Glad we got here early because the seating is limited and the place filled up quickly. Came for the fried bologna sandwich and it did not disappoint. Haven't had bologna since I was a kid but this sandwich was way better than anything I could remember back then. Juicy and crisp and cheap! Can't ask for much more.

YES! Grab a Pabst, fried bologna sandwich mixed with some straight up Honky Tonk music and you have a recipe for an amazing time! Get a spot early if you're planning to catch Kelly's Hero's because the bar will fill up fast!

Did research on my visit to Nashville and Robert's came up often, mainly for their recession special so marked this spot down as the pregame spot when hitting up Broadway. When you enter, it's just like majority of the bars in Broadway, live music and lively crowd. I came here to get something quick to eat and drink to start the night and the recession special fit the bill. Recession special consists of a fried bologna sandwich on toasted bread with a bag of chips and a can of PBR for just $6. It's a bologna sandwich so don't expect something out of this world but with live music and lively vibes, it's a perfect way to get the night started. Highly recommend stopping by and if you're on a budget, def worth trying out the recession special.

Locals took us to this place. We were pleasantly surprised with their $2.75 specials for beer. The band was good and I guess their bologna sandwiches must be the talk of the town with the $6 specials.

Went here with my daughter & her friend last night. Ordered a hamburger & chicken fingers with fries & it was delish! Great happy atmosphere! But the bartender, a girl named Sammy was the star!! She was amazing! My daughter & her friend made a new friend here in Nashville!!

Our favorite place to go on Broadway! We went Saturday night. The place was PACKED. The cook probably had about 25 tickets before we placed our order. We were told it would be about an hour to get our food. And of course....we didn't care! 25 minutes later our food was up and just was perfect as it always is. Best fried bologna sandwiches around!

Robert's Western World is the most original honky tonk bar on Broadway St. that only plays traditional country music. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service is friendly. Everything is old school from the music to the prices. There are very few places today where you can watch live music and have a $6 meal. The Recession Special is a fried bologna sandwich with chips, a moon pie, and PBR. The french fry basket is only $8 and comes hot and crispy in a basket large enough to share with 2-3 people. This is a must visit for a real honky tonk experience.

Love this place! Old school country on the stage, PBR as a beer option. And the server are friendly and provide great service. The ambiance of the place is Honky Tonk for sure. It's a great spot to listen to folks who know how to play soulful country music. We stopped in on November 6, 2025 and it was a great time.

I'm reluctant to do the millionth review of the fried baloney sandwich, but I can't resist. It's a great country music bar with constant, great. live music and 1970s prices. We had the recession special lunch, a fried baloney sandwich, a PBR beer, bag of chips, and mini moon pie, yours for $6. The music was great, as was the service. WOW!

Recession Special (fried bologna sandwich, chips, moon pie, and PBR), all for $6.00. Loved it.

This was probably my favorite honky tonk of all the bars I visited along Broadway (and no, I didn't go into all of them). It's small and doesn't have a DJ or 73,000 people crammed onto the rooftop bar. In fact, it doesn't even have a rooftop bar, or even an accessible rooftop. It does have a smallish second floor. The live band was great during our visit. There were no seats available downstairs so we planted ourselves upstairs and enjoyed the music, the drinks, and the food. Of course, we had to get the "Recession Special" (fried bologna sandwich, chips, moon pie, and a PBR, all for $6). Honestly, I could have easily devoured two complete specials but I am currently watching my girlish figure. The sandwich was good and much better than you might think. The drinks are strong here and the prices are reasonable. It's small, intimate, has great live music, strong drinks, and good bologna. I know it's not the hippest of joints but if you want an enjoyable place to enjoy very good live country music, make sure you come here.

Escape the chaos and other overpriced bars along Broadway and enjoy this little slice of Country Heaven. Always enjoy the Recession Special: a fried bologna sandwich, chips, mini moon pie and a pbr for only $5 just can't be beat. Full bar and dining menus to please everyone in the crowd. Usually try to stop by either before or after attending a nearby concert. The elevated stage near the entrance has a rotating list of county singers with or without a full band. Perfect vibes to get the evening started or ending to the night. The packed crowd and myself always have a good time.

