person the record side was very friendly. I'm sure like most shop's the vinyl changes. The bar side bartender was friendly as well with a great beer selection.

Very cool vibe! Record store mixed with a bar and DJ playing vinyl. Perfect start to my first Friday night visiting Nashville. Seems like the local hang too as I chatted with a couple who lived nearby. They gave me some great options for dining over the weekend. The vibe was so chill. They do have a few food options to snack on also. My drink was very well mixed by one of the bartenders and he was sure to add a cherry (luxardo not maraschino) IYKYK. I found some good vinyl picks to bring home so all in all this was an awesome place for me!

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat/drink while waiting on our Air BnB to become available for check in. Actually, that's kind of bullshit. We stopped here because I saw the building and it's obvious badassery and music tie in plus it's a bar?!? Omg. I screamed in excitement (and then in protestation as we were passing it) and nearly caused my fiancé to wreck my poor little Honda. I absolutely loved everything about this place. The noms, the drinks, the beer, the atmosphere, the people, the music choice. *shivers with delight* If I lived in Nashville this would be one of my regular haunts. I'm always up for a stiff drink, good food, great conversation with a bartender (and his beautiful wife), and for scanning through the latest vinyl records they've acquired. Hard swipe right on this place. Hell yeah.

First off this is a cool neighborhood spot to checkout; a bar, records and large screen tv all in one ! I didn't have a whole lot of time and only poked my head in for about 15 minutes as I was grabbing food across the street at Cafe Roze. Was able to quickly checkout the vinyl landscape which was comprised of 90-95% new/used rock/pop based music with small sprinkling of jazz and other genres. Could definitely come here to hang and grab a few drinks with friends

I've been due for a return visit and updated review for some time considering I first reviewed this place 6 years ago! Very glad they survived the COVID years and are still here. I stopped in this week because I saw they were hosting a meet and greet + record signing by The Watson Twins! Well worth a visit and it was great to pick up their new record, get it signed and have the chance to speak with them. That experience alone prompted my upgrade to 5 stars, cool that they host events like this. But the upgrade is also due to just an appreciation of the whole vibe this place has going for them. The bartenders and staff are super friendly and the craft beer offerings are on point. There are also some solid cocktail choices. Not to mention records! In addition to my signed TWT album I picked up a few new and used records from my wish list, including a signed Lilly Hiatt album and a used Leonard Cohen I've wanted for some time. My old review docked them for price--and, to be honest, records here are still on the higher end of things. I'd say prices for used and new LPs seem to run 5-10% higher than at other record stores in town. But I enjoyed myself too much to hold that against them now, and to be fair they have titles I haven't seen elsewhere. After a couple of beers I was totally fine with paying a bit more to support such a cool business and to ensure other future events like this one. The DJ was playing great music the whole time, too! I'll definitely be back.

Now that Southern Grist has been acquired by XUL Beer Company in Knoxville another Amazing brewery I've visited several times and watched grow. This feels like two epic forces coming together. Think of it like two legendary bands collaborating on a "Greatest Hits Mixtape." I can't wait to see what comes next from this powerhouse combo! Today I went with a couple of flights and here's how it shook out: Engywook - Wild stuff. The cinnamon and nutmeg absolutely jump out at you. A small taster was perfect for me it's definitely a conversation starter. PG&J Mixtape: Grape - This is my jam (literally). So good. Sweet, nostalgic, perfectly balanced. In my opinion, one of the best in the country. Freezes & Hoverboards - Solid beer, well made, just not my personal favorite of the lineup. Peach Black Currant Strawberry Hill - Very good. Big, layered fruit flavor with great depth. Strawberry Delight Hill - Sooooo good! This is a must-have. Bright, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Peanut Butter Copra - A stout with peanuts and a hint of toasted coconut. Let this one warm up a bit and the flavors really open up. Rich and smooth. Batch One Theory: 10th Anniversary Stout - Very good anniversary brew. I caught a subtle barleywine note blending into the stout character -- complex and interesting. Overall, this is a great place to sample some seriously creative beers. Plenty of space to sit inside or out, relax, and work your way through a flight. If you're a fan of bold flavors and breweries that aren't afraid to experiment, this is your spot.

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!

Honestly, I was just relieved we found a spot within easy walking distance. We arrived a few minutes late unfortunately and the lights were already a little dim so I couldn't see the place as well as I wanted. Our tickets and IDs were checked as we walked in. The venue is located on the second floor above another business. The steps are a little steep to watch your heels if you're wearing them! Inside there's a small stage and a nice bar. Seating is pretty limited but for our concert the vibe was definitely super high energy/party focused so we didn't mind standing up to bounce and dance to the music. The bar has a nice array of specialty cocktails. I was very impressed with the bartender, Marc, who was attentive, fun, and hardworking. He even went out of his way to help the performer when a few small details went awry on the stage. I don't drink super often and what I wound up ordering didn't taste quite like how I'd hoped it would, but I'm more than willing to chalk that up to my relative inexperience and general ambivalence toward alcohol. The sound/acoustics were great and the whole place was bumpin! I would advise bringing ear plugs to protect your hearing if you're headed to a loud concert -- you'll inevitably be fairly close to the performer and therefore it can easily be suuuuuper loud with the mics and amps and whatnot. I had a great time but will try to remember mine next time! The only main drawback was it got hot inside super fast. We stood by the open entryway for much of the conference and even that airflow wasn't enough to keep us from leaving very, very sweaty lol. Bring water! Upon entry you walk into the large space that holds the host(ess) stand, waiting area to the left with a few games and cocktail tables, then it opens up to the bar and the main dining area...if you walk through this area and take a hard left it opens up into even more seating...then you hit the door and wander into a delightful two-spaced patio! All the spaces have the M.L. vibe, they did not miss a beat there...but what this location does have that others do not is the large-suspended owl in the dining space leading to the patio. A cool piece for sure! We have no absolute favorites at M.L. as we have sampled our way through the menu across the city. A few go-to's are the chicken nachos and Sgt. Pepper burger, both absolute legends and always delish! I do also enjoy the wings, even though the price of $22 for 12 gives a bit of sticker shock. Recently tried the Brussels and they were tasty as well. Of course, the bar is always on point as well. The taps are flowing and the beers on rotations are always solid. Parking here is plentiful on both sides of the building. As long as you are in and out within 2 hours it is complimentary, but the main lot is a pay lot. Service was great from entry to exit. No issues at all. Overall, super pumped to M.L. in the neighborhood - We will quickly become regulars!

Not my favorite spot and the service is less then lack luster. I have great empathy for the…read moresituation on getting and retaining good people, however the lack of give a care at this spot screams go away! Once you figure out where to sit and how to order (from the bar or from a server) you get a little frustrated. This was my third experience and once again it was a disappointment. Between the blaming of others or systems that don't work. I was done and I gave up coming to this location anymore. The food was decent and that would have been enough any other day, but not today...not in the mood to be ignored. I can do that anywhere else in Nashville.
