As it turns out they could, and they were ready for us when we made our way across the hall. They gave us a choice of where we'd like to sit, and there were two chairs at the end looking out of the windows at skyline of the city. What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. Totally unexpected, and that just meant we had to have more than one round to make sure that we could appropriately tip and show our appreciation for the amazing hospitality! The drinks were great. I tend to gravitate towards the less sweet. The Japanese Anchorage scratched that elitch very well being boozy forward, with hints of flavors. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Very good, a little sweeter and a little heavier than I'd normally prefer. It met both of our preferences right in the middle. Compromise, right? Great experience, and would absolutely come back when in town!

The bartender, Skye, (who is amazing btw!) took great care of me and even offered me a taste of a spirit behind the bar for a recommended cocktail. The entire experience is worth the price point. I recommend taking a ride share and walking to your venue on a nice evening. I'm glad the Voorhees building is being restored. I'll be back to try their burger!

We had been spending the weekend checking out different parts of Nashville, and since this is Jelly Roll's bar, we definitely wanted to stop in and see what it was all about. The place has a really fun Nashville atmosphere. There is a lot going on, the music fits the setting perfectly, and it has that energetic downtown Nashville feel that makes you want to hang around for a while. We had a great time walking around, checking everything out, and enjoying the atmosphere with our group. I also thought it was pretty cool seeing all of the Jelly Roll touches throughout the place. You can tell they wanted the bar to have its own personality instead of just feeling like another generic spot on Broadway. There was plenty to look at and the whole place had a fun vibe. We were in Nashville for a football game, but getting out with friends and checking out places like Goodnight Nashville ended up being a big part of what made the weekend so much fun. It was nice having a place where we could relax, hang out, and take in some of the Nashville experience. Definitely had a great time here. If you are a Jelly Roll fan or just looking for a fun place to check out while you are spending a weekend in Nashville, Goodnight Nashville is worth a stop. I am glad we made it part of our trip.

Instead, staff consulted a manager and simply told me they would not be serving me. Meanwhile, the other members of my group, all around the same age and carrying valid IDs, were able to order drinks without issue. As an Asian customer, I left this establishment believing I was racially profiled. I was singled out, denied service despite presenting valid identification, and never given a legitimate explanation for why my ID was supposedly unacceptable. Since the incident, I have found multiple reviews from other customers of color describing experiences that raised similar concerns about profiling and disparate treatment. The entire experience was humiliating, unprofessional, and unacceptable. There are plenty of businesses in Nashville that can verify IDs without treating customers this way.

We all had fun, but the biggest problem is that ALL the seating is reserved for table service. ALL of it!!! And the minimum was $250. I understand if some seating is reserved, that's normal. But all of it?? Me and my group would've stayed longer but without any where to sit a chill (without paying a small fortune) we just couldn't. Since it's a basement, it was a bit muggy down there too especially by the restrooms. The lack of seating is why this place doesn't get 5 stars. Hope that can be changed in the future!