    Best deal on the strip!

What?? No bologna! This was our favorite spot on the Broadway! The galley style was cool and and we hiked up to the 2nd floor and found a nice table overlooking the band and the bar! We were referred here by the receptionist at the country museum in Bristol! I'm so glad we followed her advice. The music was authentic country with upright bass and fiddles. We stayed here at this honky tonk the longest of all the places on the strip! We loved the cowboy boot wall and the effervescent atmosphere! The best past? The bologna burger, chips, PBR & moon pie all for $6 and served lightning fast! Now that's with the trip!

Robert's Western World on Lower Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. American classic Honkey Tonk establishment.

This is the best bar if you like classic country music definitely on Broadway if not in all of Nashville. One of the few family owned establishments that have been doing it for decades. The environment is fantastic, the prices are great and the staff and music will keep you coming back. I've visited every establishment on the lower Broadway strip, and by far this one stands out for numerous reasons. If you're making a trip to Nashville don't forget to add this to your spots to visit. They have a bologna sandwich there that is notoriously popular. This place has a vibe like no other in the area.

Can a person get pop with recession special as I don't drink?

Yes but don't ask for a discount. It's $6 you can't go to subway for that.

What and when is the cover charge for bars on broadway?

Well, not sure that I am the best person to answer this, but I'll share my recent experience (last week!). My friends and I spent 4 days in Nashville, and along Broadway, we did not have to pay cover charge at any of the bars we went to. Rather, the… Read more

Can someone give me a parking lot recommendation to come here?

    How late is food served?

As long as they're opened!!! All day long!!!

Can you bring a 14-year old after 6PM?

I have no idea. You may want to call the place. I didn't see any kids in there while we were there.

What are the protocols to combat covid? Masks required? Proof of vaccination?

There is no Covid in Nashville

What is the age requirement?? 18? Or 21?

All ages until 6pm, 21+ after. We like and encourage youngsters to come in with an adult. It's never to early to learn about traditional country music.

    Are kids welcome?

    Yes certainly during the day.

What time does live music start at night?

    11AM until close

Is there any people up slow dancing, when the music is playing?

Thank you for taking the time to reach out! Occasionally, there are slower songs played where folks will get up and dance. However, it does really depend on the particular band that is playing on how often they play slower songs... I would say the… Read more

Nashville is a music town, throw a rock and you'll find a great spot at a bar playing music. Some of the bars have a stage where bands are jammin'! I'm looking for something different, something more contemporary, live jazz and a speakeasy feel. Skull's Rainbow Room delivered. Walking up to Printer's Alley, it's already giving off speakeasy vibes. I did my classic move, Get to the restaurant early and tell the waitress I'm so hungry and promise I won't be here all night. Man... I was set up with a great table and was told I have less than two hours. (I mean, I am Bill S from New York, I can be quite persuasive) My waiter comes over, we start talking about the east coast, how he misses New Jersey but loves his new home in Nashville. I order a martini and thick Prime Rib cut along with a side of truffle mashed potatoes. My drink comes out quickly and now I am in the jazz zone. These guys rocked it! Great music along with strong cocktails, I laugh and say to myself: I'm getting paid to be here! My steak comes to the table very quickly. Man this steak cut is a thing of beauty. The au jus with a bite of the truffle mashed potato, heaven. Now the piano player start playing The Love Theme from The Godfather?? Am I in heaven or.. are they trying to seduce me to the other side as I order another cocktail? Just a fantastic night, from the music to the food and libations at Skull's Rainbow Room. My waiter says, it's been two hours, would you like your drink brought to the bar? I declined as I paid my check. Skull's Rainbow Room is a must stop when in Nashville. You can check out any time you want.. but you can never leave!
